You have to be divisional wrestler to challenge for a divisional title. He wanted the title and took it. He could have just as easily established his "dominance" by beating said champion in a non-title match. I already agreed it did, but I said they BEAT UP ALL OF WCW. But it didn't devalue the belt. There's a difference between getting beat up and losing your title in a championship match. Otherwise wrestlers would hand over their titles after beat downs.
