WWE NXT & Superstars Thread

Hopefully the writers take note of what Kidd and McGillicutty are doing on NXT and actually start trying to come up with ideas to get them on the main roster. Kidd/Gabriel would have been there way to get Kidd on RAW/Smackdown more regularly but then need to do something with McGillicutty. If he has a defined gimmick next time he is on the main roster it will do him a world of good.

 

[Andrew]

Dark Match:
* Dean Ambrose defeated Alex Riley with a knee to the face. Before the match, Ambrose cut a heel promo that got a lot of boos from the audience.
WWE Superstars (Airing on WWE.com this Thursday):
* Eve defeated Kelly Kelly. The match was given a decent amount of time. There were more "YES!" chants throughout the match. Kelly was able to hit a stinkface, but Eve got the win after using the ropes for leverage.
* A promo for the Rock's DVD aired.
* R-Truth defeated Jack Swagger via pinfall.

Dean Ambrose has to be close to a promotion if they brought him over to England for a dark match.

Not sure why they are showing a promo for The Rock DVD which came out a month ago rather than a promo for the Edge DVD which came out last week.

Mainevent should be good if they are given some time.

WWE NXT Taping

1. Percy Watson beat Johnny Curtis. The crowd was very quiet for the opener. There was no reaction for either wrestler even though NXT airs on TV in the UK. The biggest cheer so far was when William Regal came out for commentary. Watson won a longer match with a reverse F5 type of move.

Regal asked Curtis to sit next to him on commentary during the Divas match.

2. Maxine defeated Kaitlyn. Maxine won via submission.

Regal made Maxine the official manager of Johnny Curtis. He said they would both be fired if that didn't happen.

Titus O'Neil and Darren Young were shown backstage. They received a letter saying they'd both been drafted to Smackdown. Matt Striker was shown with a smiling Curt Hawkins. We see Matt Striker smiling and sporting a new walking cane.

* Backstage promo with Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins. They come to the ring and say they didn't kidnap Matt Striker. Striker comes out and goes to hit them with his cane but Regal interrupts. Regal announces Reks vs. Hawkins with Striker as referee. The loser will get fired.

* Tyler Reks beat Curt Hawkins with a roll-up. Striker hits Hawkins with the cane. Regal also fires Reks. Reks goes nuts as NXT goes off the air.

Taken from different sources so parts could be wrong.

Sounds TERRIBLE. Hawkins & Reks "fired" while Young & Titus moved to SmackDown

So two of the worst workers get called up while the two talented ones get kayfabe fired. Who books this crap.

See you guys are looking at it all backwards. Wwe called up two charismatic individuals who have chemistry and get more of a reaction than Reks and Hawkins have in all the time they have been a team on Superstars and NXT. They made the right call for the fans because more guys give a damn about the team that runs NXT over them

Young and Titus have charisma? When did this magically happen?

Yeah I'm pretty sure intelligent people like PHX and I see it the right way. Titus cut the worst promo ever when he turned heel. Even Michael Cole was ripping on him on how Titus can't even cut a proper promo. Darren Young offers nothing to the table and is as stale as ever. Hawkins and Reks got the rebel and bad guy thing down pretty good. This is a pretty stupid booking decision hopefully they realize in a few weeks that they offer little to nothing to the table.

Hawkins and Reks are feuding with the main host of the show in William Regal. Young and O'Neill have been feuding with Uso's and how Darren can't hook up with Tamina but O'Neill has. You tell me what tag team has been doing more.

Reks & Hawkins should def be on SD more than Titus & Young.

Wow they feuded with Regal and been in two main events including this since being on nxt. Wow it isn't like Titus and D Young have not main evented NXT double digit times this season, oh wait they did. It isn't like Titus and Young haven't gotten reaction as a team and singles guys, oh wait they do get better ones every week than Reks and Hawkins. It isn't like Reks and every team created on NXT hasn't tried to holler at Tamina, oh wait they all have as a plot device to give the Usos, the most put over team on the show in the ring and the booth opponents. Some of you have just watched sporadic episodes to form an opinion over every week andit is obvious if you think Reks and Hawkins have done more on NXT than Young or Titus or the fans react more to them, justifying them being the ones getting called up

I don't have to watch a lot to know that you either have charisma or you don't have it and those two don't have any.

Hawkins and Reks do?

Titus and Yung get reactions when they cut promos. They get reactions when they interact with the fans. Isn't that the definition of charisma? I didn't say they were the second coming of Miz, but getting fans into your matches has to say sowmthing for them

They get put in a random main event with Alex Riley or Percy Watson big deal. William Regal is the main guy on the show that runs the matches. The fact that those Hawkins and Reks go back and forth with him goes to show you that they have a nice angle going. If you think Darren Young has any charisma, you are even more out of your mind than I already think you are. Titus O'Neill isn't entertaining what so over and is a mess in the ring.

Then mostly the fans in attendance for the past few months are all out their mind as they are more over than Reks and Hawkins. And you keep bringing up Regal like he has been the main guy in NXT for its run. He's had a month going on two, Striker was the guy and Young/Titus were the centerpieces aside from Maxine. Young was the guy who ran NXT and they built up Titus to finally beat his ass after weeks of trying, turn on the fans, and them to unite. You can't even have pretended to watch if all you can say is but they are feuding with Regal and ignoring the months on end over this small sample size (where they were janitors and didn't even work one week) that Titus and Young were the central pieces and Hawkins/Reks were curtain jerker acts on the Young/Titus/Curtis/Bateman/Maxine/Kaitlyn show
