WWE Raw 5/9/11 live discussion thread

Michael Cole has forwarded the following message from the anonymous Raw General Manager to WWE.com. And we quote:

Tonight, live on Raw, the challenger for John Cena’s WWE Championship at WWE Over the Limit will be decided. Once the challenger is decided, Cena will be able to choose the stipulation of the match.

To find out who will vie for Cena’s title in just two weeks at WWE Over the Limit, tune in to Raw tonight at 9/8 CT on USA Network.

So with that being said we will find out who John Cena will face at Over the limit tonight on Monday night Raw. No matches confirmed on Monday night Raw, we are sure to expect a lot. With Morrison hurt who do you think R-Truth will feud with next? You think he is the contender for the WWE title. Only time will tell, but right now it seems very interesting this Monday night Raw. So guys what are your thoughts?

I always find it silly when the champion is given the right the choice of the stipulation, epsically when he is a face, that makes little sense to me.

Alberto comes out and claims he is the true challenger for John Cena, but booyaka,booyaka, 619 Rey Mysterio disagrees and he says it is not Del Rio's destiny to be a champion and that Del Rio's destiny is going to be the personal ring announcer for Ricardo. Rey challenges Del Rio for the number one contender spot tonight, Del Rio responds, and now Miz is coming out and he does his usual really routine and claims that the WWE title is his title, and he blames Riley and says he should still be champion. Del Rio keeps on interrupting, and he says Miz is in the back in the line.

Miz is proving good points in this talk, and Miz is sounding very good on the microphone, totally forgetting Rey is in this ring, and Miz wants a legit rematch, and he tells Rey and Del Rio that they can fight in taco bell parking lot, so right now 3 heels and 1 face. R-truth still has no entrance music, maybe it is part of his gimmick. R-truth sounds much better on the microphone since his heel turn, and R-Truth is talking about he hates hospital food, and he mentions the fact that Morrison is in the hospital.

So this is good playing off that R-Truth injured Morrison. Dunno if Morrison really got injured from the attack or if it was something else that occurred over the weeks, now R-Truth is insulting all the challengers in the ring... Is it just me or is R-Truth making anyone else laugh right now, and he is doing good in this promo and I can see him getting the title shot, but I think WWE is going to give it to the Miz probably to continue and end the feud with Cena... Only three deserve the title shot, so the three tonight Miz will be in for the contenders match, so is Del Rio.... and the third competitor is Rey Mysterio.

Totally fine with this as they are building up the Truth to play a big angry role in all of this, I am liking it, and now R-Truth is angry and now he is talking smack... it is obvious now Truth will feud with Mysterio at Over the Limit and I can see that happening so far good start to Raw... Miz continues the talking in the ring, but gets cut off by Ricardo, and now a attack and Rey gets the final word in as Miz looks on and Del Rio is on the floor looking on. Props to Ricardo for doing the dropkick.

Kharma has my interest right now, this diva's tag match is not ending with out a Kharma appearance. Kelly looked better in the ring still this match is a dud! Now here comes Kharma... yes who is her next victim?

So Kharma attacks Eve. She is focus on Kelly that is for sure, and it is Kane and Ryan next in the ring, really nothing interesting to say about that match. More interested what they are going to do with Ryan after the match.

Standard big man match, until Punk came and intefered, then Big Show attacked and Nexus came out to take out both men, but this week Kane and Show stand tall. Makes sense maybe they will do Punk and Ryan vs Show and Kane only time will tell.

Ziggler wins in a squash match, probably to make him look credible because people think he is a jobber. So good way to promote Ziggler horrible match.

More R-Truth good job, and now he is making fun of the parents and little kids again. Good promo for the SD from last week. Makes me want to watch SD, not going to stop watching because of one thing that is crazy, John Cena was shown, and Ryder is telling him to fist pump. Cue OMG RYDER FTW posts now.

Ok so Riley is coming out to the ring, I have homework to do right now and have to charge the computer. So Riley is challenging Cena to a match keep up the good work posting.

ZACH RYDER ON TV= WIN. I haven't watched Raw, due to the epic Heat Celtics but will tune in now. I saw some of Kane vs Ryan, then had to change. It seems like a bland Raw, sucks that Morrison is hurt. He usually energizes the crowd up at some point.

Is Evan Bourne still on Raw?

That guy hasn't been on television in forever that I can remember, and I don't remember seeing his name during the draft.

Anyways, I didnt really think too highly or poorly of tonight's episode.

Not too bad of wrestling, a little low on the entertainment values though.

Only noticed the constant pimpiong of Ortons movie.......Ed Harris? Is WWE films where actors go to die? Before they start doing the Chinese knockoff versions of blockbuster Hollywood movies? The big eared red head kid looks like Forrest Griffin. And thats about it.

Mainevent was great to watch. Didn't catch most of the show since I was watching the Canucks take out Nashville.

I read the results and it looks like most peoples predictions of miz vs cena in an i quit match were true. i am not to bothered with it as maybe we could see cena drop the title quicker than expected...its good to read that r truth is getting in with the main eventers too, playing the cocky heel who seems to never get what he wants. does anyone seeing him win the raw money in the bank and after his slow build finally getting the title?

It's possible. But as for saying the "I Quit" match means Cena loses the title faster I couldn't disagree with you any more. Cena is billed to be Superman, a machine, do you really think he's ever going to say those two words?

Would rather have Cena get screwed over by Miz like Rock did to Foley in their I Quit match. Because Cena isn't going to say I Quit, it doesn't fit his character. Heels quit, not the "never back down" "come get some" "never give up" good guys.
