Shortly after NXT finished an announcement would be made on WWE.com by none other than the Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development. Triple H would reveal that William Regal would no longer be in the position of NXT General Manager and the until further notice he would be taking on the role. He also revealed that NXT would from this day forward, be no longer considered as a development brand, but rather that it would become the official third brand of the WWE. Triple H would go on to explain, that the company would be changing its business portfolio in respect to NXT UK and that it was likely that the UK project would most likely merge into a complete NXT Brand rather than two separate entities.
It would be made clear that the Development Center would continue to be the base in which future talent would be developed, but that talent would no longer be presented on a two-tier system in line with various changes to the way in which other products were starting to represent themselves. The statement would end with Triple H announcing that tomorrow night a special programme would air on the network that would known simply as "WWE Network TakeOver" but that the fans would have to tune in tomorrow night to find out exactly what this meant.
