If you can't break into the main event in NXT, then he shouldn't ever be a main eventer on the main roster.

That's a huge problem with NXT as good as a farm system it's been, apart from the very start with Bo and Big E every champion was an independant name / star.

But it helped Corbin cause he's good now.

NXT only has two, maybe three champions a year. That would leave very few people able to be called up.

Did you not read your own post I quoted or remember your entire argument from this thread. You claimed he was called up too early because he didn't have a run with the NXT Championship. A point I said wouldn't have happened because he wasn't going to squeeze between Joe and Nakumara and you said if you can't main event in NXT, you shouldn't in the main roster. What are you forgetting here?

Regardless, not everyone is going to get a run with the NXT Championship and you can still prove you're ready for WWE.

You'd most definitely said if you can't main event in NXT, you shouldn't in WWE. That's a definite quote. Sidestepping that, what else could he have done down in NXT, besides be champion, that would have strengthened what he's doing now?

Maybe Corbin was or wasn't called up too early. My main point is the average person spends some good years in NXT and not everyone is rushed up. I think this year had more calls than usual because for the draft.

Yeah I did say if you can't main event in NXT then you shouldn't main event on the main roster, on the premise that you clearly suggested he wouldn't be able to oust a bunch of indy guys on a network exclusive show that's all about experimenting. If he can't do that then in theory he's never going to be able to oust the actual stars of the business.
