Jim Ross wrote the following on his website blog at www.JRsBarBQ.com:

"Been asked by WWE to be a part of the upcoming Paul Heyman DVD of which I’m anxious to participate. Once details are worked out we will schedule a time for me to head to WWE HQ and tell a few…dozen Heyman stories. I’m very honored to have been requested to be a part of this production as it was me who gave Paul his first broadcast gig and taught him the ropes as best that I could . Paul was so high strung and outspoken that many within WCW did not want to work with him but I saw talent in the abrasive albeit highly intelligent Jewish kid from Scarsdale, N.Y."

In asking around, I am told that WWE is already filming interviews and footage for the DVD, which will include a documentary and be released later this year. They were filming material in Philadelphia last week I am told.

Take my money, wonder if the extra will be matches that Heyman loves or just countless hours of promos

Seems a bit odd he's the first manager/owner they do this for. Not saying I won't go out and buy it but just curious why they decided to change trend.

Pretty sure Bobby Heenan has a DVD too.

Yeah Bobby Heenan had one already, was good then got sad at the end.

I can't wait for this, I want to know his thoughts on Bill Watts, the treatment of the Dangerous Alliance and ofcourse ECW and the WWECW.

Extras should be his match against Jim Cornette and Lawler telling us about why he broke his jaw.

Yeah this should be something special. So many great stories. Wonder if they will into his frosty relationship with JR? Something which made their partnership even more entertaining.

Not sure they had a "frosty" relationship as JR just said he was a mentor in WCW and the guy signing off on the checks ECW wrestlers were cashing and being riding partners during that 01 run.

If you listen to their communities both in WCW and WWE it is quite clear for everyone to hear. In the same way as Ventura used to get under Vince's skin for real, Heyman did it to Ross, and has admitted as much. I'm sure there is much respect between the two.

Mixing kayfabe and reality.

Both were riding partners, what else is to debate?

He's a massive bullshitter, expecting him to sob story about TNN not giving him a budget to work with and pinning ECW's collapse on them again.

Herd his b.s 100x now. Great commentator in WWE, mad overrated promo guy IMO. Reminds me of Steve Carell shouting "loud noises" in Anchorman, not a lot of substance there tbh.

Invasion never happened.....WWE went dark after the almighty Triple H went down with a quad tear and Vince made a tournament in December that year and Jericho one an Undisputed title.

About JR and Heyman, its human nature, you can like a guy, but if you're stuck on the road and in confined space too long around someone, the little shit becomes glaring and pisses you off
