WWE officially released three developmental talents this morning from WWE NXT, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Jake Carter (Jesse White), the son of former WCW and IWGP champion Big Van Vader. He was signed to a developmental deal in 2011 and last appeared on NXT in January, losing to Corey Graves.

Luther Ward, an Irish talent signed just last month who had worked overseas under the ring name OMEN.
Malik Omari, a British worker originally born in Gambia, West Africa. He was signed in early 2013.

Bit surprised at Jake Carter being released but then again he hadn't appeared on NXT for almost the entire year. Be good for him to go out and get more experience around the world, I am sure that his dad will be able to get him into Japan.

Anyone else feel for Luther Ward? Signed last month, is an overseas talent so was probably organising moving to another country and then he gets sacked.

I expect WWE to make some main roster releases soon after downgrading their financial forecast for the rest of the year.

Can't comment too much as I don't much about any of them, but besides being a little harsh on Ward I also find it silly from WWE's prospective to sign a guy just a month ago and before they can have any idea of his prospects they let him go. There were surely others who deserved the chop ahead of him.

Don't remember seeing Vader's son on NXT. The other 2, meh not really bothered about them. I would assume we may be getting more NXT cuts soon, because there's way too many people down in Orlando, and with them signing people all the time, there's only a certain amount of people that can work the tapings/house shows.

It's the time of year that JTG feels like he's John Cena cause his ass is never getting cut.

I seem to remember WWE saying that they were hiring more wrestlers now that the new Performance Centre is up and running. I thought that it could handle a lot more people.

It has been a long time since WWE went on a firing spree. I don't seem to recall them doing their annual post WM cull this year. Will be surprised if he, and a few others, last the rest of the year.
