He won't win the title tonight but I think they are simply doing this to talk him up without giving him promo time. This builds him up and fans can see that he is a threat to Del Rio as he is a three time former champion.

I am just glad that the match is still on. I would have been annoyed if they scrapped the match after hyping it for a week. I agree that it isn't the focal point but it is still important.
