WWE NXT UK: Dec. 9, 2021: Pretty Deadly and Moustache Mountain primed for championship bout
Full NXT UK preview for Dec. 9, 2021, featuring Moustache Mountain challenging Pretty Deadly for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship, Emilia McKenzie battling Blair Davenport in a heated singles bout, and much more.
Moustache Mountain to challenge Pretty Deadly for NXT UK Tag Team Title
An amazing edition of NXT UK is set to feature Pretty Deadly defending the NXT UK Tag Team Title against Moustache Mountain, a slugfest between Emilia McKenzie and Blair Davenport, and much more.
While they’re widely respected by their peers and regarded as two of the “Founding Fathers of NXT UK,” Tyler Bate and Trent Seven have experienced some bumpy waters in recent months.
Thanks in large part to a distraction by Pretty Deadly, Bate lost his NXT UK Heritage Cup to Noam Dar when Seven inadvertently flung a towel into the ring.
Bate and Seven also came up short in their most recent bid to dethrone Stoker and Howley in August, but they’ve bounced back with a pair of impressive tandem wins, including a Fatal 4-Way Match that earned them a second opportunity to challenge the champs.
Despite Pretty Deadly often resorting to devious tactics, no one can argue with the results. In fact, since defeating Mark Coffey and Wolfgang to capture the gold in February, Stoker and Howley ae 5-0 when their championship has been on the line, setting the stage for a must-see title clash.
After a tumultuous beginning to her NXT UK tenure that included several savage sneak attacks on her fellow Superstars and even a shocking beatdown of Assistant to the General Manager Sid Scala, Davenport has made enemies with just about everyone on the brand.
With her sights set on Meiko Satomura and her NXT UK Women’s Tile, the brash newcomer is set to square off with The Best in the World’s protégé, McKenzie, who has won three of her last four matches against the likes of Stevie Turner, Amale and Isla Dawn. McKenzie has seemingly put all the pieces together since accepting tutelage from Satomura, though Davenport arguably represents her most dangerous opponent to date.
Additionally, after losing an NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship Match against Noam Dar in controversial fashion, Sam Gradwell is primed for a slugfest with Sha Samuels. Plus, the arrogant Jordan Devlin is set to address the NXT UK Universe.
Don’t miss a thrilling edition of NXT UK, streaming Thursday at 3 ET/8 GMT exclusively on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network elsewhere!
