- With the 2014 WWE pay-per-view dates recently being released, it appears WWE will be dropping either Battleground or Hell In a Cell in 2014. They will run 13 pay-per-views however they are going to add a second pay-per-view to June, bringing back The Bash at The Beach. There is also talk that next year's October pay-per-view may feature a War Games match, something fans have been wanting for a long time. The only potential hang-up is that Survivor Series usually features four-on-four matches and it would be odd to do a four-on-four in October and in November.
I'll believe War Games when I actually see it on the schedule, been rumoured forever now that HHH wants to do that PPV so will be interesting to see if he eventually gets his own way.

Meh, I really didn't care for any WCW PPV names. I'd be all for a WarGames match but it's not happening.

Yeah it'd be a bit odd to have three cage based gimmick PPV's in the space of 4 months.

Bash coming back means nothing really, all the B-PPV's seem to swap names each year anyway. BRING BACK JUDGMENT DAY AND ARMEGEDDON though.

Yeah, the WWE 1999-2008ish PPV names were the best, I hated when they changed them.

I'd like to see a WarGames match but they'd probably have to be added to a show like Hell in a Cell.

I also have no problem switchin' up names to their PPVs if they keep a violent feel to them. I loved Bragging Rights for the name but that was just for humor purposes, I couldn't take the name seriously.

If they brought the War Games in they would have to make adjustments.

I don't have too many problems with WCW's PPV titles, but it just seems pointless bringing them back because WWE are running out of good names.

They should do what they've done in recent years and bring back and old named PPV every year. Like they did with No Way Out and Vengeance. Just keep switching it up. They have the names to last for years. Would love to see Judgment Day, or Armageddon come back.

Have to admit though, I would love to see WWE do a Starrcade event.

Starrcade would be great if it was run in it's usual December slot.

I'd even be ok with it replacing Survivor Series tbh. As long as it's treated like a big 4 event which it was historically (WCW's Mania wasn't it?)

Yeah, it was WCW's biggest show of the year, so I think WWE could have some success with it if they treated it like a big deal. It would be cool to see a WCW One Night Only thing like they did for ECW. As long as it actually is One Night Only and they don't do it every year.

Yeah, I take my last post back. Starrcade was the only WCW PPV name that I really liked but I can't really see WWE bringing it back, who knows though.

I would be up for that if they had to use a WCW themed one. December would be a good month for it too as normally the December show is pointless.

Indeed it was. I'd love it if WWE brought Starrcade back. I was always a huge fan of the event and I'd rather see that then Bash at The Beach.

War Games is a rumor that comes out every year or so, so I'm highly skeptical about that. But if it does happen and it's done right; it'll be awesome. I feel like it can't be done on some B PPV though

I'd hate to see WWE bring back Starrcade as a B-Level PPV, it used to be WCW's biggest show. WWE takin' that and makin' it just another PPV would tarnish it greatly but I guess new school fans don't care about the past so we can just skip over tradition for them.

If WWE brought it back I'd want it to replace Survivor Series.

WCW treated Starrcade like a B-level PPV.

Not sure why Bash at The Beach would be brought back, it's a dumb name. Superbrawl sounds cooler than that. And Wargames was a clusterfuck to shoot and annoying to watch through a cage with that many bodies. Plus the fact that I knew that nothing mattered until everyone gets in the cage. Rather just see a 3 on 3 Elimination Chamber match instead.

And 13 PPVs? Fuck off......not going to learn that putting 3 PPVs so close every year just kills their buyrate momentum in the fall. Terrible idea.

Did WWE learn nothing when they tried to bring back The Great American Bash back in 2004? You wanna talk about buyrates and ratings go check that shit out. Now as for the Wargames, well I'm not sure about putting it near the Survivor Series due to resembling a huge team on team match. If they stuck it maybe in the pre-Summerslam months then maybe that would be alright, it would make it a B-PPV but still.

As for it replacing Survivor Series as one of the Big Four... no. I like the Big Four because the events have a lot of history behind it, and it's the only 4 PPV's that didn't have their name changed to compliment the monthy gimmick matches. Why ruin a good thing to hold an event for a match that really isn't interesting in the first place, sorry to say.
