PWTorch said:
WWE's new head writer, Adam Rudman, is already out of the company. The news was originally reported by SEScoops.com and independently confirmed by PWTorch today.

Rudman lasted six weeks in the company after replacing Eric Pankowski, who left the company prior to WrestleMania and recently landed at CBS.

PWTorch has learned that Rudman's removal occurred last Friday. According to sources, when Redman was first hired six weeks ago, once people met him, they did not think he would last in WWE.

The consensus was that Rudman was a bad fit in WWE because he did not have knowledge about pro wrestling.

:lmao

I thought that applied to most writers in the WWE?

Lied when applying then. They do state that you should know about the product on the forms. I doubt he had any influence on any of the current storylines anyway. How bout we give the job to a wrestler and hire him a lackey that can jot down his ideas?

You'd think they'd check to see whether or not he does know anything about Wrestling in the first place before actually hiring him. Especially since it's for the position of "Head Writer". I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to gauge that or tell whether he's lying (so long they didn't just ask "do you know anything wrestling" or assume it due to the nature of job).

My thoughts excatly surely they could test the guy in someway. They only have themselves to blame.

WWE hires writers who know wrestling, they just hate it when they act like fanboy marks. It only breeds content in the creative meetings because it looks like they have a vested interest in a performer and thus gaining heat on both of them. This guy? Fuck em. No one will ever comprehend the hornets nest that is WWE creative.

You would think that both sides would do a bit of background research before the hiring or at least have him there for a probation period to see how well he gels with the work.

With regards to hiring writers surely the best option would be to use guys that have intimate knowledge of the wrestling business to come up with the basic ideas and then have these sitcom writers flesh out the ideas into proper scripts. Would be a much better way to use the sitcom writers and they can help with the pacing of the show and storylines as well.

Why would you hire a head writer out of the company anyways. Wouldn't it be better to promote from the group of writers who are successful in the company. And why have a Head writer thats' not a wrestling fan. I understand having a varied of writers but not the head writer

Well erm... I guess I'll ask the obvious question...

If he was a "bad fit" and "didn't know much about wrestling", then why the fuck was he hired in the first place? Is there seriously no one else in WWE that knows how to write a wrestling angle? Fuck man, I'm about to fill out an application right now.

Especially (as others have pointed out) as the HEAD fucking writer. That's not a position you should be hired into at all, especially with no qualifications.
