"WWE Saturday Morning Slam" electrifies Saturday mornings on The CW

The series premiere of WWE Saturday Morning Slam on August 25 (CW, 10-10:30am) was Saturday morning’s (7am-12pm) most watched program on CW among total viewers and the following kids demos: Kids under 18, Kids 2-5, Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11, Kids 9-14, Boys under 18, Boys 2-5, Boys 2-11, Boys 6-11, Girls under 18, Girls 2-11, Girls 6-11, Girls 9-14 and Female Teens (F12-17).

It delivered a 0.7 U.S. household rating / 2 share in 747,000 TV households with 1,126,000 total viewers (persons 2+). This household rating is up +75% versus the prior four week time period performance which averaged a 0.4 U.S. household rating / 1 share in 456,000 TV households with 675,000 total viewers.

The top programs among total viewers during the Vortexx block were:

1.1 million viewers is massive especially for a weekend kids show. It is drawing more than NXT and similar to what WWE ECW was drawing, only a few thousand lower than Impact as well. I expect that quite a few people were tuning in just to see what it was like and it probably will drop a bit next week but WWE must be over the moon about that result.

- Planet Funk as the girls had a new routine for the match, maybe for this show
- Shane McMahon buying WCW flashback for the history moment
- Rey's superstar spotlight
- Sandow promo for next week

Bad
- Santino on commentary, god he's bad, I mean fucking call Mike Adamle bad

I watched the show again, I liked the non-wrestling stuff better than week one, but Clay/Hawkins wasn't close to Kingston/Slater. I actually felt a sense of accomplishment for guessing the trivia question correctly too...even if it's one of the easiest ever.

Well yeah it's clay. They gave him an extended squash in Geroge the Animal fashion. Crowd like it though.

As for the question, I liked it only because it seemed like yesterday that moment happened, but it was well over 11 years back

I also found it kind of funny that most of Hawkins's great leg work wasn't shown and we got random cuts to the announcers or Cameron & Naomi. Guess sitting on a guy's leg draped over the ropes isn't TV-G.
