(Backstory)
Wrestlemania 24 took place on Sunday March 30, 2008 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida, in front of over 70,000 WWE Fans. But as any Wrestlemania a backstage talking point was always the utmost of interest. TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) a group that was founded in 2002 tried to sabotage the event and ruin the biggest wrestling show of the year. Many plans were foiled by WWE Security and Staff but they were not able to stop a Blimp going over the Arena plugging TNA’s Weekly show iMPACT! WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was furious that no one stopped it and waited worriedly and anxiously as to what rating the next iMPACT! would get. But he couldn’t wait until Thursday and decided that his product must sharpen up and become as it was many years ago, keeping longtime fans from moving to support TNA.

Preview:
The Age of Orton Continues

March 31, 2008

Last night saw the biggest wrestling event ever take place in Wrestlemania, as over 70,000 thousand wild WWE fans sat in awe and suspense at The Undertaker becoming 16-0 at the event, Ric Flair retiring from professional wrestling but what is one most peoples lips is Randy Orton retaining the WWE Championship.

Many thought that Triple H or John Cena would take the Belt from the “Legend Killer†but somehow Orton was able to keep his belt and keep The Age of Orton alive. However in just under 4 weeks is another Pay-Per-View extravaganza entitled Backlash, and for many reasons.

Triple H and John Cena will definitely want another chance at Orton’s WWE Championship, whilst many other names pop to mind and will not stop at anything to get a chance, those names including Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels and JBL. But the big question is who will get the next shot at Orton’s Championship?

Amongst other highlights from last night, “Nature Boy†Ric Flair’s luck finally run out and lost to Shawn Michaels, subsequently ending his career in the sport that has spanned over an incredible 3 decades. Tonight rumors are spreading that Ric Flair will make an appearance on the show, but so far WWE.COM hasn’t gotten an official word.

Having lost last night in a Brand Supremacy Match to Batista, Umaga will certainly feel the wrath of Raw General Manager William Regal. In fact we can announce that tonight Umaga will have a Match with an unannounced superstar. No one knows who it will be, so to find out watch tonight’s show.

For the answers to these questions and more, be sure to tune into Monday Night Raw at 9/8 CT only on USA Network. And replays are being shown all week of the biggest wrestling event of all-time Wrestlemania 24 in case you missed it.

The preview is really well set out, and things are looking good thus far. I'm guessing Umaga will be facing a new or return ing superstar. I think this is a way to bring RVD back. Or hell, you may even go with Regal himself.

Anyway, good luck with this, I'll check it out for sure.

The Race for a Shot Begins

March 31, 2008

“Yes sir we promise you a great main event here tonight,
Freddie Blassie,
Andre the Giant,
WRESTLEMANIA!
Hulkamania is runnin wild
Rest in Piece
My God what a
If ya smeeeeeell
You’re fired
Gimme a hell yeah!
The world is watching”
A World Wrestling Entertainment Logo is shown in the bottom left hand corner of the screen with the words “WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT” followed by a clip of Randy Orton holding the WWE Championship above his head after winning his Triple Threat Match at last nights Wrestlemania 24. In the centre bottom of the screen is a Wrestlemania 24 Logo, and below that is the words: “LAST NIGHT”. A Video Package follows this highlighting events from last nights show that goes on for over a minute. The Video Package fades to black, after a few seconds the screen fades back in to Raw General Manager William Regal looking direct at the camera in his office with an excited look on his face. The Crowd instantly boo at the appearance of Regal.

William Regal: Last night at Wrestlemania 24, Randy Orton successfully defended the WWE Championship against John Cena and Triple Haytch. However in just under 4 weeks the WWE will present Backlash, and Raw needs to determine a Contender to face Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. So tonight there will be 3 matches throughout tonight’s show. The winners of those matches will then face off next week in a Triple Threat Match with the winner facing Randy Orton at Backlash. Thank you.

Regal fades out from the Screen, as the Screen shows the Raw Stage where the usual Pyro goes off to the crowd’s outspoken delight. A Camera highlights the whole arena as a Raw Logo is shown at the top with the words: “ORLANDO, FL” written below it followed by the word: “LIVE!” written below that.

Jim Ross: Coming off the heels of a magnificent Wrestlemania 24, we welcome you live to Monday Night Raw! Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler at ringside and tonight ladies and gentleman as we just heard from William Regal 3 matches will take place having implications on next week’s huge Triple Threat Match.

A Camera hovers over the arena and to the Stage as Triple H’s Entrance Music blasts through the speakers as the crowd jump to their feet.

Jim Ross: Well we are gonna start Raw in a big way with the first Match of William Regal’s Contender Tournament. And the first man to be in the Tournament is the man who came so close to winning the WWE Championship last night, “The Game” Triple H.

Jerry Lawler: Wrestlemania didn’t go to plan for Triple H, but as you said he will get an opportunity to get another opportunity at Randy Orton.

Triple H’s poses on the turnbuckle on the right of the Announce Table, before the lights coming back on and Chris Jericho’s Entrance Music blasting through the speakers, getting quite a good response.

Jerry Lawler: Woah!

Jim Ross: What an opening match this is going to be to kick off Monday Night Raw, Triple H vs. “Y2J” Chris Jericho.

MATCH ONE OF WILLIAM REGAL’S TOURNAMENT – Triple H vs. Chris Jericho
SUMMARY: These two went all out to get a spot in next week’s Triple Threat Match, both wanting another shot at Randy Orton’s WWE Championship, Jericho having his way back at Armageddon 2007 and Triple H at last nights Wrestlemania 24. At the early beginning both went blow for blow trading hard right punches at each other. Triple H got the first advantage using his in-ring knowledge to gain the upper hand. “The Game” executed big power moves such as the Harley race-like knee to the face and Spinebuster. Triple H tried another knee on the mat but Jericho rolled out of the way, meaning he kneed into the mat. Jericho then rolled off the ropes and executed an Enzuguri Kick that got him the advantage for the next few minutes. Towards the 8 minute mark the two were trying to finish the match as soon as possible, saving what’s left of there energy for a possible match next week. After a few false finishes Jericho tried his patented Codebreaker maneuver but Triple H kicks Jericho in the mid section and sets him up for the Pedigree. However Triple H’s attention is now focused on JBL who has made his way down to ringside and is standing on the ring apron. Sensing trouble, Triple H runs and knocks JBL off the ring apron, forcing JBL to the outside floor. H turns around and is met with the Codebreaker from Jericho, Jericho covers Triple H and gets the three count and a spot in next week’s Triple Threat Match. WINNER: Chris Jericho

Jim Ross: JBL has just stolen Triple H’s spot in next week’s Triple Threat Match, meaning Chris Jericho is the first person announced for next week’s No.1 Contender Match.

Jerry Lawler: JR, do you think Orton set JBL up to do this?

Jim Ross: I don’t know King, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

A Camera fades in to see Triple H Backstage fuming over what has just transpired. “The Game” walks up and down in anger until he is stopped in his tracks by Shawn Michaels. The crowd cheer at “HBK’s” appearance.

Shawn Michaels: Hey….. Hunter. Calm. Look, the word going around backstage is that I am in one of these matches that William Regal is making, and my opponent is JBL.

Triple H’s eyes light up immediately.

Shawn Michaels: Wait! Before you get any ideas on how to get your revenge about what he has done, I want you to promise me that you will not make any actions in that match.

Triple H huffs at Michaels’ words.

Shawn Michaels: Hunter, you promise me?

Triple H: Ok Shawn.

A Camera turns to the ring, where Paul London is standing inside the ring, a Raw Logo with the word: “LIVE!” is written next to it in the top right corner for a few seconds. A Raw Logo is shown with the words: “PAUL LONDON” written next to it at the bottom of the screen.

Jim Ross: Well if Shawn Michaels is correct tonight, we will see him take on JBL, which should be a very interesting match to say the least, but first we have Singles Action to continue Raw.

A Camera turns back to the Stage as Hardcore Holly’s Entrance Music blasts out through the speakers as Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly make their way down the ring, clutching their World Tag-Team Championships on their shoulders.

Jim Ross: This should be a very interesting match King, between two very young superstars in Cody Rhodes and Paul London.

Cody Rhodes w/Hardcore Holly vs. Paul London
SUMMARY: As Jim Ross had said a few seconds earlier, this was a very interesting match. Paul London sensed that a win over a World Tag-Team Champion would give him and his partner a better chance at a future World Tag-Team Title Shot. London came out letting nothing stop him from getting the early advantage, but Rhodes used his old school wrestling skill to side headlock the former WWE Tag-Team Champion. After a few minutes of back and forth action Rhodes had the advantage, but someone’s Entrance Music was heard throughout the arena, beginning with the word: “Priceless” sung. Rhodes attention turned to the Stage Area but no one was there. London then rolled up Rhodes to gain the pinfall victory. WINNER: Paul London

Jerry Lawler: What was that about?

Jim Ross: A very confusing incident just happened King, and it cost Cody Rhodes a win.

Jerry Lawler: Priceless?

Jim Ross: Well still to come on Monday Night Raw, Shawn Michaels will take on JBL.

Jerry Lawler: But coming up next the Second Match in William Regal’s Tournament.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

A Camera fades back in from the Commercial Break to outside of the Divas Locker-room, the door is wide open with everything in a mess, the Cameraman slowly looks side to side, showing the movement of the Camera and then walks uneasily inside. He spots Santino Marella writing on a Mirror with a Permanent Marker.

Santino Marella: Whata you going to do about this Divas?

Marella turns around and sees the Cameraman to his surprise.

Santino Marella: Whata do you think youa doing spying ona Santino Marella like that? It doesn’t matter my work here is done.

Marella walks out of the room, to show the Mirror that he had written on with a Permanent marker, it reads: “DIVAS HAVE FAKE BOOBIES”, getting a few laughs from the Crowd in attendance. A Camera turns to Backstage where John Cena is walking down a Corridor.

Jerry Lawler: *laughs*

Jim Ross: Well, John Cena is in action next, in the second William Regal Tournament Match, don’t go anywhere.

A Backlash 2008 Promo Airs

A Camera highlights the whole of the inside arena as John Cena’s Entrance Music starts to play through the speakers, signaling off a mixed response, mainly cheers.

Jim Ross: WWE Backlash comes to you on Sunday April 27, 2008 live and exclusively on Pay-Per-View.

Jerry Lawler: John Cena will be hoping that he main events Backlash, seeing as he has a chance to get a one-on-one match with Randy Orton, but first he’ll have to beat…..

Cena looks on in anticipation at who he will be taking on, Jeff Hardy’s Entrance Music blasts through the speakers to a roar of delight from the crowd.

Jerry Lawler: …… JEFF HARDY!

Jim Ross: Jeff Hardy had a disappointing Wrestlemania last night, unable to win the Money in the Bank, meaning this is his only chance at getting a WWE Championship Shot.

MATCH TWO OF WILLIAM REGAL’S TOURNAMENT – John Cena vs. Jeff Hardy
SUMMARY: In the second match of the William Regal Tournament, Raw viewers were in for a real treat, in John Cena against Jeff Hardy, a match that has rarely happened on stakes as high as this. Even though the crowd cheered at Cena’s appearance to the ring for the Match, the crowd soon sensed Hardy’s desperation and determination and would cheer him on throughout most of the match. Towards the beginning it was mixed as to whom had the advantage just like the first match, but Hardy soon got his groove in the match and used his high flying aerial ability to take the advantage. Hardy held on an Abdominal Stretch, that signaled the comeback for Cena in the Match, Cena got out of the hold and rolled Hardy into the ropes, but Hardy executed a Mule Kick to win back the advantage. From then on it was back and forth for the remaining few minutes as the match went past the 10 Minute Mark. Hardy hit a Twist of Fate and climbed to the top rope, Hardy spotted Cena slightly moving and tried a Twist of Fate again but was hit with the FU. Cena covered and got the three count, advancing to next week’s Triple Threat match. WINNER: John Cena

Jim Ross: John Cena joins Chris Jericho in next week’s Triple Threat Match, but you have to feel a sense of disappointment with Jeff Hardy, who has had to suffer two nights of close victories.

Jerry Lawler: JR, Jeff Hardy maybe unhappy, but he put in a great performance and was unable to get that win.

Jim Ross: Well still to come, JBL will take on “Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels for the final spot in next week’s Triple Threat Match.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

A Camera fades back in to Todd Grisham’s face at the Interview Area Backstage, as he begins to talk the camera fades out to see JBL next to him in his familiar ring jacket, as JBL is noticed the Crowd boo heavily.

Todd Grisham: Ladies and gentleman my guest at this time, John Bradshaw Layfield.

The Crowd boo immensely at the former WWE Champion.

Todd Grisham: JBL, tonight rumors are going around that you have a match in William Regal’s Tournament and it is against Shawn Michaels. Is this true?

John Bradshaw Layfield: I don’t know how any of these pathetic people in Orlando found out but yes it is true, and Michaels, I wouldn’t even bother showing up because last night at Wrestlemania I destroyed supposedly the toughest man in the WWE, Finlay with ease, taking on you will be even easier.

The Crowd boo louder at the mention of JBL putting down Orlando.

Todd Grisham: JBL, earlier on tonight, you cost Triple H his match with Chris Jericho, can you explain your actions?

John Bradshaw Layfield: Explain myself to all of yo….

JBL is interrupted by the appearance of Umaga who walks past in anger. Raw General Manager William Regal appears at the far left of the screen in dismay.

William Regal: Youmanaga! (Pause) Youmanga! Was it you? (Pause) Was it you who took out Paul Burchill?

The Camera follows William Regal rushing around Backstage.

William Regal: Bloody Youmanaga!

Regal spots Mr. Kennedy loitering around.

William Regal: You!

Mr. Kennedy: Me?

William Regal: Yes, get out to that ring. You’re taking on Youmanaga.

Mr. Kennedy: Who’s Youmanaga?

William Regal: You’ll bloody find out;

A Camera turns to the Stage, where Umaga’s Entrance Music blasts through the speakers. Umaga gets a mixed reaction, but mainly boos as he makes his way down towards the ring for his upcoming match.

Jim Ross: A unique turn of events between Raw General Manager William Regal and Umaga.

Jerry Lawler: You mean Youmanaga.

Mr. Kennedy’s Entrance Music blasts through the speakers, a she gets a load noise of cheers from the Crowd, Kennedy is uneasy about taking on Umaga.

Jerry Lawler: This is not what Mr. Kennedy planned.

Jim Ross: Well Mr. Kennedy had an eventful night last night at Wrestlem…

Jerry Lawler: KENNEDY!

Umaga vs. Mr. Kennedy
SUMMARY: Mr. Kennedy was uneasy about the circumstances he was put in by Raw General Manager William Regal, but none the less went out and gave his all. However Mr. Kennedy was hurt after last nights Money in the Bank Match and it proved the decisive factor in the match. Kennedy tried a DDT but Umaga played possum and executed a brutal Samoan Drop on Kennedy. In the end after 5 minutes of action, Umaga finished off the match looking directly at William Regal, who had made his way to the Stage Area during the match, by executing the Samoan Spike, then getting the pinfall victory. WINNER: Umaga

Jim Ross: The Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga has just steamrolled through Mr. Kennedy, but what I want to know is did Umaga beat up Paul Burchill in the back.

Jerry Lawler: Obviously William Regal, had set Burchill up to take him on but Umaga didn’t want to. It’s not like Umaga to back down from anyone.

Jim Ross: Well coming up next, JBL will take on Shawn Michaels for the final spot in next week’s Triple Threat Match.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

A Camera fades back in to somewhere Backstage, as John Cena is being congratulated on his win over Jeff Hardy earlier tonight by a bunch of sexy women. A few seconds later Chris Jericho appears on the screen.

Chris Jericho: Hey Cena.

John Cena: What’s up Chris?

Chris Jericho: I’d just like to say you better remember all these women all over you, because next week when I beat you and the other ass clown that wins tonight. I will then go to Backlash and win the WWE Championship, making me a Double Champion. And all of these women and a hell of a lot more will be all over me. And when that happens Raw will never………….. EVER……… be…

John Cena: …. The same again. Yeah I think I might of heard that somewhere before. Well Chris, or “Y2J” let me just say that I worked too hard tonight to just lay down next week and let another Title Shot go away easily. So you won’t just be fighting me, you’ll be fighting the most hard working superstar in the entire WWE, the man who got you fired a few years back, a man that will never back down from anything put in front of him. You’ll be up against John Cena.

Chris Jericho: *laughs* You know what he was right about you.

Jericho walks off past John Cena as Cena looks on in anticipation. A Camera then turns to the Stage Area, where JBL’s Entrance Music blasts through the speakers, to a roar of boos from the Crowd.

Jim Ross: Tension is already heating up between the two superstars already in next week’s match, and you can be sure that if JBL wins this match, he’ll be creating even more.

Jerry Lawler: But JR, JBL has to beat Shawn Michaels first.

Shawn Michaels Entrance Music blasts through the speakers to a sea of cheers from the Crowd.

Jim Ross: The man that ended Ric Flair’s illustrious career last night at Wrestlemania, Mr. Wrestlemania himself, The Showstopper, The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels.

Jerry Lawler: Shawn will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

MATCH THREE OF WILLIAM REGAL’S TOURNAMENT – JBL vs. Shawn Michaels
SUMMARY: The final match of William Regal’s Tournament pitted JBL against Shawn Michaels, and it was the closest match of the three. Michaels hadn’t had a Title Shot against Randy Orton since November of last year at Survivor Series, whilst JBL was yet to have a Title Shot against Randy Orton. Michaels began very well with his aerial ability, but JBL after a few minutes stopped The Heartbreak Kid in his tracks and used his strength and power to take the advantage during the next few minutes. At the 10 minute mark, both men were now trying to grind out a win, trying to execute their finishers and get the victory. After a few minutes, JBL hit a stiff Clothesline From Hell and walked over to Michaels, looking for the pinfall, but Ric Flair’s Entrance Music blasted through the speakers to the biggest reaction of the night. JBL turned around in shock as he saw Ric Flair up on the Stage holding a Microphone.

Ric Flair: JBL! This is the only chance I have to thank you personally for all the help you have given me in my career. Thank you JBL. Now I won’t interrupt your match any longer, I know it’s an important one.

JBL turned around and is hit with Sweet Chin Music from Shawn Michaels. Michaels covers JBL for the win. WINNER: Shawn Michaels

Jim Ross: Shawn Michaels is through to next week’s triple Threat Match against John Cena and Chris Jericho.

Jerry Lawler: Ric Flair is here JR!

Flair walks down to the ring and gets in the ring and shakes Shawn Michael’s hand, before hugging him in the centre of the ring, as the Camera fades out.

QUICK RESULTS
1. Chris Jericho bt. Triple H in a William Regal Tournament Match
2. Paul London bt. Cody Rhodes
3. John Cena bt. Jeff Hardy in a William regal Tournament Match
4. Umaga bt. Mr. Kennedy
5. Shawn Michaels bt. JBL in a William Regal Tournament Match

Moonlight Drive

Guest
BM: Umaga/Kennedy because Umaga got the rub. And Umaga is awesome, we all know that. Interesting tournament concept, nice to see Chris Jericho going over

WM: They were alll really the same, so no Worst Match, they were all equally good/bad, whatever floats your boat

BP: None stood out. They were all pretty one-dimensional, but I guess I'll go with Jericho/Cena because it was the funnest to read. And classic, 'Who's Youmanga?' ROFL

WP: The opener was very bland and uninspired.

AF: Interesting first show, but wasn't Jeff suspended? Possibly could've explained that, since he wasn't at WM either and if he wasn't suspended there was no reason for him not to be. Just one of them little details

Raw Comments.

Regal starting things off before the commentators get a gig is nice and not something that I’ve seen commonly done., so props there.

Kicking off the show the night after Wrestlemania with a match instead of a promo is very odd, for mine. The fact that I’m not seeing (reading) Randy Orton out here at the moment is quite odd because it is the opportune moment for him to gloat his victory hot off the heels of last night. Now you’re kicking off with a match, I wonder how you could possibly include Randy into this show with any real significance. Having said that however, HUGE match to get us underway. Jericho and Hunter. Good stuff, gives Regal’s tournament a REAL sense of importance, which is good. JBL costing Hunter the win seems a little random, particularly since the match involves a fierce rival of JBL in Jericho. Never the less, solid match recap. You covered all you had too and didn’t go over board. Y2J getting the pin over Hunter is huge for him, even with interference it’s a great result for Jericho and it puts over his finisher immensely. Only shame is this finish reeks of the same finish to the Jericho – Punk match IRL this week, but that’s okay because I think it’s a well booked finish.

A very uninspired promo. I didn’t feel this one at all. Michaels just wasn’t right. Bottom line. Too short, no depth or substance and horrible character portrayal.

I hate the duo of Rhodes and Holly, hopefully you do something about it soon. Given that Ted DiBiase’s theme played during that match, I’m lead to believe you’re about to do exactly that. This match was just the right length as the match itself clearly wasn’t about the people n it but about storyline development. Solid stuff.

Divas have fake boobies? An attempt at humour? Fail.

The second match is Cena v Hardy? Good to see you’re persisting with the star power. Cena picking up the win is no surprise at all however the recap wasn’t written all that brilliantly. The ending exchanges for instance... Hardy hits a twist of fate and goes to the top rope, he then sees cena moving to he tries to hit another twist of fate but eats an FU. When did he get off the turnbuckle??? I was going to say before that you do a good job with your descriptions in matches and promos and then this, disappointing. No questions asked re the booking though, you made the right decision in my opinion. Jeff wasn’t in MITB at ‘Mania either btw, he was suspended.

Okay. When the hell was Burchill taken out? I must’ve missed that. I love Regal, btw.

Kennedy v Umaga... hmmm. Here comes a squash. Sure enough, Kennedy gets killed. That’s brutal. Injured or not, you’ve just destroyed him. I hope you plan to capitalise on this with Umaga.

Another short promo with no real depth, but at least it hypes your tournament. I hated your portrayal of Jericho here, you didn’t capture him at all well but Cena wasn’t too bad. Definitely better than Jericho.

Main Event already? Okay. Short recap, nothing overly extraordinary though you did cover the wrestlers movements fairly well. Flair’s involvement was a little odd but it was a good way to keep JBL looking strong whilst putting HBK over. Bradshaw’s finisher comes out looking a little weak though because you wrote it as if HBK got straight up from it and hit the superkick. The only thing I didn’t like was that the finish was very much like the finish from the opening match.
The little embrace at the end was fair enough between Flair and Michaels. Is it the last we’ll see of Flair though??? Perhaps, perhaps not.

Overall, a decent enough show. It was VERY short. Really, it was. You were realistically probably a couple of segments short to be honest. You’ve got some solid storylines developing. Your promos need work, they need more depth. They need length. They need to portray characters better. I must admit I enjoyed your portrayal of Regal, though.

I need to pick you up on one HUGE error on your behalf though... it is the night after Wrestlemania, your HEEL champion retained, AND HE’S NOT EVEN ON THE SHOW?!?!??! What the hell? Why not? Where was Orton? No real mention of him... nothing. Very ordinary mistake in my mind.

Other than that, you did a fine job.

ECW Preview, 1 April 2008 – Miami, Florida: April Fools

ECW rolls into Miami, Florida just 48 hours removed from a spectacular Wrestlemania 24! ‘Mania saw new champions crowned and new legacies started, and tonight we will witness the fallout!

‘The Big Red Machine’ Kane became our new ECW Champion on Sunday when he defeated Chavo Guerrero in just eight seconds. Chavo will definitely have some words for the new Champion, and will probably cash in his rematch clause sooner rather than later. Will new challengers step up to the plate and challenge Kane, or will the Warrior from El Paso wage war on Kane?

We have been promised that tonight the WWE Chairman of the Board, Vince McMahon, will be in Miami to make a huge announcement. We have been told that McMahon’s announcement will regard the future of ECW and change everything for the better. Just what does Mr McMahon have planned for ECW?

Young superstar Kofi Kingston has been on blazing form since coming to ECW. The Jamaican has been undefeated and overcame every challenger thrown at him. Tonight he is going to face Finlay, the Fighting Irishman who lost to JBL in a Street Fight at Wrestlemania. Finlay will certainly not be in a very good mood after his loss, will Kofi be able to cause an upset and walk away with his undefeated streak intact?

CM Punk shocked the world last night when he defeated 6 other men and retrieved the Money in the Bank briefcase, guaranteeing him a World Title shot at any point in the next year. What will be in store for Mr Money in the Bank here tonight?

Find out all the answers to these questions by tuning in to ECW on Sci-Fi!

Please note this show was made by Richard Flair, he has given me permission to post the show on this Forum. feedback will be sent over to Richard Flair when given.

A video package from Wrestlemania is shown, highliting the 24 man Battle royal, the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and the ECW Championship match. The camera fades out on a shot of Kane holding the ECW Championship.

**PYRO**

*PYRO*

The camera zooms around the arena, showing the screaming fans. It stops on one fan that has a ‘Chavo Sucks’ sign, then we go to Tazz and Joey Styles at commentary.

Tazz: Welcome everybody to the first edition of ECW after Wrestlemania 24! We join you now from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I am Tazz and this is my broadcast partner Joey Styles.

Styles: Thank you Tazz. Wrestlemania certainly was an exciting one for the ECW Brand, as we saw CM Punk win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match!

Tazz: And we also saw a new ECW Champion crowned when Kane defeated Chavo Guerrero!

**OOH CHAVO**

Styles: Speak of the devil, here comes our former champ.

Former ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero makes his way out to the ring with a serious look on his face. He wastes no time taunting to the crowd, and instead he just rolls into the ring and begins to speak.

Chavo: Sunday, at Wrestlemania. I was beaten by the freak known as Kane! The victory was a fluke, I wasn’t even ready! Everybody knows the champion comes in after the challenger. Kane clearly broke this rule and therefore should be stripped of the ECW Championship! I wo-

**SLOW CHEMICAL**

The new ECW Champion Kane comes down to the ring to a HUGE pop. He steps into the ring and stares at Chavo, laughing manically. Chavo puts the mic to his mouth to speak, but Kane snatches the microphone from his hand.

Kane: Chavo, you just can’t face the fact that I beat your sorry little ass in eight seconds! You think I should be stripped of the ECW Championship? If anyone tries to take my title...then I will send them straight to hell!

**WELL, IT’S THE BIG SHOW**

The 7 foot giant named Big Show steps out from behind the curtain. He garners quite a bit of heat from the Oklahoma crowd. He enters the ring with a microphone already in his hand.

Big Show: Kane, on Sunday, I, like Chavo, suffered a very humiliating victory. I lost to a man half my size and half of my weight. I lost because I am half a man without my title. My ECW Championship! Everything that has ever happened in the past can stay in the past. Forget history, as we shall rewrite it Kane! I want you at Backlash for that title around your waist!

The crowd give Show a mixed reaction after this cheesy speech.

Chavo: Hold on big guy, I was here first, and I have a rematch clause. I will be facing Kane at Backlash, not you!

Big Show: Why don’t we make it a triple threat then Guerrero?

Chavo: Because you don’t deserve it. You are not a warrior; you are not anything compared to me!

Chavo has a smug look on his face, so Show grabs him by the throat. Kane laughs as Chavo squirms, trying to escape Big Show’s grip. Suddenly, Armando Estrada struts out onto the ramp without any entrance music.

Estrada: Whoa whoa whoa. Now Big Show lets not rush in things huh? Chavito vs Kane will be happening at Backlash! And Big Show if joo want to be in that match, den joo will have do beat Chavito here tonight on E C Double Joo! Ha ha ha!

Estrada goes to the back, as Big Show lets go of Chavo who runs out of the ring. Big Show and Kane are laughing as we go to commercial.

**COMMERCIAL**

When we return we see Kofi Kingston making his way to the ring to a pop. He slaps the hands of as many fans as he can, then poses and enters the ring.

Tazz: Can this red hot youngster keep his undefeated streak alive here tonight?

Styles: I don’t know Tazz, but we are about to find out!

**MY NAME IS FINLAY, AND I LOVE TO FIGHT**

The fighting Irishman Finlay comes out to the ring accompanied by Hornswoggle. He is sporting a bandage on his head after Sunday’s brutal Belfast Brawl against Bradshaw. Finlay is getting a face reaction slightly larger than Kofi’s. Hornswoggle is dancing around whilst Finlay is smiling and tapping a few peoples hands. Finlay enters the ring and drops his shillelagh in the corner, then grins, ready for action.

Match 1: Finlay vs Kofi Kingston

Ending: The brawling style of Finlay has forced Kofi out of his comfort zone for most of this match, and Kofi uses some offensive manoeuvres that he has never used before. Finlay has Kofi locked in an armbar, and Kingston is desperately trying to power out. Eventually, Kingston manages to elbow Finlay in the face, and then again and one more time before the Fighting Irishman lets go. As Finlay checks his nose for blood, Kofi bounces off of the ropes and comes back with a huge flying clothesline that knocks Finlay to his feet. Kofi gets up and does a quick dance, before performing a back-flip. Finlay gets up, and Kingston delivers an amazing kick to the head of Finlay. Finlay staggers backwards into the ropes, and bounces off. Kofi bounces on the middle rope adjacent to the one Finlay bounced off, and does a spectacular corkscrew-esque jump, aiming for Finlay. The Fighting Irishman dodges Kofi’s athletic move, sending the Jamaican crashing down into the canvas. Finlay gets the cover...

......No! Kingston gets the shoulder up!

Finlay holds his head in his hands, disappointed. He gets up and pulls Kofi too his feet by his hair, and gets him in a headlock. Kofi struggles to stay on his feet, as the life is rapidly being drained from him. Finlay locks the hold in tighter, and Kofi looks like he is about to faint. The crowd start to clap, and as they do Kofi holds up his arm and tries to get back to his feet. The crowds claps grow louder, and gradually get faster. Kofi starts to turn his body around, forcing himself out of the hold. Kingston has a load of momentum going now, as he whips Finlay into the turnbuckle. Kofi runs over to the corner and jumps onto the ropes either side of Finlay, and sets him up for a huge DDT. Finlay counters yet again however, and climbs the turnbuckle with Kofi on his shoulders. He positions him for the Celtic Cross, but the Jamaican slides off and rolls the Irishman into a powerbomb position. Kingston nails a huge powerbomb, something incredible for a man of his size. Then as Finlay gets up, Kofi nails a Jamaican Buzzsaw and that was all she wrote.

......3! Kofi wins!

Kofi celebrates in the ring with a dance, after keeping his undefeated streak in unbelievable fashion. We cut to Estrada’s office where the GM is smoking a cigar. CM Punk enters with his newly won briefcase..

Estrada: Ey, de Punk what can I do for joo?

Punk: Estrada, Sunday at Wrestlemania I did ECW proud by winning the inter-promotional Money in the Bank Ladder Match. My win certainly raised a few eyebrows, I mean, when I cash in this case I will get a shot at the World Championship. People don’t think of me as a World Champion, Estrada. I need a challenge here tonight. I need a challenge to prove that I am a World Title contender.

Estrada: Joo need a challenge huh? Den I have da perfect opponent for joo, ha ha! Your match is up next so get ready!

**COMMERCIAL**

**THIS FIRE BURNS**

When we return from commercial the Straight-Edge superstar’s music is blaring around the arena. CM Punk runs out onto the ramp with his MitB briefcase. Punk sprints down to the ring to a huge pop, and puts his briefcase by the announcers table. Punk slides into the ring and rolls his hands around.

**DAN.GAR**

The crowd go wild with boo’s and jeers, and CM Punk looks pretty terrified, but keeps his composure. The Great Khali storms out onto the ramp, with Ranjin Singh by his side. Khali steps over the ropes and into the ring and the bell is rung.

CM Punk vs The Great Khali
Khali advances on Punk, but Mr MitB moves out of the way. Khali chases Punk again, only to fall short as Punk rolls out of the ring. Khali follows suit, and leaves the ring to chase Punk. As Khali gets out of the ring, CM Punk starts to club at him with rights and lefts, but Khali shakes it off, grabs Punk by the head, and pushes him into the steel steps. The ref shouts at Khali, so the big man shouts back in Indian. Khali lifts Punk up and tosses him into the ring. Khali goes back into the ring and puts his foot over Punk’s chest.
1......2............It's not over! CM Punk kicks out! Khali glares at the referee, and shouts at him in Indian. The ref insists it was a 2, but Khali is having none of it. While Khali is shouting at the ref, Punk is making it up to his feet. He bounces off of the ropes and delivers a dropkick to Khali’s back. Khali goes forward, knocking the referee down. Khali turns around to grab Punk, but Mr MitB has already slid out of the ring. Khali follows Punk out of the ring for a second time in this match. Khali is on one side of the ring, and Punk is on the other. Ranjin Singh gets a steel chair and sneaks up next to Punk, but CM Punk see’s him, and ducks the chair shot, reversing into a firemans carry. Singh is screaming and wriggling around, and Khali is fuming. Punk mouths something to Khali, and then hits a GTS on Singh. Khali runs yet again and this time Punk doesn’t run away. He picks up the chair that Singh had and gets ready to hit Khali with it. Khali just boots the chair into Punk’s face as he goes to hit him with it. Khali then tosses Punk over into the announce table. Punk just bounces off and lands next to his briefcase. Khali checks on Ranjin Singh, giving Punk valuable time to recover. By the time Khali gets over to Punk, the Straight-Edge Superstar has already positioned himself perfectly, waiting to strike. As Khali bends down, CM Punk brings the briefcase up hard, striking Khali over the head with it. The referee is starting to stir as Punk wallops Khali over the head another time with the case. Punk smashes the briefcase over Khali a third time, bring the giant to his knees. Punk runs and smashes Khali’s face with the briefcase, knocking him down. The referee is back on his feet, and counts the ringout, as Punk throws the case back to the ground. Punk picks up the steel chair that Singh had, and opens it out. The referee is shouting at Punk, telling him to put it down. Punk gets Khali’s foot, and puts the chair over it, onto his ankle. The ref shouts at Punk but he doesn’t listen, and stamps on the chair, crushing Khali’s ankle. The ref calls for the bell as Punk stomps down on the chair a second time, causing Khali great pain. Medics rush out to check on Khali, and Punk picks up his briefcase and walks up the ramp, smirking.

We cut backstage to Shelton Benjamin’s locker room. Shelton is sitting, watching replays of the last match on a monitor.

Shelton: Wow, I didn’t think Punk had it in him.

Elijah Burke enters the room and sits down next to Shelton.

Elijah: Hey Shelton, I just wanted to ask you something. You know, well now that-

Shelton: Hold on a second. (looks at cameraman) Get the hell outta here!

The camera moves backwards as the door is slammed shut. We cut to a video hyping Big Daddy V, saying that the Mastodon will be back in 1 month.

**COMMERCIAL**

Joey Styles: Welcome back to ECW, we have already witnessed a huge upset, Kofi Kingston kept his undefeated streak alive at the expense of the wily veteran, Finlay.

Tazz: And we saw the dark side to CM Punk, when he crushed the ankle of the Great Khali! And up next we have been promised an announcement from Vince McMahon!

**NO CHANCE**

Joey Styles: Here comes the WWE Chairman, I wonder what he has to say.

Vince walks out to a mixed reaction. Some people booing him because of his heelish manner, and some people cheering as they know he has got a huge announcement to make. Vince walks down to the ring with a mic in hand.

Vince: Hello Oklahoma!

POP

Vince: Now as you know I am here to make an announcement. Now I have been thinking lately. Thinking about this brand named ECW. I have been thinking about how passionless it is. All ECW is is another WWE Franchise. It isn’t ECW anymore. Watching the old tapes of The Sandman and Sabu, I thought to myself, I have failed. This new ECW failed. So now I am out here to make an announcement regarding the future of ECW. First and foremost, the talent share with Smackdown is over, I need to know that ECW can survive by itself, so I have moved The Big Show to ECW permanently and I have moved The Miz and John Morrison over to Smackdown. 2nd of all, is an announcement regarding the management of ECW. Armando Estrada, get out here.

There is a pause, before ECW General Manager Estrada comes out to the ring.

Estrada: Wat do joo want Vince?

Vince: I want to tell you that....I am retiring and you are the new chairman of the WWE!

Estrada: Oh sweet jesus yess! Thank joo Mr McMahon!

Vince: APRIL FOOLS!

LAUGHTER

Vince: What I was really going to say is....YOUR FIRED!

POP

Estrada: No pleas-

Vince: Get outta my ring!

POP

Vince: A new ECW General Manager will be revealed next week on ECW. If ECW fails now under his management, then the 3rd brand will be disbanded! New talent will be brought in to the brand and the dead wood will be removed. Get ready for a new era!

Tazz: Now that is groundbreaking Joey, ECW is on the up now!

**WELL, IT’S THE BIG SHOW**

The Big Show walks out onto the stage and makes his way down the ramp. He passes McMahon and the two stare at each other, before going their separate ways. Big Show steps into the ring, anticipating his upcoming match against Chavo.

**OOH CHAVO**

Joey Styles: Here comes the number 1 contender for Kane’s ECW Championship, now the question is can Big Show defeat this man and make the Backlash match a triple threat?

Chavo walks out to heat. He taunts to the crowd before strutting confidently down to the ring, rolling in and staring at Big Show cockily. Show goes to grab Chavo by the throat but Chavo kicks him where it hurts. Chavo bounces off of the ropes and boots Big Show in the head. The referee calls for the bell and the match is underway.

Chavo runs towards the downed Big Show, but Show trips him and Chavo goes head-first into the turnbuckle. Chavo bounces off and lands awkwardly on the canvas. Big Show gets back to his feet, then waits for Chavo. Chavo slowly gets back up, and Big Show signals for a chokeslam! Chavo turns around, and ducks Show’s hand. Chavo bounces off of the ropes and comes back with a dropkick to Big Show’s midsection. Chavo then thinks fast and hits a sharp kick to the back of Big Show’s legs. Chavo hits another combination of kicks on Big Show, before running up to the ropes. Chavo jumps onto the middle rope and backflips, but Big Show catches him in mid-air. Show slams Chavo down into the canvas. Chavo rolls around in pain, as Big Show lifts him straight back up. Show tosses Chavo into the turnbuckle, then runs at him. Show goes for a huge splash into Chavo, but Guerrero jumps out of the way. Show collides with the turnbuckle, then Chavo rolls him up. Guerrero gets his feet on the top rope for leverage, as the referee counts...

.....3!

Chavo rolls out of the ring and starts jumping for joy. Big Show gets to his feet and stares at Guerrero, before shaking his head in shame.

The camera fades out.

BM: Kofi vs Finlay. It was the best contest, altough I did felt that the matches were too short in this show. The ending was shocking as even if Kofi is with a push, I didn't expect to see him go cleanly that easily.

WM: Guerrero vs Show. It was way too short to be the main event and Big Show lost way too easily.

BP: The opening one. All made sense and it served for a good main event...booking wise.

WP: Vince promo. I am not a fan of those promos in which GMs announce a lot of things as normally, they don't sound realistic and in real life, GMs never drop so many news at the same time. Also, the way he fired Armando Estrada was kinda anticlimatic.

AC: It was a good show. Matches could have been a little longer, and the promos laid out a little better. However, it was a fun little show that put over storylines, specially the one with Punk. He didn't get a heel turn as he attacked Khali, and well, he has no crowd likeness

BM: Um, wow, can't believe I'm saying this...my favorite was Punk and Khali. Something about it was just the most entertaining to me. The other matches were good, but this really stood out to me, which is odd because I hate Khali.

WM: ME. Too short and Big Show was a push over. He lost out big time on this one.

BP: The opening one. Progressed story and stayed in character.

WP: Vince and Armando was rough. Too short for what this promo would be IRL. I like what you did, just not how you did it.

AC: Overall a good show...6.5/10. Please come check out XCW: Full Throttle when you get a chance.

WWE: A New Era Personal Notes From Lethal Combination
Monday, September 01, 2008

Firstly I'd like to thank -HBK- and PARANoiR for reviewing my first Raw, it really helps to get different views from various bookers and likes and dislikes. Also, many thanks go to CMS and - -Magnus- - for reviewing ECW. I've given Richard Flair the reviews and he is very pleased with the feedback.

I would like to mention that Smackdown 04/04/2008 will not be posted, as my brother Greenstuff is in the midst of his Laptop being fixed, so has had next to no time to write up the Preview and Show. However he should be able to write Smackdown 11/04/2008 and posted.

I am quite pleased with my first raw of the BTB and I hope I can further enhance the storylines to make Raw a must not miss show. Also, Pay-Per-Views will be written in full, but Raw, Smackdown and ECW are written in Recaps.

Finally I am now going to start on my Preview for Raw 07/04/2008 and then get cracking on the show itself. However don't be surprised if it takes longer than expected as on Wednesday I start my time in High School, so I probably will get more Homework and Assignments to do.

Thanks for reading,

Lethal Combination

Preview:
Contender READY?

April 07, 2008

Last week on Raw saw the beginning of the William Regal Tournament, to determine Randy Orton's opponent for the WWE Championship at Backlash on April 27. In 3 Qualyfying Matches Chris Jericho, John Cena and Shawn Michaels all qualified to take part in a Triple Threat Match, taking place on tonight's broadcast. To find out who comes out on top, don't miss tonight's episode.

Also last week, Santino Marella snuck in to the Diva's Locker Room and wrote "DIVA'S HAVE FAKE BOOBIES" in permanant marker on a Mirror. After raw went off the air on WWE.COM Cameras caught the Divas entering the Locker Room in shock and already suspected Marella as the culprit. Will the Divas confront Marella tonight, or will Santino squirm himself out of yet another situation?

At Wrestlemania 24, Randy orton shocked the world by retaining the WWE Championship against Triple H and John Cena, however on last weeks Raw, Randy Orton was nowhere to be seen on the show. Will orton make an appearance on tonight's installment or will we go 2 weeks without seeing "The Legend Killer?"

Tensions are brewing between Triple H and JBL, last week JBL cost Triple H his Qualyfying Match with Chris Jericho, JBL will want to stay away from "The Game" but will that happen?

Last week Raw General Manager William Regal set up Paul Burchill to take on Umaga, but Burchill was found by Regal unconscious backstage, therefore Regal quickly made a replacement in the shape of Mr. Kennedy. In a close match, Umaga wound up the victor, but is regal finished with Umaga, or will he continue to put Umaga in more gruelling matches?

For the answers to these questions and more, be sure to tune into Monday Night Raw at 9/8 CT only on USA Network.
