Yeah thought about that too, for example I would wanna be Dortmund but if another player does as well how do we decide? Plus if we all have to be a similar star team and your team is taken is there enough other teams for you to have one you ashley want. There's a few problems we'd have to iron out first but I think while we're doing that we could just go in blind for like 1 season or something just to see how it goes, and when we get it working properly this will be great and hopefully if there is some people on the board who have FIFA but don't play would make them want to join in. Or it could get seabs to finally buy FIFA and stop pussing about.

What if we take the standings from the first tourney and have a team draft in reverse order of how well you did? ie Crayo and I get last choice of team while players who did poorly in the group stage go first?

Then for season 2 we can choose new teams

That could work yeah, then from there on we work it like the draft? So teams at the top get last pick every season? That could be really good to even out the league and hopefully make it so the same people aren't winning every time.

Maybe set it up like the NBA Lottery system. IMO this helps to prevent teams just throwing games at the end to get the #1 pick. Instead of just going in reverse order, you give the worst teams a higher % chance of getting top picks but hold a drawing for it.

So if you finish 12th (if we have 12 teams) You get a 20% chance of the #1 pick. 11th place gets a 12% chance so on and so forth. I'm just grabbing those numbers out of thin air btw.

Just one idea to try and combat potential match throwing to try and get Real or something

Best idea yet, take the bottom 4 teams from the season and set up a mini-tourney to play for the #1 overall pick

Yeah that's a lot better, so in the draw we have it so whoever finishes last gets their name put in maybe 4 times or something 1st only gets it put in once? Obviously we'd have to figure out these numbers properly but this is the best option imo.

I take back what I said this is the best option yet, it would prevent match fixing to a degree as then if you throw games you'd still have to play again and you might not win making it worthless.

Love this league idea. But some people play a LOT more FIFA than others. If recent weeks have been anything to go by, then Xanth, myself, Jonathan, and Ryan would have played a lot more than anyone else. Unless we had scheduled league games and such each week, or something like that. Skim-read the thread so this issue could have been ironed out already.

I like the idea of #1 picks and stuff to solve the "who gets what team" issue, but it creates a few issues as well. For example, Real Madrid are the best team by a bit of a mile (with Spain), and losing to them if you're Arsenal for example creates a "Well you beat me, but you had to beat me with that team while I'm Arsenal" type thing. No room for excuses in a league imo.

Basically, this. You could still throw games if you are a clown, but you still have to earn the #1 pick.

I was thinking one game every 3 days, but if we all finished early we could "advance' to the next game on the schedule.

Souinds good. With the way we play Fifa, we would be advancing a lot though. Would need to be a limit, because it would end up like "Crayo: Played 13" and "Dolph's: Played 3".
I'm saying you can't play ahead of the league pace. Once I make the schedule it is week 1. You can only play your week 1 opponent until the league table/statistics are updated and I say we are onto week 2

One game every 3 days and if you don't play said game in that 3 days it's an automatic loss?

3 days might be too long but then we have the problem of some people having work/school and ashley don't have the time to do a game every day or two.
