[Backstory]

In May of 2021, the WWE held their Backlash PPV. It was received horribly by fans, with a record low attendance, record low viewership and dissatisfaction across the norm. This was not a unique occurence. Raw's ratings were abysmal, to the point where USA officials were contemplating a breach of contract. Smackdown was doing a little better, but Fox were growing impatient at their huge financial outlay not reaping the expected rewards. WrestleMania failed to sell out and the show fell flat. Internally from the Stamford headquarters, growing concerns were held for Vince McMahon's diminishing mental capacity and him losing touch with his baby. Sponsors and investors were growing ever disgruntled. Something had to change. WWE legal rummaged through their ledger and found what they needed - the 'Dusty' clause, which saw that Vince was no longer fit to run the company. The Board of Directors voted to remove him from his position of CEO, and in the contingency plan, executive powers were transmitted to his children, Shane & Stephanie, along with Triple H.
The board took an insane gamble - they suspended operations for WWE with immediate effect. All TV tapings, house shows, signings were cancelled. This was to take effect for one month, to allow the WWE to rebuild to the mega power that it once was. Triple H knew what had to be done, so he signed up some of the smartest minds in professional wrestling for organisation - Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Paul Heyman, Eric Bischoff and Raven. Decisions were made regarding championship titles and branding for the WWE. A short term deal was manufactured with Full Sail University to convert their arena to the 'Raw Zone' for Raw and the 'Smackdown Hotel' for Smackdown. Improvement of the television product was paramount. Championship belt designs were re-evaluated and would be unveiled accordingly on programming. The first episode of Raw was slated for June 14, 2021, from Winter Park in Florida.

[News Updates]

WWE Executive Triple H held a media scrum in Orlando earlier this morning prior to Monday's relaunch. These are the most noteworthy tidbits:

- The Raw and Smackdown tag team divisions will be unified. The current champions, and their next contenders, will compete in matches over the next few weeks leading to a championship unification match

- The Raw and Smackdown Women's championships are officially rebranded. On Raw, the champion will be referred to as the WWE Women's Champion, and on Smackdown, the WWE Universal Women's Champion. Both championship belts have been redesigned and will feature on the first shows back.

- Gimmick named PPVs have been abolished. Old classics from WWF and WCW will return.

- Triple H strongly hinted at a stronger focus on tag team wrestling, his niche in NXT, and even suggested their may be a special championship being introduced down the line.

- The King of the Ring tournament and PPV will return, on July 3rd, 2021. Further details will be provided on television.

- The 24/7 Championship has been retired. A new championship will take its place, but you'll have to tune in to Raw to find out those details.

Monday Night Raw
June 14th 2021
Winter Park, Florida

[Cold Open]

The camera pans around the Raw Zone arena showing the fans in attendance. The mood lighting is bright and energetic, with the stage showing a crisp look. Fans are cheering like crazy as a small burst of pyro goes off.

Joseph: After one month on hiatus, ladies and gentlemen, we are BACK live here on the USA network, emanating from the immaculate Raw Zone arena in beautiful Winter Park, Florida.

A raucous cheer booms around the arena as the WWE CEO, Triple H, emerges from the entrance way, dressed in a sharp suit and tie. He is holding a black suitcase in his hand. Triple H surveys the arena, nodding with a pleased smirk. He walks down the ramp, as the crowd chants his name. He walks up the stairs and enters the ring, grabbing a microphone.

Triple H: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome BACK to MONDAY NIGHT RAW!!!

A huge cheer goes up from the crowd

Triple H: The last month has not been easy, and I can assure you that as restless as the WWE universe has been....so to have the superstars backstage. They’ve been training their asses off each day to keep in prime shape.

A moderate round of applause starts up

Triple H: Now, there is a little housekeeping to complete before we get to in-ring action. First up, next week on Raw, you will see the Raw Tag Team Champions making their final championship defence, as AJ Styles and Omos will compete against The Hurt Business and RK-Bro in a triple-threat tag team match. The winner of this match will be recognised as the final champions, moving on to the unification match against the Smackdown champions.

The camera cuts backstage showing all 3 teams, separately, absorbing the news ahead of them.

Triple H: But that’s not all the championship action. Tonight, it gives me great pleasure to announce a brand new championship belt for the WWE. This championship is open to every single male on the Raw, Smackdown and NXT rosters, and will be defended each week. In tonight’s main-event, there will be an open-invitational battle royal to determine the first ever WWE..............Television Champion.

Triple H opens up the briefcase, and removes a belt bag. He then opens it up, and presents the championship to the hard TV camera

TV Title.png

Triple H: There’s more. At this time, I’d like to invite the WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley, and the Raw Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley, to join me in the ring

The fans go nuts as the Ripper makes her way down to the ring, the Raw women’s title draped across her shoulder. She has a cautious look on her face as she approaches Triple H. She shakes his hand and makes her way to one corner of the ring.

The sheer presence of the Almighty champion captivates the crowd. Bobby Lashley makes his way down to the ring, sharply dressed in a suit and looking annoyed at being called out. He seems impatient and mouths something to Triple H, who then mouths something back.

Triple H: During the week, for those who follow the socials, you may know what’s about to happen. For those who don’t, allow me to fill you in. It’s time that these championship belts were reimagined into something prestigious and something worthwhile to possess. Something that makes you stand out as the ass kicker that you are. So, Bobby, Rhea, if you may, I would like you to hand over those title belts for me.

Rhea looks down at her title, looks at the crowd, then back to the title. She hands it over to Triple H, nervously, not knowing the consequence for her action. Bobby hesitates. He unhooks the title from his waist, then motions to give it to Triple H. Triple H grabs the belt, but Lashley holds on. A tense stand off begins, before Triple H mouths something to Lashley.

Triple H: Bobby, I don’t what has crawled up your arse, but this is meant to be a momentous occasion. So cut the crap, or I’m going to punch your teeth down your throat.

Lashley tenses up and unfastens his suit jacket.

Triple H: Relax. You’ll need to trust me, Bob. Relax. Now, as I was trying to say. The Raw Women’s Championship is no more. In its place is the newly fashioned WWE Women’s Championship. It gives me great honour and distinction to announce that Rhea Ripley will be the first woman to hold this championship, continuing her previous reign.

Applause from the crowd

Triple H: And, just the same, Bobby Lashley will remain the WWE Champion. The reason I asked both of these individuals out here tonight is to present them with the NEWLY designed championship belts. So Bobby, Rhea, here you go.

Triple H goes back to the briefcase, and collects two championship belts. He hands one to Lashley, and one to Ripley. Both Lashley and Ripley look very pleased, and triumphantly hold up the championship belts to the hard camera

WWE_Title.png

Women's_World_Title.png

Triple H: But....that’s no guarantee that you remain champion...tonight. Rhea, you will have the distinct honour of being involved in the first match in the history of the Raw zone, as you defend your Women’s Championship against...Carmella. And Bobby, you’ll be defending the WWE Championship tonight against a very worthy challenger...Rey Mysterio

The crowd applauds these announcements

Triple H: Now, WWE Universe, fans of the Raw Zone....are you ready? I SAID ARE...YOU...READY? Then, it’s time to get RAAAAAAAAWWWWW

Carmella makes her way to the ring, met with a chorus of boos. Rhea Ripley is already waiting inside the ring.

Joseph:
Yes folks, the King of the Ring is returning in all its glory. 16 men will enter the tournament and one will be left as the king.

Graves: And to the winner, no longer a stupid crown or gimmick, but a championship opportunity of his choosing at SummerSlam

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

[Video package showing an abandoned shack in the middle of a swamp land. Sinister cackling is heard in the distance. A small child skips across the meadow – she looks into the distance, her jaw drops and she silently screams and turns ghostly white. Flies start to swirl around her]

The United States Champion, Sheamus, is shown backstage shining up his championship belt. The camera pans wider to show he is standing with Chad Gable.

Sheamus: 3 new championship title designs and mine isn’t even looked at?

Gable: Well, it is pretty alright looking as is, Sheamus. I think you’re just being a bit of a brat

Sheamus: The hell you say to me? Get on out of my sight before I kick your arse

Gable: Haha, do we have a problem? I’ll gladly take that belt off your shoulders if it’s that much of a problem, fella.

Sheamus gets up into Gable’s face, trying to intimidate him. Gable doesn’t back down. Triple H happens to be walking past.

Triple H: Now, what the hell is happening with you two?

Sheamus: This little prick was just leav...

Gable socks Sheamus in the jaw and starts a flurry of offence. Triple H and other agents break it up, and the crowd can be heard booing.

Triple H: No. No. This doesn’t happen here. It happens out in the ring. NOW!

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

Match #4: Sheamus vs Chad Gable

Summary:
Gable starts off with a flurry of offence. Sheamus brushes him off and swats him away with his superior physical power. Gable though doesn’t relent, using a variety of takedowns and diversion tactics that are clearly frustrating the Celtic Warrior. Gable then unleashes three German suplexes in a row resulting in a very close near fall. Sheamus counters the flurry with a stiff punch that sends Gable rocking, followed by a white noise, but Gable kicks out. Sheamus then continues to pummel Gable with lefts and rights, before Gable pops up with a belly-to-belly suplex, followed by a fishermen suplex for a very near 3. Sheamus rolls to the outside, but Gable pursues. He delivers a snap suplex on the outside, then tries to roll Sheamus into the ring. He manages it slowly, and gets himself primed for another German suplex. He grasps onto Sheamus, who powers out of the grip and clotheslines Gable. Gable gets up and charges Sheamus, but Sheamus ducks, and as Gable comes back off the ropes, Sheamus delivers a BROGUE KICK right to the head. Sheamus makes the cover for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Sheamus (11:23)

Sheamus stands tall over Gable and starts to talk trash, then kicks Gable’s shoulder. Gable grabs Sheamus’ foot and takes him down, continuing the brawl. Gable performs some more suplexes and has Sheamus reeling before WHAM! Gable is attacked from behind by CESARO. Cesaro lifts Gable up and delivers a suplex of his own, followed by a neutraliser. Cesaro then walks over and helps Sheamus to his feet, and the former tag team partners make their way up the ramp

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

Match #5: Damien Priest vs The Miz
King of the Ring Qualification Match

Summary:
Priest and Miz start punching each other back and forth, with Priest getting the slight advantage. Miz tries his underhanded tactics but they don’t seem to have any effect on Priest. Priest delivers some stiff kicks to Miz which weaken him, then quickly delivers a RECKONING. Priest makes the cover for the win

Winner via pinfall: Damien Priest (4:09)

[The camera cuts backstage to Rey Mysterio with the back of his head visible. He is looking down at his mask]

Mysterio:
For almost 30 years I have competed inside this squared circle. I have fought Phenoms, cowboys, monsters, animals, beasts, the best of the luchadores and have always shown my heart and desire. Tonight is no different. Bobby Lashley is a different creature. His dominance is intimidating, but he’s not unbeatable. My heart and will to win is stronger than his. Tonight, I become WWE Champion once again

On another camera cut, Bobby Lashley is watching this on a TV monitor. He laughs to himself.

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

Match #6
Bobby Lashley (c) vs Rey Mysterio
WWE_Title.png

WWE Championship Match

Summary: Mysterio is hot out the blocks, charging in and delivering a dropkick to Lashley’s right knee, causing him to buckle. Mysterio follows this up with a flurry of leg kicks to both legs, causing further strain. Lashley attempts to swat Rey away, but Mysterio is relentless. The kicking arsenal is proving almost too much. Rey then attempts to whip Lashley, but Bobby uses his strength to counter and clothesline Rey down. Lashley then unloads with punches and tackles into the corner, sending Rey to the mat. Lashley is like an animal stalking his victim. He tosses Rey across the ring, then drops him with a delayed vertical suplex. Lashley feels his moment coming, and BOOM, he locks in the Hurt Lock. He thrashes Mysterio about, expecting the quick submission, but Rey digs deep. His heart doesn’t know how to quit. He summons up all the energy he can and using forward momentum he launches Lashley into the ropes. Mysterio pounces on the opportunity, and runs it to deliver a SIX-ONE-NINE. Lashley staggers back to the middle of the ring. Mysterio climbs to the top and delivers a seated senton. Back to the top, and Mysterio comes off with a frog splash. Lashley writhes in pain, but doesn’t look down. Mysterio heads back up and WHAM a second frog splash. Mysterio almost instantly goes back to the top and delivers a THIRD frog splash with almighty impact. Rey makes the cover...1....2....and NO! Lashley somehow gets his foot onto the bottom rope. Rey cannot believe it. The crowd have had their energy sucked out of them. Mysterio heads up top once more, and he waits for Lashley to get back to his feet. Rey jumps off, looking for another senton, but Lashley ducks, and Mysterio rolls through. Mysterio gets to his feet and turns around to run back at Lashley but is almost cut in half with a devastating SPEAR. Lashley makes the cover...1...2....3!!!!

Winner via pinfall, and STILL WWE Champion: Bobby Lashley (21:05)

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

Rhea Ripley is backstage doing a photo shoot with her new championship. She sets it down on a table to go grab some water. When she returns, she seems to be taken aback. Sitting right next to the championship on the table is a white mask. Ripley picks up the belt and looks around.

[Men’s Locker Room]

Various male wrestlers are shown strapping up for the battle royal later on in the evening. Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin and a host of others. There’s murmuring and glances all across.

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

Seth Rollins:
Money in the Bank. WWE Champion. Universal Champion. Royal Rumble winner. Tag Team Champion. Grand Slam Champion. You name it, I’ve done it. In a career as grand as mine, there’s not much left to do but...but one thing has peaked my interest. The King of the Ring. Next week, I’m told I have to have a qualification match to enter. I think that’s absurd. My resume speaks for itself, and I should be directly in the finals.

?: Is that right?

Rollins: Yes, it is. Who...Lince?

Lince Dorado: You need to watch your self, Seth. Overconfidence and ego can be a huge down fall for even the very best. You need to qualify for the tournament, well, so do I. I guess I’ll see you next week

Rollins just stands there, seething

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

Match #7: Open Invitational Battle Royal

TV Title.png

WWE Television Championship

Summary:
A count of at least 40 superstars has been made as the ring is absolutely bursting at the seam with competitors. The bell rings and it’s pandemonium. Bodies impacting into bodies and the crunching sounds of bone against canvas. A swarm of men surround one superstar, and then they all get thrown backwards, revealing that superstar to be Omos. Omos charges at the group and sends them flying. He walks over and grabs Kalisto, then launches him over the rope. He swats Dominik Mysterio in the chest and clotheslines him over the ropes. AJ Styles laughs at the carnage before him. Omos continues his powerful tirade, eliminating Gulak, Elias, Jinder Mahal, Mustafa Ali, Mansoor, Sami Zayn, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Omos takes too much time boasting his efforts, and with one huge lift, Cesaro tips him over the ropes to the floor below. The crowd go wild. Cesaro poses and a furious AJ Styles charges at him, but Cesaro simply back body drops him out of the ring onto Omos, eliminating him. Sheamus then teams up with Cesaro to pick apart some of the other wrestlers in the match when suddenly CHAD GABLE comes into the fray with a suplex for each of them. Gable is able to duck a brogue kick and lift Sheamus out of the ring, then suplex Cesaro out of the ring and eliminating both men. Gable is clutching at his neck when Sheamus pulls him out of the ring to eliminate him. Cesaro then powerbombs Gable onto the ramp. Back in the ring the action continues for a while with attempted eliminations and counters. Montez Ford gets eliminated by Apollo Crews. Damien Priest then eliminates Crews. Priest is standing tall. Superstars remaining are Priest, Ziggler, Roode, Balor and Shelton Benjamin. Priest gets ready to deliver a reckoning on Roode, but Ziggler makes the save. Shelton Benjamin then eliminates Priest. With all 3 opponents down, Shelton goes to the outside and collects the championship belt. He brings it into the ring, and raises it high in the air. He starts mouthing off when he is hit with a dropkick by Balor, knocking the title down to the mat. Balor then goes up top for his finish, but ZIGGLER SUPERKICKS HIM IN THE FACE knocking him to the floor. Ziggler slumps over the corner. Shelton charges him for a splash, but Ziggler ducks, and superkicks Shelton, sending him over the top and eliminating him. Ziggler is again slumped over the corner. The crowd builds anticipation for who will win between tag team partners, when Roode picks up the title on the mat. The shiny golden belt allures him, and then a sick smile crosses his face. He holds the belt tight and charges in, then with a sickening thud, HE HITS ZIGGLER IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. Ziggler slumps to the ground immediately and the crowd is stunned into silence. Roode then lifts up Ziggler’s lifeless body, and delivers a Glorious DDT. The rest is academical as Roode simply tosses Ziggler over the rope to the floor below.

Winner via elimination: Robert Roode (42:37)

Roode stands triumphantly with the championship as he wraps it around his waist. He then walks over to the timekeeper area and picks up...a blue robe. He puts the blue robe on, then walks back into the ring, soaking up the spotlight as Raw goes off the air.

Monday Night RAW #1 Review

- A tag-team unification makes a lot of sense, especially with the WWE that to this day I don't understand why they have two sets of tag teams titles - without a differentiation of heavyweight and juniors. Although, I do feel that this announcement would be better placed as a reveal following the triple threat championship - as an added bonus. But that is just my take. There is no wrong takes.

- I like the idea of a Television Championship - there is no messing around and it gets right to the point. No stupid name or gimmick, just bang on the money.

- Lashley and Rhea Ripley being invited to the ring. A lot of information being presented to open the show - but it makes sense because you are setting the scene for your project.

- Triple H threatening Bobby with a punch to the teeth seems intense - would feel that a heel would not allow anyone to speak to them like that. So I am guessing this is a face turn or at least a move towards being a tweener.

- I like the title belt designs - much better than the current ones. Ripley vs. Carmella, no cares for that match, but I can get behind Lashley vs. Rey.

- And a good choice with this music - throwback!

- nice to have Ripley defend the title in a fairly short contest, helps put her forward as a strong champion and also very much pushes Carmella to the side.

- King of the Ring tournament, but with an actual prize worth fighting is actually an idea that I can get behind. Turning the KOTR into something that can be compared to the G1 is a smart idea.

- Big E beating Cedric Alexander seems to be a very logical step here, no complaints at all.

- I am always a fan of on the fly booking, having Sheamus and Gable have a moment and then it be booked for a match straight away. That is something I enjoy seeing, Sheamus getting the win seems to be the right move here as well. I like Cesaro and Sheamus being together as a duo - they are a great fit.

- I hate the idea of Miz losing to Damien Priest, but I am completely biased as Miz as one of the few people IRL in the WWE that I am massive fan of.

- Bobby and Rey having an incredible match - really pushes this project one step up the ladder already. The readers get a good match and it is clear that Lashley is going to be a real champion moving forward.

- A white mask next to Rhea's belt? I am probably being stupid not connecting the dots, but I enjoy the unknown.

- Lince vs. Seth next week. I would laugh hard, if you had someone screw Seth over to get Lince to advance into the next round. This feels what you are setting up anyway.

- I like the main-event (although I think reading wise, if the paragraph was broken down into a few separate paragraphs it would be slightly easier to read. Sounds like a great match, but perhaps with a bit of build up would have been a beautiful feature on a future PPV. Nonetheless, Bobby Roode as the first champion feels like a good fit.

Overall: This was a great read - and I often find myself prefer fantasy WWE than the real thing. Going to enjoy following this project.

For NXT - I'd suggest perhaps a few more lines for the segments, just giving us the key points of what exactly was said or happened in the segments - just more for personal development of the characters. But that is just my POV

Friday Night Smackdown
June 18th 2021
Winter Park, Florida

[Cold Open]

The camera pans around the Smackdown Hotel arena showing the fans in attendance. The mood lighting is bright and energetic, with the stage showing a crisp look. Fans are cheering like crazy as a small burst of pyro goes off.

[** HEAD OF THE TABLE **]

The idle chatter and cheering is displayed by a feeling of awe and silence as this music can only mean that the Tribal Chief, the reigning Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, is making his way down the aisle. Roman stands atop the entrance way and canvases his new surroundings. He turns his head behind him, waiting impatiently. Boos start up when it’s revealed that Reigns is being flanked by his advisor, Paul Heyman, who is carrying the championship in his hands. Reigns enters the ring as pyro shoots off, and Heyman grabs a mic

Heyman: Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, and I am the special council to your tribal chief, your Undisputed Universal Champion, ROMAN....REIGNS

Reigns takes the title and holds it up high with his right hand, before placing it back over his shoulder

Heyman: Now even though the WWE was on a hiatus, your tribal chief did nothing of the sorts. He went back to Samoa and conquered all before him. He still commands your respect and demands that you acknowledge him

Reigns smirks, and gives the championship a slight readjustment

Heyman: Now, out of curiosity, we happened to be watching the relaunch of Raw on Monday night, and well, it was mildly impressive. That said, we’re not going to be following the demands of anybody. Roman Reigns MAKES the demands. So I am naturally assuming that Triple H has a nice new shiny championship belt ready to adorn the head of the table. So, Mr Helmsley, if you will – let’s not carry this on for much longer, and give Roman what is rightfully his

Boos ring out through the arena for Heyman’s arrogance.

[** THE GAME **]

Triple H emerges from the curtain with a mischievous grin, carrying a similar briefcase that was seen on Monday. He stares a hole through Heyman, and eyes Roman directly. Triple H acknowledges the fans as he makes his way into the ring

Triple H: Geez Heyman, some things just never change. You’re still a whinging, sulking, pathetic mouthpiece who loves to stir up shit

The crowd gushes whilst Reigns returns the title belt to Heyman, and walks towards Triple H

Triple H: Oh and let’s not forget about our chief either, Mr Big Dog, standing there looking like a statue waiting for his next command. C’mon Roman, do you really need this piece of crap waddling after you? You were once the muscle in a group that changed WWE how we know it. Now...now you’re a Lesnar clone

Reigns scoffs at that remark, goes to Heyman to get the title belt, and then shoves it right in Triple H’s face

Reigns: I’m no clone. I am the tribal chief. WWE may have undergone change but the constant remains that I am the bread winner around here. I am the measuring stick. And I don’t have time to sit here and trade insults. Just give me what is mine and let’s move on

Triple H smirks at the brashness of Reigns

Triple H: Roman, Roman, Roman. I admire your schtick, but now is not the time. You’re right, I do have something for you. But not just you. I also have something for our Smackdown Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair. So, without further ado, Bianca, if you could join us

Bianca enters the arena to a huge pop. She swings around her hair and shows off her title proudly. She skips down to the ring, then climbs in and shakes Triple H’s hand. Bianca stops momentarily to stare at Roman Reigns, who just turns his back on her.

Triple H: Now, thank you for joining me. At this time, I would like for both of you to hand over those championship belts to me, in order for you to receive your new designs.

Bianca jumps at the chance. She unhooks her title and quickly gives it to Triple H. She is beaming with excitement. Roman looks at her with disgust, then back to Triple H

Reigns: Why can’t I have both? Nobody has beaten me for this title, I’m not going to hand it over.

Triple H: Roman, don’t be difficult. If you’re not going to hand it over, fine, I’ll just vacate the championship and award it to somebody....

Roman: You wouldn’t DARE

Triple H: TRY ME

Both men get nose to nose, an intense stare emerging, both men grimacing their mouths. The only break is Bianca clapping to the fans in excitement at her new title. Reigns ushers for Heyman, then mutters the word ‘fine’ to Triple H, and he hands the title over. Triple H makes a sigh of relief, then places both former titles into a bag. He goes to the briefcase, and collects the 2 new championship designs.

Triple H: From hereon after, the Smackdown Women’s Championship is no more. In its place, is the WWE Universal Women’s Championship. The Men’s Universal Championship will retain its branding.

Triple H hands one to Reigns, and one to Belair. Both Reigns and Belair look very pleased, and triumphantly hold up the championship belts to the hard camera

Universal_Title.png

Women's_Universal_Title.png

Triple H: But....that’s no guarantee that you remain champion...tonight. Now, as a little twist, I’m going to reward both of you. You will get to choose your opponent tonight. But, in making that choice, I want that person to be a strong competitor who is worthy of the honour of a championship match. Failure to heed this directive with be met with strict discipline

The crowd applauds these announcements

Bianca grabs the mic before Heyman can get it, and Reigns just stares a hole through her

Belair: Well, Triple H, I know exactly who I want to defend MY championship against – an idol of mine, a woman who deserves an opportunity. I choose....Naomi

The crowd cheers this match, as Reigns shakes his head. He snatches the mic from Belair

Reigns: You know, Bianca, your mouth is one day going to bury you under a boulder. You’ve done nothing but piss me off since you walked out here. Now....a noble chief won’t take his action out on you...directly. You see, I’m going to teach you a lesson in humility and honour. Tonight, I defend MY Universal Championship against Montez Ford

The crowd are stunned. Heyman has a shit eating grin and Reigns grabs his title and walks off. Belair stays standing in the ring looking bewildered.

[** GLOW **]

Naomi dances her way out to the ring. Belair still seems stunned at Reigns’ announcement. Naomi claps up some fan support.

Match 1: Bianca Belair (c) vs Naomi
Women's_Universal_Title.png

Women’s Universal Championship Match

Summary:
Naomi gets off to a quick start with a quick roll up, catching Belair by surprise as she still seems in shock at the Reigns announcement. Naomi executes some flips and moonsaults, followed by a standing dropkick for 2. Belair finally gains some momentum, allowing her power and athletic skills to take over. She delivers some clotheslines, followed by a suplex. Naomi attempts her rear-end, but Belair catches her and lifts her up to deliver the KOD for the pin and win.

Winner via pinfall and STILL Women’s Universal Champion: Bianca Belair (6:10)

[** SKY’S THE LIMIT **]

The crowd erupts as the music of The Boss, The Blueprint, The Standard, Sasha Banks, echoes out throughout the arena. Sasha is dressed in a blue and black jumpsuit adorned with sequined diamonds. Sasha flashes a smile towards Bianca, then gives her a wave. Sasha then motions for the title around her waist.

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

[Video package that looks back on the TV Championship battle royal from Monday night, mainly focusing on Roode hitting Ziggler with the title to help eliminate him from the match]

Roode: Monday night was absolutely glorious. I rid myself of dead weight that was holding me down, and I reclaimed championship gold. With this Television Championship, I can appear on any show that I want. So, next Friday night, I’m going to come back here to Smackdown to defend this championship against anybody.................except Ziggler.

[Video package highlighting the Intercontinental Champion, Apollo Crews. The video shows his athletic skill, his aerial arsenal and his power moves. The video ends saying that Crews will defend his title tonight]

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are backstage with plates of pancakes. They’re singing along and talking about the unified tag team championship that is happening. They continue to crack jokes and then Woods does his routine about the champions. Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo enter the screen shot, both shaking their heads

Angel: Wow. Multiple time tag team champions who choose their first night back to play with food rather than seek the trophy

Humberto: They’re harlequins. Jokes. A shell of what they used to be. To think that these fools are in contention for those unified titles. It’s an insult to true tag teams

Woods and Kingston look up at the men who are taking shots at them

Kofi: Angel...Humberto...do not mistake our jovial nature for weakness. Yeah, Woods and I like to have fun, play with food, dance, but when that bell rings, we’re ass kickers. Look at our resume. You still don’t believe us? Then we’ll see you in the ring next week, where we’ll give you a free lesson

[** TO THE TOP **]

Apollo Crews makes his way to the ring, the Intercontinental Championship belt adorned around his waist.

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

Back from break and Crews is running the ropes ready for his match. The crowd murmurs with muffled anticipation for whomever the opponent is going to be

[** FIGHT **]

The roof nearly lifts off the Smackdown Hotel as this music can only mean one thing – it’s the Canadian Prized Fighter, Kevin Owens

Match 2: Apollo Crews (c) vs Kevin Owens
Intercontinental.png

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match

Summary:
Crews starts circling Owens, but Owens charges in and starts unloading with lefts and rights. Owens whips Crews into the ropes and knocks him down with a shoulder block for a quick 1 count. Crews gets to his feet a little taken aback. They lock up in a collar & elbow tie-up, but Owens gets the upper hand, with another whip to the ropes, but this time, Crews ducks a clothesline, and as Owens turns around, Crews drops him with a standing dropkick. Crews follows this up with a standing moonsault for a quick 2. Crews begins to continue mounting offence, until Owens makes a comeback. The two men exchange back and forth shots for a minute, then Crews kicks Owens in the knee, dropping him to one leg, then hits another standing dropkick. Crews attempts his elevated backbreaker, but Owens counters and drops a STUNNER. Owens crawls over for the cover – 1...2...3!!!!

Winner via pinfall and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Kevin Owens (12:41)

Match #3: Shayna Baszler vs Gina Mickelson

Summary:
Baszler smashes the enhancement talent in the jaw with a stiff right to start the match. She then mounts her and starts with some more punches. Baszler lifts her to her feet and applies the Kirifuda Clutch. The local wrestler taps out almost instantly.

Baszler keeps the hold locked in for a few moments, before rag-dolling her to the mat.

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

Match #4: Shinsuke Nakamura vs Jinder Mahal
King of the Ring Qualification Match

Summary:
It’s a pretty one sided affair as Nakamura executes his full arsenal. Mahal tries to mount a counter but Nakamura’s kicks are too potent. Nakamura delivers a flurry of kicks that knock Mahal to his knees, and then a picture perfect Kinshasa closes up the match

Winner via pinfall: Shinsuke Nakamura (3:27)

[The camera cuts backstage to Montez Ford and Bianca Belair]

Ford is looking very focused and quiet. He doesn’t even have his shades on. Belair is holding her arm on his shoulder

Ford: Tonight started out so right. It was meant to be fun. New championship, hanging with Dawko, chilling out and having a good time. But that all changed when the tribal chief wanted to try and make a name at my expense. Yeah Roman, I may love to goof around, but when it’s time to shine, I stand and deliver. You think that you can get your cousins to take out Dawko to intimidate me?

Ford gets up off his chair, throwing his glasses away

Ford: He wants to try and stand over MY wife? Wow, big effort there from a supposed tribal chief. Nah, nah, that don’t feel right. You see Roman, head of the table, chief of the tribe, you want to be all high and mighty? Well you just made the biggest mistake of your life. You see Montez is up....and tonight.....I want the SMOKE!

<=================COMMERCIAL BREAK=================>

[** BRING THE SWAG **]

Montez Ford makes his way to the ring. He doesn’t even pose his signature pose with the cups. Laser focus.

The camera cuts backstage to show Bianca Belair flailing her legs in the air. She’s locked in the Kirifuda Clutch. Baszler wrenches it tight and drops Belair to the ground

[** HEAD OF THE TABLE **]
