More likely than not, you are correct.
WWE is grabbing insignificant buzz at every turn (it's quite tragic actually).
Any buzz is good buzz. Stunts such as this make them look desperate and B-Level.
I cannot say I 'blame' them, only that it is tragic considering the once 'larger than life' company they were in the 80's
