So awesome to see Drew get his dues.

Edge pop was nuts too.

I was a little disappointed with the lack of some storylines being sold off - AJ Styles being eliminated before Randy got into the ring (I really wouldn't be surprised if it was a botch), Baron Corbin running a promo half-way through the show about teaching Roman a lesson in the rumble when the Uso's can't help him (but being eliminated before Roman got into the ring), were two of the more obvious ones.

Gotta give credit to WWE for learning from their tone-deaf mistakes with old Roman and 2019 face Seth and actually listening to the fans. As much as Drew is awesome, I think half of my pop was that Roman was actually eliminated.

This sets up Roman vs Fiend and Brock vs Drew imo.

Also loved seeing Black get a good little run, and the intersection between Rollins' cult members and Owens/Joe/Black's storylines was very well done.

Didn't want the Becky/Asuka match but considering Becky won I wasn't particularly enamoured with any of the female events. Should have been Baszler if Becky was going to beat Asuka tbh. Or just anyway - we don't need ANOTHER Flair title match ffs.


She's starting to get the old Roman treatment from the crowd (she is kind of a heel so its not as bad but she looked really pissed although it may have been good acting).

NGL my hope was that Shayna won the RR, we had her use her title shot on Rhea at Wrestlemania (as it would break ground to have an NXT title match on the main card I imagine)as Ripley really deserves a big Wrestlemania match after the year she's had.

I think there are a mountain of fans who would rather see Shayna vs Rhea rematch vs Becky vs Charlotte x 100049390432

Lacey Evans really struggled against Bayley too. Quite a few botches and really looked quite sloppy, which is a pity as I really think Lacey has so much potential.

Bryan vs Fiend was awesome as is to be expected. It was booked pretty well too with the Fiend acting like the monster and Bryan like the gutsy underdog - as opposed to that horrific HiAC match between Seth and fiend.

Also no red light WO

Great opening match with Roman and King Corbin.
Edge returning.
No red light during The Fiend's match.

Cons
Bayley and Lacey was sloppy.
Everything with Mandy Rose.
Charlotte winning the Royal Rumble instead of Shayna Bazler.
Keith Lee and John Morrison looking like chumps.

The women’s RR was better than the men’s, minus boring Charlotte winning again and probably setting up another Becky vs Charlotte yawn fest. Bianca was easily the highlight, I would have loved if her or Shayna won.

The men’s RR was trash, except everything Drew. That was well deserved. I was worried they would go Roman, fuck that garbage, but, glad they made the right choice here.

So my stream stopped working last night right around the time KO came out so I just went to bed, but I finished this when I woke up and FUCK YES DREW IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!

Charlotte winning the Womens Royal Rumble was a complete shock. I loved it of course, but it still was puzzling at the same time. The only way that this makes sense is if she challenges Ripley instead of the two obvious choices. NXT was involved in that match and so the NXT Womens Championship should be an option.

McIntyre winning the Mens Royal Rumble completely made me happy. Roman Reigns was my pick, but i'm fine with McIntyre too. I just fear that this will be all for nothing because Lesnar lost to Rollins last year twice. Lesnar eliminating a large chunk of the men from the match sucked, but I guess it did what it was intended: Get McIntyre cheered.

Loved the Edge surprise and I love that he isn't afraid to show that he is much older than he was when he retired. It added to his character. An older veteran Edge wanting one more chance at winning the Royal Rumble match after having to retire 9 years before.

Keith Lee going toe to toe with Lesnar was awesome.

Lacey Evans vs. Bayley, not one of Laceys better performances. Both have had a better match together in the past. I really wanted Lacey to win because within a year shes lost to both Becky and Bayley many, many times. Shes already turned babyface and has gone through the "i'm a mom" thing. Like, in another year shes going to only be used on Main Event at the rate that they are going with her.

The rest were decent matches.

Good PPV. Surprised that two RAW wrestlers won the Royal Rumble matches AGAIN.
