Those on the WWE creative team have been told to watch ROH tapes to learn who the wrestlers are, which is an indication many more will be getting offers. ROH was already hanging by a thread, and the loss of Danielson is huge. Other names that have been talked about by WWE are Chris Hero, and in kind of a funny one, Colt Cabana, given Cabana was just cut by the company even though he seemed to establish a character as a television announcer. Tyler Black is also a name that has come up, but he is one of the few wrestlers who has a locked in contract that he can’t get out of easily. The feeling is WWE won’t pursue him because they don’t want to risk a tampering case, but that they would have interest in him when his contract expires. Other names have also come up.

WWE's return of "What's Crackin'? w/ Scotty Goldman!"

If Hero and anyone else like Claudio get contracts, I can't see ROH surviving. Very unfortunate, but that's how the business works.

I think ROH will survive if Hero or Cabana leave. They still have the fan base that will stick with them to the end. The only thing that's been hurting ROH is that they haven't really prepared new stars to replace the guys that will leave.

Please. Hero to WWE. Him using his best athlete gimmick would be amazing.

ROH has been around for awhile, but since they haven't gotten that great of a TV deal and they've been around for like 7 years, I guess WWE will try to put it out of it's misery lol

It won't mean much if your next major guy is Aries. And with Lynn being mid 40's, the next guys to come up are Black and Kenny King. There's just not much in the forseeable future. They're going to need to go back as if they're starting the company again imo.

I think that if some luck (being put in the right place at the right time), and some training (that will inevitably come from fcw and also from spending time with the big stars), Tyler Black and Chris Hero can reach CM Punk's level.

Tyler Black freakin' sucks. He'll be a like Kizarny except not stupid if he joins the WWE. So overrated. :n:

And H4H was onto something with Hero but wait! Does anyone actually believe he'll keep that gimmick? I would predict him dressing up as a "hero" and tagging with Hurricane. :n:

I still want Jimmy Jacobs to go. He's almost as big as Dragon so one more little guy couldn't hurt. And considering how he was so horribly misused in ROH I think a WWE gimmick change would do wonders for him.

^ if you think Jacobs has been booked bad in ROH then you wouldn't want to see him in WWE, it would be much worse imo.

ROH seemed to go alright when the likes of AJ, Joe, Daniels, MCMGs and all of the others left to TNA, shouldn't be mucg different now when they lose Danielson, Nigel and maybe Hero, Cabana or Black. Theyve brought in alot of other talent lately and I am sure they could easily bring in more guys from PWG and Chikara and others like London, Kendrick etc.

Also, Hero wouldn't team with the Hurricane because his name would be changed to something gay, although his best athlete gimmick would own, we need that back, fuck that young knockout kid!

jimmy jacobs is too small for WWE. he won't get as big of a icon as rey mysterio. in that case no one will for a long time.

Black will get signed up sooner than later. He might be "overrated" but the guy is only 23, which means he has a LOT of time to improve.

Chris Hero should have been signed years ago.

I wouldn't be surprised if the WWE is subsidizing ROH, much like they were with ECW in the late 90's.

That being said, they are raiding ROH for two reasons. One, they are realizing that their own development territories are not producing stars like they used to. And secondly, believe it or not, they are snatching up wrestlers before they can be signed by TNA.

the booking sucks now, they didn't really prepare for a raid like they've done in the past. if ROH does fail, I won't blame it on the lack of talent, because even with their losses, they have the best roster of wrestlers in America. It just depends on how you use them, not who.

Colt Cabana would be an idoit to resign with WWE.

how would that be dumb? there's alot less travel if he just stays in FCW, and on top of that, he's making consistent money instead of doing hit or miss indy shows.

WWE can make anyone a star, just look at Batista.

why do you think Hero's gimmick would be changed? Punk, Cabana, Sydal, and even Low Ki haven't/didn't change much from indies to WWE. and I doubt WWE would sign him just to make someone with his talent a joke character.

Jimmy Jacobs would be a good manager, not a wrestler. He's way smaller than me from what I remember (I'm 5'8", he was maybe up to my chin, not including the Flock of Seagulls cut). The emo/cult thing would be so sick in the WWE, and having him just talk for a couple of guys like Burchill, and other "refused" would be enough.

Kevin Steen to WWE. his charisma is unique, and the WWE could use a guy that isn't generic muscle guy in FCW.

EDIT - I'm still on the Teddy Hart bandwagon. God Bless.

You are so right about two things. RoH being subsidized and in a sense about the TNA thing. RoH is probably gonna be closing the doors sooner than later and they've given the WWE inside track. WWE had the inside track on ECW dying and they gave good hands like Rhyno and Spike Duddley and Paul Heyman work right away, even before the official end in Heyman's case. Eventually they'd sign the cream of the crop for the Invasion, they did it in some ways as a favor as well as to expand the roster with some good talent. It's exactly what's going on. RoH would much rather give their top guys golden opportunities in the top promotion then selling them out to the god-awful doldrums that is TNA.

Trust me, ask Punk and Austin Airies why they didn't stick around in TNA, how the guys that can't get by on TNA salary alone are very rarely allowed to take indy bookings that they need. They treat most indy stars like shit for the most part. Low Ki hated it too, but he's always a malcontent wherever he is so he doesn't count I guess.

Good for the wrestlers.
Bad for Ring Of Honor.

WWE can suck my fucking dick.

Yah, but this isn't their fault. Blame RoH for getting rid of a proven talent like Gabe and replacing him with a boring as fuck booker in Scrap Iron Pearce or whomever is booking them all boring. Who the fuck wants to see Jerry Lynn work a "The Wrestler" type storyline? I can talk about the failures of this new booking style, but really everyone know's RoH has taken a step backwards the past year and so. Now the shit has hit the proverbial fan and they've gotta start unloading payroll to ease the financial skids. It's not a raid. It's a subsidizing.
