But like the PWI only recognizing the NWA world title as being a World title at certain points so I think that could apply to NXT too

I don't think WWE considers the NXT Title a world title.

I think the PWI's recognition is pretty fair from what I remember, and I don't believe NXT is on there at all

I don't think they do. If NXT was a world title, there wouldn't be much reason to leave NXT and strive for the brass ring that is the WWE or Universal titles.
