Didn't they cuck them with a Santino trademarks too? Such a great, totally fair partnership that is totally not one sided at all. But TNA sold a lot of tickets featuring a singular low card NXT star so we should thank WWE for their great benevolence on bringing eyes to TNA (even thought their ratings were higher with a certain other promotion that apparently is the devil)

I'm guessing the timeline between them starting the angle and this induction was too short since I imagine they were going to play on him being in a crisis and doubting whether he still has it anymore etc.

To be fair it actually hinders the AJ storyline.

If AJ is down on his luck why would you do a storyline where he's literally inducted into a Hall of Fame? That's gonna be the antithesis of that.

I would have been perfectly fine with that dichotomy given that it's AJ Styles. and there can't be a TNA Hall of Fame without him. But it may not fit what they have going on. Also do we know if AJ even wanted it? Maybe he said nah not right now.

Shouldn't surprise anyone really. This is a content creator partnership á la "You give us actual things, while we give you 'exposure' as pay.", which in pretty much all cases only benefits one party (the one that gets the actual stuff) overall. It was always going to be like this.

Fuck storylines, denying this HoF induction is garbage and it reminds me of how Vince would handle this, quite frankly. He would never agree to anything, that would give a wider audience of the WWE a chance to see how a current WWE talent being glorified for what they've accomplished in a more or less competing company AND where that talent actually was build up to be the big name it already was, when it came into the WWE.
