The people that try to downplay how over Jey is just because he has a catchphrase people can chant really need to watch how crazy this entire arena is going for Jey right now. The entire WWE universe all 15,000+ of them are all making insane amount of noise, and all doing his waving taunt. It’s a lot more than just liking his catchphrase.

And even that is nothing to sneeze out. If you can get a crowd to chant along with your catchphrase, that’s still valid and makes you over. Not everyone has a catchphrase and get it over like this, but these guys are going nuts for this man’s entrance and they’re spending 5+ minutes doing his wave. This man is getting close to being on that Goldberg level of over.
