I really don't know what Ricky does on NXT. I said last night and have for months that he could go straight to the main roster, but NXT needs the male star power rn and using Ethan Page as a barometer (he came in and won the title quick af), Ricky should probs be NXT champ today. It's gonna be interesting what they do

Maybe he should just feud with Trick for Trick's last feud in NXT. Thats the two biggest personalities

If they didn't pull the trigger on Oba when they did, they could have easily done the Ethan Page route with Ricky but obviously that's not possible now and I wouldn't even put Ricky over Oba in a few months time if i'm being honest.

It would be very similar to the Ethan/Trick feud if they did and Oba won it back in a few months too. Bookers can't help but repeat formulas when they work tho so I wouldn't be too surprised if that's what we got

I'm not sure I want that...I think he'd school Trick in promos worse than Page did

as far as him going over Oba I'd do it because I'm not sure Oba's got long left in NXT guys like him tend to get expedited call ups

Not putting a near 40 year old over to protect a giant monster that's young n has decades to keep getting over makes me glad hbk is booking. Oba can have multiple reigns. He doesn't need a giant long reign to be successful long term. Ricky absolutely cannot afford to lose for a while. It's now or never

Maybe, I just don't think i'm down with the idea of Oba having a short reign and then regain it again a little bit later. I think he needs a good strong reign like his NA one (maybe not as long) to cement himself as THE guy before passing it on to someone who can carry the brand from there out (Je'Von for me)
