We kinda thought WWE just panicked when Auston walked out. It was the same night.

Rock leaving killed the brand split, even with both Rock and Austin it wasn’t gonna work.

It was hanging by a thread, then Austin walked out AND Hogan was gonna leave.

This is where Russo is contacted and his first decision is end the brand split. I think they had McMahon best flair in preparation for that.

Stephanie politicks and insists on the brand split, so now they introduce general managers to salvage this, even though by definition it makes zero sense for this brand split to continue if Vince owns the entire WWE.

The GM concept makes sense if Vince mentioned on air about wanting the competition (I think he did but IDK) but the first month or so of Just Vince made no sense to have a split

He kidna did when he did the Ruthless Aggression speech, but that was more so locker room competition.
