The summary of it, again, LAST GEN info only:

Gameplay:
_Exactly the same gameplay as WWE 2K14, no new stamina system, no new finishers and signatures system, still the same Wake Up taunt system without the new Wake Up + Finisher combo, still same 2K14 Breaking Point submission system and display, still the same Strike speed of 2K14, no Chain Grappling system, no crawling to the ropes to get up, no crawling Pin, no new victory scenes system. Basically the game is WWE 2K14 with a different roster.
_Replays on the Pause Menu have been removed (on both gens)


Universe:
_Story Challenger: You have to complete objetives (play X rivalries, win X matches) and unlocks new stories
_Rivalry system: Still 3 rivalries per brand. You now can choose what stories do you want to play when setting up a rivalry, there are special stories to be unlocked playing rivalries
_Special Stories: You can activate or deactivate the option to auto Royal Rumble Winner story and Undertaker at WM story
_You can still CPU vs CPU matches
_Still 5 to 7 matches per show

Story Designer:
_Has been removed


Create a Finisher/Special Move:
_Has been removed


Exhibition and match types:
_Same as last year
_Casket Match and 3 Stages of Hell are Showcase matches only
_You can still do CPU vs CPU matches
_You can still select the match pace (Quick, Normal or Epic) and you seem to be able to actually change during the course of the match pressing start or something like that

This game was made for next Gen. You guys should be happy that they even took the time to do a last gen game. But don't expect it to be nearly as good as the next gen versions.

Has nothing to do with upgrading and getting next gen lol, Beyond Who's Got NXT (ps3/360) and My Career (x1/ps4) they share the same roster and modes. Which means things have been removed across the board. Each generation got 1 Exclusive according to what 2K has said so far so don't think Next gen is going to have much more, if anything.

Most of the things taken out were pointless anyways. Create a story was highly boring and a waste of time. Create a finisher was so broken that if you actually gave someone that move it was highly under powered. Finisher strength could be set to max but even if you hit three custom finishers on your opponent they would still kick out at 1.

I'm fine with them taking out pointless features in order to add better features like MyCareer and an even better Universe Mode.

I have this now and beyond some bizarre choices (Sheamus is better than Stone Cold... ....'Retro Alberto Del Rio' etc) and it's very short shelf-life, the DLC should make it worth a couple weeks fun.

seeing how people on last gen, I'm not one of them, Don't get my career, they kinda shafted pretty hard. IMO Features were removed because, beyond graphics they couldn't make next gen better or up to par feature wise so they stripped it down. I never had to much of a issue with created finishers and I highly enjoyed Story designer and playing other peoples stories.

Hopefully Career mode is good, as for universe, not much improved there and beyond something called story challenge/ being able to actually pick the story of a feud you set, it is all the same.

Also, There are more gamers on last gen then current, there is plenty of money to be made by making last gen at least better than last years game, not worse.

These sort of things happens when a franchise changes developers and publishers. Yes, while Yukes is still in on WWE 2k15, VC has a bigger role in the first full year (and first new gen release). Features that couldn't be fixed and upgraded to new gen due to time or budget or whatever get scrapped and reassessed for the next years' release. Create a Finisher, for example... With all the fucking new mocap they did for the new WWE 2K15, to make the moves look more smooth and what have you, the CAF would have REALLY stood out and been ugly. While it may or may not be a broken system in general, it was popular so I can't imagine it not making a return when they have time to devote to it.

I'm just stoked that Marcus is back at the helm for the WWE Games Community. Things are a lot more transparent when he's there and his passion for the game just shines thru. That, and he's a great dude who's a Cowboys fan. Happy to have him back.
