The biggest thing to plaque Thunder was it was taped before Nitro so if something spontaneous happened live, it affected things already taped.

And they taped two weeks at a time in 1999, ot sure if they were still doing that in 2000, but having two shows go live while you have two taped shows sandwich in that same period, Thunder could get seriously fucked if anything on those two weeks of taped shows couldn't be used anymore.

I dont think that lasted too long in 2000 but holy shit that was trash in 99

Nash said they had to consistently book 5 show's at a time because of the taping schedule. Talk about a nightmare.

Nitro/Thunder, Nitro/Thunder, Nitro, and if something happened on week 1, you'd have to scrap things already shot for weeks 2 and 3. Yikes.

Nash' book wasn't great in 1999, but part of me wonders how much of it was having to book 5 shows every Monday morning. And then having to rebook those same shows on Thursday and then come back the following Monday and rebook what doesn't work from the last two meetings and book another 3 weeks out.

The people above Turner. The suits that didn't get or like wrestling began heavily overseeing WCW by August of 1998 and it got worse in 1999.

The suits apparently hated the WWF product and Eric claims they began t micromanage to make WCW as far away from WWF as possible. They couldn't use harsh language anymore or have wrestlers say they wanted to hurt each other. Russo backs this claim up as well.
