While the clip of Bill Goldberg pinning Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX was largely aired this past week on RAW to put over tomorrow night's special guest host, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, WWE has indeed been in talks with the former wrestling megastar regarding a relationship renewal.

WWE officials recognize he's not going to come back and wrestle, but they're hopeful of reaching a deal where they can use his likeness in video games and perhaps an induction into next year's Hall of Fame class considering they are running low on "main eventers."

Next year's Hall of Fame class is expected to have a WCW theme considering that it will be taking place in Atlanta, Georgia.

No. I liked Goldberg as much as the next WCW fan but no. Sad thing is I can picture him being in the HoF but mainly just because of popularity and not what he's actually done in the business (aka he doesn't truly belong there).

He was a world champion in both companies. That pretty much automatically gets him in regardless of what you think of him.

Goldberg said in a shoot interview that he has no intentions with working with Vince McMahon again.

That is not really working it is more getting paid for doing nothing. And considering his name is Goldberg this should be right down his alley.

Goldberg deserves to be in the HOF despite what anyone thinks. He won World titles in both WCW and WWE. He has the most infamous winning streak in pro wrestling history. He is the greatest "dominator" of all time. When it comes to most recognizable faces of WCW as a promotion itself, he is definitely top 3.

God his WWE run was crap.

I can see the writers now:

"Hey we just signed Goldberg so how do we get him over?"

"I Know!! We'll do the EXACT same thing they did in WCW: Same "backstage pre-entrance", same fireworks, get Jim Johnston to write a crappy version of his WCW theme music, and expect fans to embrace the same character!"

FAIL

If it is a WCW theme and Sting isn't the first option, Goldberg would be a definite second option.

Sting would be announced more down the road. I bet it.

'Berg in the HoF. He fits. Shit, we've had jobbers like those Samoan's get inducted. Why cant we have a former two time champion in there?

Also, any chances on Chris Benoit being inducted by his wife & ki... Never mind.

No, but seriously, if it is WCW themed, I would love for them to bring in Benoit. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't mind seeing Goldberg inducted, he did enough in WCW and was really the only new face they ever made money off of. He was pretty impactful in their stay at the top so yeah, Goldberg should be near the top of the list.

I'm doubting that they will get Sting for this but here's to hoping.

lol at Benoit ever being mentioned again in the WWE.

Which kind of reminds me, is Eddie Guerrero in the Hall of Fame yet? It slipped my mind if he is or not and if he isn't then the WCW theme would be a great time to do it.

I have conflicts with Beniot. I wouldd love for him to be inducted. His work in the biz has spoken for itself but I think it would have to be in a long time until he is erased from the blacklist
