SourceWWE has reportedly signed two of the participants from the Cruiserweight Classic tournament in Kota Ibushi and Gran Metalik. Both men are said to have signed NXT deals.
Ibushi is 34 years old and has worked in such promotions and New Japan Pro Wrestling and DDT. He’s held the IWGP jr. heavyweight belt and the jr. heavyweight tag team titles. He was also the winner of the 2015 New Japan Cup. At the 2015 Wrestle Kingdom event, he wrestled Shinsuke Nakamura in an excellent match.
Gran Metalik aka Mascara Dorada is 27 years old. He’s previously worked in CMLL for several years and has also done tours in NJPW.
Kota Ibushi leaves NJPW and DDT for being burned out, and signs with WWE. :eww:
But I'm excited for Mascara Dorada and Kota Ibushi to be coming in, WWE is really packing up the Japanese talents.
