Road Warrior Animal, brother of John Laurinaitis, recently said in an interview that he would love to do an angle that let him be involved for a power struggle with his brother.

Here are some highlights from the interview with Wrestling 101:

What are you making of your brother John’s current role in the WWE as GM of Raw and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations?

When you see John on TV that is him being his natural self, which is making that whole story-line as popular as it is, you may not agree with his methodology, but he is doing what he thinks is right, and he is going to do it despite of what anyone else thinks, but he’s in a no win situation. As well as being on television he also has a company to run, he is an employee too and he has a hundred employees under him. I wouldn’t want to have his job for anything in the world.

Could we see you return in one form or another to television with either WWE or TNA?

Earlier this year I was asked if I wanted to compete in this years Royal Rumble but I didn’t do it because they just didn’t give me enough notice, they called me like two days before and asked if I wanted to do the Royal Rumble and I said they could have at least given me a months notice.

I’m in good enough shape to do it and if wanted to wrestle I could but since Hawk passed away every year that goes by it gets harder and harder for me to even want to do it. I still do personal appearances and charity events around the country for my fans.

In the future I would love to do anything the WWE wanted me to do, they’re doing this big deal with the SmackDown GM against the Raw GM and what a great angle it would be to have me come in as the SmackDown GM and go against my brother as the Raw GM and have a battle between the two companies.

Road Warrior Animal goes on to compare Vince McMahon to Eric Bischoff as a boss, being asked to compete in Royal Rumble and more. Click here to read the full interview.

I would love to see Animal back on TV and with an active role on TV such as being the SmackDown GM, it'd work greatly too if he was to have a storyline with his own brother and at least he has a good wrestling background to back him up. Would get over easily with the crowd, better than boring Teddy Long and hopefully WWE sees that Animal said this and they do something with it sometime this year.

I like that idea a lot actually. That has a lot of potential for great things. Especially if he uses the LOD theme music, I would go absolutely nuts for that.

Yep, this gets a big sign of approval from me.

I love Animal and he was probably my favourite wrestler growing up as a kid, but I can't remember what he's like on the mic and whether or not he's the personality to play such a role. They could always use him in the lesser role of being a surprise member of Team T'Lo I guess.

Yeah I seriously doubt he would use the same personality he did with the Road Warriors... shouting at the top of his lungs every time he opens his mouth.

When I saw Hall Of Famer, I dreamed of Iron Sheik. Darn that would have been awesome. Animal is whatever but hey it would be an improvement over Teddy Long.

As much as I would love to hear Iron Sheik call Johnny Ace a no-good motherfucker, fuck him in the ass and make him humble, not quite sure any of that would fly with the PG-era censors. :p

Either works for me. "WHHHHHAAAAT A RUUUUUUSH" just needs to be on Raw. Period. :gun:

I guess it could work to confuse a lot of casual fans so I'll give that part a plus.

Also, I don't think I'd mind Animal taking over SD! for a couple months. I just see him easily getting out of hand being removed after that.

This would be a good idea and something interesting to see if only there was not such a big time gap in terms of the last time we see Animal. He is so out of sight that he has unfortunately wandered into the land of obscurity and irrelevance, and not by our (IWC fans) own will. Can't be gone for so long and expect to be a half bit interesting if you've never main evented a Wrestlemania or remain loyal to a company for longer than two years in a row.

I doubt many people have forgot about the Road Warriors considering they are the single greatest tag team that has ever walked the earth. The only team worthy of even being compared to them are the Dudley Boyz.

Unless he debuted in Chicago or Minnesota, he probably wouldn't get a very big pop initially, but once the younger fans realize he's "that guy with the spiked shoulder pads" they've seen pictures of, that will change quickly.

Might also want to note the Road Warriors are undefeated at the 3 Wrestlemanias they wrestled at.

Road Warriors carry as much weight as Demolition or Marty Jannety these days. A certain aspect of the audience would know who he is, but not the vast majority. Would go over about as much as Foley redoing the "This Is Your Life" segment.

I think it'd probably fail.

I'll go ahead and vote no.

His WCW run was especially embarrasing.
