True now that Rock's participation has become more difficult. But I don't see how a win vs HHH makes him seem all that great.

A win doesn't make him seem great but a loss makes him seem really weak. WWE almost can't claim him as a former MMA world champion if people like Cena and HHH can beat him on return, means that he will be 0-2 on return and that is bad. The casual fans, or lapsed fans, that returned to see Lesnar won't bother buying the next PPV because they know that he won't win.
