In October 2007, WWE ratings hit the lowest ever. And it kept going down. Vince McMahon then made the biggest decision of his life. He decided to stop! He appeared in the Raw ring the night after No Mercy, and there he told everyone that as of Monday, March 31, 2008, WWE would no longer have an owner. At least not an owner named McMahon. He officially planted the WWE co-operation as available on the market. Then on the night of the co-branded Pay-Per View Survivor Series, Vince McMahon once again appeared in the ring. And again with world wide shocking news. The name of the new owner of WWE, and that appeared to be an unknown multi-billionaire named Mark Evans. Mr. McMahon also announced that Mark Evans would appear the next night on Raw in person, to speak of his plans with the WWE in the future. And he did. The young billionaire came to the ring where he then presented his wife Tami Evans, his brother Bill Evans, and his 14-year old son Zack Evans. But before that, the soon to be owner of World Wrestling Entertainment topped Vince McMahon as far as who could shock the wrestling world the most. He told live on television that as soon as WrestleMania 23 was over, every single contract signed by Vincent Kennedy McMahon would be worthless. And then he would spend the next month signing superstars, divas and staff members. And also, no more ECW. And then on Sunday, April 20, he will kick of the Evans' era with Backlash. And then before leaving, he promised that it would be a night no one would ever forget.....
A memorable WrestleMania, and a memorable last night of the era of the McMahon's, has now taken place. Now all the superstars can do is wait and hope to get contacted by Mr. Mike Evans in the following month. Mr. Evans has already stated that he really hopes to get the possibility to present both new and old faces in the new era of World Wrestling Entertainment.
