Great, YET another "General Manager" for RAW.

Am I the only one that thinks we DON'T need an "authority figure" to make matches and be in camera segments and whatnot? They got along fine in the 1980's and up to the mid 1990's fine without one.

WWE Ignores Savage Request, Sgt. Slaughter's WWE Role, RAW/SmackDown Tapings

There are currently around 8,000 tickets sold for the combined RAW and SmackDown tapings on March 22nd in San Jose, California. WWE is expecting a sell out of around 11,000.
I live in San Jose and been to the Shark Tank many times and 11,000 wouldn't be a sell-out. For Sharks games a sell out would be 17,000+( dont know the exact number at the moment), and 18,000+ can be seated for basketball games.

Assuming it's true, it's a shame that the WWE never returned Savage's request.

Gates, why are you getting so flustered about a GM role? The report says that Sgt. Slaughter will serve as a WWE Ambassador, which is a backstage role given to people like Stone Cold and Mae Young. It's solely a backstage position.

This has to go back to that rumor of Savage sleeping with a younger Stephanie Mc Mahon. Dont know if that's true but Obviously Savage pissed of Vince to the point that he doesnt want anything to do with him, except of course make money off of his name on DVD's. Definitely unfortunate that the wwe couldn't at least send a message of condolence to be read at Angelo's funeral.

....Ran a rogue territory back in the day too, but yeah, had zero to do with Vince or Vince Snr. afaik.

I feel for Mach's loss, but the E doesn't owe anything to Angelo Poffo, the biggest contribution he made to the industry was fathering Randy.

He still worked for them.....it's like if a co-worker's dad dies and you give a card or flowers or money.....they may not be on the best terms but Randy was still a long time employee and he still showed up backstage and put on a show. A rumour is a rumour, no one but Stephanie and Randy will ever know if it's true or not, but it's kinda stupid to just go ahead and believe whatever you hear. If it's true, sure, it's nasty, but if it isn't, wow, Vince wasted a lot of energy hating.
