I don't remember him making it matter at all honestly. I remember Dolph Ziggler arguably making it matter that one time when Miz was champion.

I mean sure, Miz with the title was more significant than when guys like Wade Barrett, Curtis Axel and Ezekiel Jackson had it.

But, I put Miz on the same tier as champs like Rollins, Ambrose, Ziggler, Jeff and Kofi. Upper midcard workhorses who feel like they give the title credibility, rather than guys who are given the title so that the title can give them credibility.

The GOAT IC champs in my opinion include Gunther, Jericho, Razor, HBK, Mach, Perfect and I guess Honky if I must include him :lol
Miz doesn't need the title to get over. he gets the title over. That's why he's GOAT tier. That's how you become a great champion. A lot of the other guys did it a couple times then they move on to the Worlds title. Miz just did it every time for a decade. And the fact that the only times he's ever had a 1 on 1 for the WWE Championship is when he cashed in the Money In The Bank is astounding to me. Should have been a main event guy more often. But instead he's GOAT tier IC because of it.

What did Jericho ever do with that belt?

His first reign is memorable because he wrestled Chyna.

He last reign is memorable because he and Rey had great matches.

The other 7 are forgettable

I'm willing to concede that he's in that second tier, along with Miz, because I'd say "forgettable" applies to most of their combined reigns, but when you picture the IC Title, it's easy to envision it being carried by either man.

Also @Lance Storm to be clear, I also said Miz was a guy that gave the belt credibility, not vice versa.

Yeah in one month Gunther is gonna have the longest combined reign of all time with just one reign. That’s fucking crazy but well deserved honestly.

I would say that Miz's best run as IC Champion was during the reintroduction of the brand split, when he was feuding with Ziggler and Ambrose over the belt on both Smackdown and Raw. His first 4 title runs even total 100 days plus combined, so the back end is when he really made the belt matter.

I still remember when WWE did that whole storyline where Dolph Ziggler said he’d retire if he didn’t win the belt from Miz so he won it then lost it back to him a month later. They really did that man dirty with every single thing they did :lol

As if I couldn’t be anymore of a fan, Karrion proved himself a student of the devil that came before him.

That entire promo gave me chills. The part where Sullivan was a preacher advising Karrion not to follow in his footsteps, but also the WWE part introducing the Final Testament. So much potential.
