WWE Raw preview, July 29, 2019: Rollins and Ziggler set to clash on Monday’s Raw

As Seth Rollins marches towards a fateful bout with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, he’ll square up with Dolph Ziggler following the latter’s attack on Shawn Michaels on SmackDown LIVE. Rollins seeks retribution against Ziggler

The spirit of Raw Reunion carried over onto SmackDown LIVE when Shawn Michaels stopped by “Miz TV,” but the good vibes only lasted for a few minutes before Dolph Ziggler appeared and blasted the two-time Hall of Famer with a superkick right to the jaw. As reported by The Wrap, Seth Rollins — who got the benefit of DX backup against AJ Styles last week — seems to have stepped up in defense of The Heartbreak Kid, with a bout for The Showoff set on Raw. The talented Ziggler should also serve as the kind of test Rollins is setting for himself as he prepares for Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam – but is The Kingslayer overly occupying himself with arduous preparation and tangential retribution? Is he taking his eye off the ball?

“Samoan Summit” set for Reigns and Joe

Samoan pride was on the line last week when Roman Reigns battled Samoa Joe, and now that The Big Dog emerged victorious in the grudge match, it seems the two sides have come together in an effort to squash their beef. As reported by The Wrap, Reigns and Joe will meet in a “Samoan Summit” on Monday’s Raw, where the two will supposedly hash out their differences and find a way to move forward. It’s a surprising turn of events between two known fighters, though there’s something to be said for a desire to move forward. With that being said, talks are just as likely to break down – and given that they’re both from the same island, we know what happens next.

Becky Lynch set to battle Alexa Bliss

Becky Lynch and Natalya’s rivalry for the Raw Women’s Championship heated up in a hurry, as what was shaping up to be a respectful contest has turned into a series of below-the-belt insults stemming from the pair’s time in Japan years before they ever set foot in WWE. Their latest scrap came during the middle of a planned “Moment of Bliss” interview with The Man, and it seems as though Alexa Bliss has had quite enough of her show descending into chaos. As such, The Wrap confirmed that Becky and Alexa will square up in a non-title match this Monday. It should be an opportunity for The Man to get some stress off her chest, but with Nikki Cross at Bliss’ flank and Natalya lurking in the wings, things might not stay one-on-one for long. Raw was pretty fire this week ngl, 24/7 and Maria shit to open the show was hilarious, plus Drake's wife in wrestling gear

Gauntlet match fucking ruled, I was cheering for Andrade obviously but I can fuck with another Ricochet/AJ match I guess, and that triple threat match was just insane, I love when the Revival get to go all out The OC (don't call it that) winning is whatever, I kinda expected it, at least their better tag champs than Hawkins and Ryder.

Street Profits continue to steal the show with their short recaps of the show, bruh trying to imply that Dawkins was Maria's baby daddy and then saying "That means she got you for 18 years bro" I FUCKIN' DIED

I'm not a fan of Alexa's injury bc I hate fake injury angles and especially since she's been hurt so much the past year, I don't like playing them playing with my emotions, was pretty sure it was fake from the start but still, don't fuckin' do that to me WWE

Ziggler coming out to HBK's theme was probably the best thing he's done in years, ngl dude has been so much better this year than the last couple imo. This match was a lot of fun too, a lot of similar stuff to what we saw last year from these two, the Brock appearance and beatdown was fun, those F5s on the chair were fuckin' sick tho bro. Seth's death selling was gross af too

That was lowkey some good choreography with the one take shot of the OC/Usos then Joe/Roman and then Brock attacking Seth again backstage tho. Also RIP Seth, but Corey completely turning on Brock on commentary was surprisingly awesome

Joe canceling the Samoan Summit with another of his fire promos Ending brawl fuckin' ruled, I liked how everyone getting involved made sense, Alexander still feels a little out of place here and despite me being a huge fan of the guy, I really feel like McIntyre is being wasted against him. All in all, some great build up to SummerSlam throughout the show, but especially in that last segment as I'm assuming those are three matches that are going to be added, or maybe it'll be a 6 or 8 man with all of these guys. Think I'd prefer Cedric and Usos vs OC (don't call it that) and McIntyre tho just bc I really want another Joe/Reigns match if it's anything like last week.
