Also it’s been reported by wrestling inc that MVP will be around for a small amount of time but nothing long term

No because its Rey Mysterio, it would take some VERY bad booking to hurt his momentum

He's not involved in anything. How does it hurt him to lose? It's old guy MVP, he didn't do anything phenomenal in his run during his prime, what exactly could he possibly do this time around?

because MVP has JUST come back and as momentum from his return, the crowd si happy to see him back and if he is here to stay for a bit then him losing basicly tells this audience not to care, just look at humberto, he lost and lost and lost and now nobody cares about him
