I can see the Bryan v Kane feud continuing until Payback. The feud has lots still to offer in terms of bringing up their past tag-team partnership and Dr Shelby, etc. At Payback we could have another stipulation that adds greater interest to the feud, like if Kane loses, he can never challenge for the title again. They could have a double count-out tonight like Cena/Ryback last year and then Evolution/Shield main-event after it. It's hard to see who could move into the title picture if Kane loses cleanly because Batista is leaving and they aren't turning Sheamus until after the European tour in a few weeks.

Isn't the title match an "Extreme Rules Match" (seems like they mentioned that on Raw)?

I have a feeling that Kane/Bryan only lasts one PPV match and then Kane rides off into the sunset.

Yes, it is. But who challenges Bryan after Kane? That's why I could see them extending the feud 1 more PPV.

Orton still has his rematch clause.

wk

Kayfabe it expires after the next PPV or some shit

They won't do Orton v Bryan again as well lol. Plus, Orton has no momentum whatsoever. He is a less credible challenger than Kane right now.

I don't think we should get Wyatt/Bryan yet. If they wanted to set up Wyatt/Bryan for Summerslam, I think that would be awesome, but it leaves Bryan and Wyatt with no opponents for Payback and MITB. I would have Orton cashing in his rematch clause at Payback and a Wyatt feud with Sheamus wouldn't be bad. Remember, Payback is a B-PPV and I think they'll play up one of two things for the Chicago crowds: either a Punk return or a Punk burial. But, you need to set up the Bryan/Wyatt feud needs to be huge (considering how over both guys are) and it should have a "big fight feel" that will be difficult to accomplish at Payback. Plus, it will either be the coronation of Bray Wyatt (I can see some sort of "Reign of Terror" angle coming out of that) or Bryan overcoming the huge odds of having to deal with Rowan and Harper and I think that needs to be saved for Summerslam.

Corporate Punk would be an amazing character if he's going to come back. I actually think that would be just as legitimate a Summerslam opponent for Bryan, but, again, having him return at Payback just to face Bryan as a heel and lose with no more than a little build at a B-PPV sounds like a huge waste of an opportunity.

Summerslam would work for Bryan/Wyatt, but only if Wyatt was winning the championship (since I doubt Bryan will make it past Summerslam as champion for some reason.) If Batista isn't winning the title and if Lesnar isn't winning it this year or early next year either, then Wyatt could reign as the heel champion for a few months before dropping it to, say, Cena (could be a multi-man match like a triple threat or a four-way if they don't want Cena to pick up a one-on-one up victory over Bray later in the year), who could then go on to lose it to Reigns at Wrestlemania next year. Wyatt winning the championship at the same event one year after he debuted would bring everything full circle for him, similar to Undertaker winning his first world title at the same event (Survivor Series) exactly a year after his debut. Fitting since both guys are dark and enigmatic personalities.

As for Payback/Money In The Bank/Battleground (we have three more PPVs before Summerslam after tonight), Wyatt and Cena will probably face off for a third time at Payback next month. I get the feeling their rivalry isn't over after tonight and I wouldn't mind a third encounter since a rubber match would help do away with the 50/50 booking (which I always hate) by allowing Wyatt the opportunity to go over Cena two out of three times. Bray could then go over Sheamus (or whoever) and/or win a #1 Contender's Match (if not the MITB briefcase, although that's probably Cesaro's to win... assuming they don't have two of them this year) at either Money In The Bank or Battleground and then challenge Bryan at Summerslam. As for Bryan, Brad might be right that Kane and Bryan could square off in a rematch next month. It does seem like there's more to explore there, both with their history as partners/friends and Kane's monstrosity (i.e trying to burn Bryan, attack or kidnap Brie, etc.)

They ignore that rule all the time lol. Rey comes to mind back in 2011 when the belt changed hands 2-3 times before he got his rematch for it.

I hope Triple H gets another crack at Bryan and they blow off Orton's rematch on Raw. Then you don't have to shoehorn Bryan against Authority opponents and let him face other people. There's plenty of good heels on the roster who can legitimately benefit from a good match against Bryan. Imagine Cesaro getting a shot at Night of Champions

Just don't see how the authority vs Bryan angle can continue. Kane was the last hope. It has to end.
