So i'm gonna assume a restructuring takes place and it basically becomes NXT Mexico
I am all about being fuck you Konnan but that's gross. WWE being a monopoly and people wonder why I stand by they will buy out TNA in the end. Also AAA has del rio as champion and Konnan who publicly dismissed Stephanie's accusations towards one of his wrestlers.

Wasn't AAA a company that was treading on thin ice financially anyway? There was a tweet from the Luchablog guy yesterday that said Dorian Roldan was on television talking about selling the company as far back as 8 months ago. If WWE wanted the company that badly to "damage Mexican wrestling" like it's being implied in here, they would have done it already. Besides, we dont know whats going to happen until it actually does, for all we know AAA could go on as it is now, just with WWE money.

Besides, it could be worse...it could be buying Ring of Honor and then letting it sit off to the side to do nothing *runs away*

I mean I get why ppl are now upset because this kills the chance of seeing dudes like Vikingo in AEW and stuff like that. My point tho is this, we dont know how this came about, all we see is "WWE buys AAA" and instantly think the worst. For all anyone knows, AAA could have went to WWE themselves and was like "hey, buy us out". Also, this isnt "whataboutism" but im sure someone will get upset anyway.....would you guys be that upset if Tony Khan got there first? What if he bought out CMLL?

Oh it gets better. The guy who was in jail for beating up Vaquer and everyone was mad at Rush for supporting? Guess who now works for WWE!

Somehow this is Tony Khan's fault...

I don't know of this promotion nor does it excite me. Yay Luchadores. We'll get another run of the Cruiserweight title before it blows up again

I can't go on with the entire wrestling world being positioned as some billionaire power struggle. It's like I'm watching something I love being stomped to death slowly
:lmao How do I make this about me? Honestly you'll get over it and be consuming within a week. Just like the last 30 times you've been offended by them.

Ah yes why do people distrust the company who became big by monopolising wrestling and buy outing their competition? It's almost as if WWE have history for this shit...

Also ROH was basically shutting down, unless I missed something whilst AAA were not in great shape they were not about to shut down. Also people are upset because it is WWE monopolising more of wrestling. Do you actually remember shit things used to be when WWE had no competition?

Also no I don't want Tony to buy out CMLL, that would be awful for wrestling too. Would have preferred someone new buy ROH but the options were it stay open under Tony or WWE buy it and gut it's library. I also wouldn't want AAA to be bought by AEW because one that means fucking Matt Riddle and fucking Del Rio are part of AEW for one, two once again more monopolisation is bad.

Having a nuanced topic like this does appear to be impossible for some people, but going "But what if Tony Khan" is a really bad argument. We're not talking about Tony Khan people, we're talking about WWE, and WWE alone; not ROH, which is still active and gets plenty of television time even on AEW.

WWE buying into new territories is bad for business because it means less competition and a more centralized and organized power structure within wrestling. Having a company which already has a stranglehold on American and Canadian wrestling dip its toes into Mexico is bad for wrestling, no matter who it is.

Wrestling is better when there are more companies and healthy competition. Wrestling in 2005 was fucking horrendous, WWE doing whatever they wanted, TNA barely getting TV on FSN, and the indies barely scraping by.

as someone who was arguably one of the biggest ROH fans at the time of its death (props to Chris too). ROH was dead. It was not looking likely to come back. AEW didn't kill it. It bought it when it was about to be buried. It didn't stop its heart from beating. TK killed ROH....is like saying, a freezer boils water.
