Monday Night Raw:
May 18th 2020
Louisville, Kentucky
KFC Yum! Center
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A decent pop from the live crowd after the usual opening video for Monday Night Raw. We finish panning around the fans before cutting to the commentary team adjacent to ringside.
Michael Cole: It’s Monday night. You know what that means. Welcome to Monday Night Raw!
Elias: And we have a big show in store tonight! In the main event, we will see the Cruiserweight title on the line in a triple-threat match as Mustafa Ali defends against Dolph Ziggler and Angel Garza!
Michael Cole: We will see three Queen of the Ring first-round matches. Tamina takes on Natalya, Taynara Conti takes on Raquel Gonzalez and Chelsea Green takes on Xia Li!
Elias: We find out the next number one contender for the United States title as Tyler Breeze fights Noam Dar.
Michael Cole: The World tag team titles are on the line as the Ungovernables against The Good Brothers.
Elias: Oney Lorcan takes on Drew Gulak!
Michael Cole: And Marina Shafir fights Mandy Rose as well.
Elias: But we will be starting the show with Ronda Rousey taking on Kairi Sane!
*THE NEXT VOYAGE*
A loud pop from the live crowd as KAIRI SANE walks out with her signature smile on her face and one of the WWE Women’s tag team titles around her waist. BAYLEY comes out and shares a hug with her tag team partner before heading over to the commentary desk joining Michael Cole and Elias.
Michael Cole: Bayley, welcome to the commentary booth.
Bayley: Thanks Michael it is good to be here. Elias, have you got any new songs for me?
Elias: Working on the new album Bayley!
Michael Cole: Bayley, what are your thoughts on Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler?
Bayley: Those two remind me of bullies. I mean who tries to attack someone who is pregnant? What kind of scum would do that?
Elias: I have to agree with Bayley. That is a low act by The Real Horsewomen.
Bayley: No no. This ain’t MMA or the UFC. This is the WWE! We are the Horsewomen. Myself, Becky…
Bayley pauses for a moment but swallows her pride and says it.
Bayley: Even Charlotte and Sasha Banks! We are the Horsewomen not them.
She flashes the four as we can see Kairi standing in the ring ready for action as…
*BAD REPUTATION*
Loud boos from the crowd as RONDA ROUSEY marches out with a scowl on her face as she marches down the entrance ramp and heads straight for Kairi Sane in the ring. SHAYNA BASZLER slowly walks out with the Money in the Bank briefcase in her hands as she sits next to the commentary team Bayley glares at her. Shayna just smirks in response.
Michael Cole: Welcome to the commentary…
Shayna Baszler: Quiet Michael, I’m here to speak to Bayley.
Bayley rolls her eyes as Shayna carries on.
Shayna Baszler: Bayley, I heard a little of what you had to say and I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
Bayley: I can repeat it again if you want.
Shayna condescendingly chuckles.
Shayna Baszler: Bayley, one of you is already gone. And after Queen of the Ring, you’ll be gone next!
The two carry on their arguments on commentary before we cut to the ring as Ronda Rousey and Kairi Sane are ready for the match to begin as the referee calls the bell to get things underway!
Match 1: Ronda Rousey vs Kairi Sane
Match summary: Ronda in the opening moments of the match taunts Kairi and even offers her the first shot so KAIRI ROCKS HER WITH A SERIES OF CHOPS! Ronda is caught off-guard by the Pirate Princess who lays into Ronda Rousey in a hard fashion and forces Ronda outside the ring. Kairi though follows it up by running the ropes and connects with a SUICIDE DIVE! On commentary Bayley points out how good Kairi is but Shayna dismisses Bayley telling her Ronda is toying with her.
Ronda soon turns the tides countering Kairi and starts picking her apart with a variety of submissions, going right after the right arm of Kairi. On commentary, Shayna winds Bayley up and says her best friend is heading to Queen of the Ring with a broken right arm. Bayley though encourages her tag team partner from the commentary desk and says she will fight back. Kairi tries to break out of the hold and even looks like she might escape but Ronda takes her down one more time!
As the match comes to a close Shayna is tormenting Bayley and clearly is starting to wind her up. Bayley does her best to ignore Shayna but is clearly bothered by the threats to Kairi and Becky (even though Becky is at home). In the ring, Kairi has made a mini-comeback but the damage to her arm is too much and when she misses the IN-SANE ELBOW CRASHING ON IT RONDA POUNCES HITTING THE PIPER’S PIT! Ronda hooks the leg and presses on the bad arm so Kairi can’t kick out giving her the win!
Winner via pinfall: Ronda Rousey (11:26)
Boos from the live crowd as Ronda Rousey gets to her feet and trash talks the crowd as Kairi in the ring clutches her right arm.
Michael Cole: Ronda Rousey picks up the win…
Shayna Baszler: Sign of what’s to come at Queen of the Ring. I’ll send you packing like we sent Becky pack…
BAYLEY HAS HAD ENOUGH AND JUMPS OVER MICHAEL COLE AND ELIAS LAYING INTO SHAYNA WITH A SERIES OF PUNCHES! The two women are brawling on commentary whilst Ronda Rousey in the ring sees what is happening at the top of the entrance ramp and leaves the ring. Bayley looks like she is about to win out the brawl as RONDA CONNECTS WITH A NORTHERN LARIAT! Boos from the crowd as Ronda and Shayna now double-team Bayley before SLAMMING HER DOWN WITH A DUAL POWERBOMB ONTO THE COMMENTARY DESK! It doesn’t break as Bayley slides off and as the Real Horsewomen go to do more damage, security comes out stopping them!
Michael Cole: The Real Horsewomen standing tall tonight.
Elias: Ronda picked apart Kairi Sane and took her down before they double-teamed Bayley by our commentary desk.
Michael Cole: This is the biggest challenge the Hugging Pirates have faced since they became tag team champions.
Elias: We shall see but when we return from the commercial break we are going to hear from MVP and the rest of The Hurt Business! Don’t go anywhere.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When we return from the commercial break, we can see RENEE YOUNG standing backstage with a microphone in hand ready for an interview.
Renee Young: Welcome back to Raw and right now, I have the leader of one of the hottest groups on Raw: MVP!
MVP walks into the shot flanked by ISAIAH “SWERVE” SCOTT and LIO RUSH with Swerve smiling whilst Lio Rush has a frown looking unimpressed.
Renee Young: MVP, we saw last week that Samoa Joe was watching your boys compete and seemed impressed. What were your thoughts on their performance?
MVP smiles looking at Swerve.
MVP: It was a good win and a dominant performance…
MVP turns to Lio Rush.
MVP: But we still have work to do if we are going to take over this brand.
MVP turns back around as Lio rolls his eyes but Swerve nudges him to get him back in line.
Renee Young: Do you think the performance impressed Samoa Joe enough for him to join the Hurt Business?
MVP smirks smugly.
MVP: Joe is a smart man, Renee. He’ll make the right decision soon because we are The Hurt Business…
Swerve leans forward.
Isaiah “Swerve” Scott: And business is booming!
A toothy grin appears on the face of Swerve as MVP smiles whilst Lio nods and the group heads off elsewhere as we cut back to the commentary team adjacent to the ramp.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Cole: MVP is looking to grow his empire.
Elias: Samoa Joe might be the crown jewel the Hurt Business needs to get to the top of Monday Night Raw.
*SKY’S THE LIMIT (REMIX)*
A mixed reaction from the live crowd but still leaning towards boos as SASHA BANKS makes her way out to the ring. She has a cocky smirk on her face as she has her shutter shades on and taunts the fans as she walks past them.
Michael Cole: Well it’s Boss Time!
Elias: In last week’s main event, Sasha Banks qualified for the last sixteen of the Queen of the Ring tournament.
Michael Cole: And we will find out who she will face next week when Sarah Logan takes on Mercedes Martinez on Smackdown!
Elias: But right now, Sasha has something to say!
Sasha in the ring has a smirk on her face as she stands in the middle of the ring and puts the shades onto the top of her head before addressing the live crowd.
Sasha Banks: Was last week ever in doubt?
A mixed reaction from the crowd with some Bliss fans in the crowd but Sasha shakes her head dismissively.
Sasha Banks: Alexa Bliss at one point was a top star like me. Now? She ain’t on my level.
Ouch. Shots fired at Alexa.
Sasha Banks: But really who is on my level?
Sasha is feeling herself as per usual as she walks around the ring.
Sasha Banks: There is no one in this company better than me. Male or female.
Sasha pauses for a second wagging her finger.
Sasha Banks: No no, let's stop there. There is no past, present or future better than me!
Sasha’s arrogance is turning the ones cheering into boos as she scoffs at the boos.
Sasha Banks: Hate it all you want but the heroes I looked up? I’ve surpassed them.
A bold claim from The Legit Boss.
Sasha Banks: Eddie Guerrero…
Loud cheers from the crowd.
Sasha Banks: And Trish Stratus.
Also getting a loud cheer from the crowd as the commentary team reminds us, she will be appearing with Lita on this week’s Smackdown Live.
Sasha Banks: There is a reason Trish is going to Smackdown and not coming to Raw… she knows where the real Boss lives.
A few oooohs from the live crowd as Banks smirks to herself.
Sasha Banks: But I’m not here to talk about legends from the past when I am the only legend in the modern day that matters! Because I am about to do what I always do. Make history.
Commentary put over her achievements within the WWE.
Sasha Banks: No one is more fitting to be the first Queen of the Ring than me. Ever since I came to WWE, this ring has been my queendom!
Sasha points at the mat and is fired up before carrying on.
Sasha Banks: On Smackdown Sarah Logan is taking on Mercedes Martinez and the two women are fighting for the honor to lose to me.
Sasha points herself as her ego knows no bounds tonight.
Sasha Banks: I mean Sarah Logan, how many did I fight the Riott Squad and beat them? I think I’ve lost count.
Sasha laughs to herself before getting a little serious.
Sasha Banks: Mercedes Martinez. Now that is a name I grew admiring.
The crowd goes a bit quiet as Sasha looks at them with disdain.
Sasha Banks: I mean you fan wouldn’t be smart enough to know this but she went up and down the country kicking ass!
Cheap heat works as Elias joins in on commentary putting Mercedes Martinez over.
Sasha Banks: She was someone I always want to fight.
Sasha smiles for a moment before looking at the camera.
Sasha Banks: But I surpassed her long ago. It doesn’t matter who I face next week on Raw because all that is inevitable is, me winning Queen of the Ring!
Sasha throws the microphone down having sent a statement of intent to the entire Queen of the Ring tournament whilst the crowd boos the Legit Boss.
Michael Cole: Strong words from Sasha Banks ahead of the Queen of the Ring tournament.
Elias: And a clear message sent to whoever wins on Smackdown this Friday.
Michael Cole: All eyes will be on that match but when we return from the commercial break we will see Tamina take on Natalya in a first-round match! Don’t go anywhere!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ad break
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*WHAT YOU THINK?*
Very little reaction from the live crowd as TAMINA makes her way out to the ring with a scowl on her face, heading down the ramp with a purpose.
Michael Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw and right now we are about to see two veterans of the Women’s compete for a place in the last sixteen against Beth Phoenix.
Elias: Let’s hear what Tamina had to say ahead of this match.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We see TAMINA standing in front of a metal chain-link fence as she mean-mugs the camera before speaking.
Tamina: Ten years I’ve been in the WWE. Ten years and nothing to show for it.
Tamina shakes her head and looks absolutely furious.
Tamina: Not a single title since coming to WWE. Not a single accolade. Well, that ends soon!
She looks fired up as she stares at the camera.
Tamina: I’m a second-generation superstar and that comes with a right to be at the top of the business. The Women’s Universal title will be mine.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The short promo comes to an end with Tamina in the ring looking angry and mean-mugging the camera because no one is meaner than Tamina!
*NEW FOUNDATION*
A decent pop from the live crowd as NATALYA walks out with a smile on her face. She smiles and waves at the crowd before heading down the ramp ready for action in the first-round match.
Michael Cole: Natalya like Tamina is a veteran of this Women’s division but unlike Tamina, she has been a champion before.
Elias: Twice Michael. Natalya has the experience to win the Queen of the Ring tournament. Let’s hear what the Queen of Harts had to say ahead of tonight’s match.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut to the back and we can see NATALYA in gym gear in what looks like a similar setup to the old Hart Dungeon. She is noticeably a bit sweaty having been working out and training as she looks at the camera.
Natalya: I know a lot of you know this already but I’m a third-generation superstar and the only female to graduate from the Hart family dungeon.
I’m not sure she’s ever mentioned it.
Natalya: And with that, comes a lot of pressure to be the best.
She smiles.
Natalya: And I haven’t always handled that in the best way.
Nattie stops for a moment thinking about her past before carrying on.
Natalya: But now I have a chance to match my fellow icons within the Hart Family’s achievements by becoming the first-ever Queen of the Ring.
We see clips appear on the screen showing Bret Hart and Owen Hart’s King of the Ring victories.
Natalya: The Queen of Harts becoming the Queen of the Ring? It’s almost as if I was born for this.
A bit cocky from Natalya as she smiles before walking off as she brings the short promo to an end.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back in the ring, we can now see Natalya and Tamina staring each other down as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!
Match 2: Queen of the Ring 1st Round match: Tamina vs Natalya
Match summary: Both women put on a decent performance with Tamina getting more time than normal in this match as two of the mainstays of the division for the last decade go head to head. Tamina tries to use her power to overwhelm Natalya but the Queen of Harts slowly grinds down Tamina working over her before locking in the SHARPSHOOTER GETTING THE TAP OUT WIN!
Winner via submission: Natalya (6:34)
A decent pop from the live crowd as Natalya gets back to her feet celebrating the win tonight and advancing to the last 16. Tamina meanwhile rolls out of the ring clearly angry with the loss tonight.
Michael Cole: Natalya advances to the second round and keeps the dreams of adding the Queen of the Ring tournament to the Hart Family legacy!
Elias: An impressive performance over fellow veterans in Tamina who gave her a couple of close scares.
Michael Cole: But it now means we will see The Divas of Doom collide as Natalya will take on Beth Phoenix in the last sixteen.
Elias: And I’m getting word from Charly Caruso that she has Beth with her right now to get her thoughts!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut backstage and we see BETH PHOENIX standing next to CHARLY CARUSO ready for an interview.
Charly Caruso: Beth, as we just saw your best friend and tag team partner Natalya will be facing you in the last sixteen of the Queen of the Ring tournament. How do you feel knowing you will have to beat your best friend to advance?
Beth nods with a slightly sad smile.
Beth Phoenix: It’s never fun having to fight the people care about but if that is what I’m going to have to do to be a Women’s Champion one final time…
She pauses for a moment before smiling.
Beth Phoenix: Then I will have to break the Queen of Harts because this might be my last chance to be a champion again and I refuse to let it slip.
Beth walks off bringing the interview to an end as we cut to a commercial break.

*COMBATIVE*
We return from the commercial break to see ONEY LORCAN marching to the ring with a scowl on his face. He ignores the fans stepping into the ring and lifts his finger in the air ready for a fight tonight.
Michael Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw and right now we are going to see Oney Lorcan in action against Drew Gulak.
Elias: This rivalry has been bubbling under the surface for the last couple of months but tonight will be the end of this.
*FOR THE BETTER*
Cheers from the crowd as DREW GULAK walks to the ring and he has been warming himself up to the fans over the last few weeks. He looks focused as he points at the ring promising to make Oney pay tonight.
Michael Cole: Drew Gulak asked for this match alone with Oney and he has got it tonight.
Elias: Last time they met one Raw, Danny Burch cost Drew the match and gave the win to Oney.
Drew steps into the ring standing across from Oney Lorcan as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!
Match 3: Oney Lorcan vs Drew Gulak
Match summary: Oney Lorcan and Drew Gulak put on a very fun sprint with both men showing off their strikes and submissions trying to take each other down. Oney especially is hammering away with a series of hard strikes and forearms to the head. However, in the closing stages of the match Drew starts to target the right arm of Oney Lorcan and takes him down to the mat locking in an ARMBAR! Oney tries to escape from the hold but he can’t do it and TAPS OUT!
Winner via submission: Drew Gulak (5:05)
A decent pop from the live crowd as Drew Gulak gets to his feet and picks up another win within the Cruiserweight division.
Michael Cole: Drew Gulak picks up the win and holds wins in the singles division now over both members of the One Twos.
Elias: Drew is in form and after tonight’s Cruiserweight title match, he might be next in line for a title shot.
Drew Gulak is still celebrating the victory in the ring whilst Oney angrily clutches his arm as we cut to the backstage area…
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And we can see DOLPH ZIGGLER getting ready for tonight’s main event in the backstage area. As he is preparing, he is approached by Renee Young looking for an interview.
Renee Young: Dolph, in tonight’s main event you get a second chance at the Cruiserweight title in a triple threat match. How are you feeling?
Ziggler takes a moment before nodding.
Dolph Ziggler: I’m looking forward to it. At Wrestlemania, I was too focused on it being my first-ever one-on-one match at the biggest show of them all.
He shakes his head.
Dolph Ziggler: Tonight all I care about is getting my hands on the Cruiserweight title and proving I’m still the show stealer I always was!
Renee Young: What are your thoughts about having to fight in a triple-threat match and knowing you could not be involved in the decision yet still lose?
Dolph has a pensive look.
Dolph Ziggler: It’s something I’m not happy about. I wanted my title rematch to be one on one with Mustafa.
He sticks his arms out shrugging.
Dolph Ziggler: But you can’t expect to always get what you want in WWE. If becoming Cruiserweight champion means beating Angel Garza too, then that is what I will do tonight.
Renee Young: Thanks for your time Dolph.
Dolph nods and goes back to getting ready for the main event as we cut elsewhere backstage…
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And we can see THE GOOD BROTHERS are shown walking to the ring!
Michael Cole: Well up next we are going to see the World tag team titles on the line as The Ungovernables defend their titles against The Good Brothers! Don’t go anywhere!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ad break
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*OMEN IN THE SKY*
Boos from the crowd as we return from the commercial break and see THE GOOD BROTHERS walking down the entrance ramp. KARL ANDERSON and LUKE GALLOWS two sweet each other before taunting the crowd. However, a few of the fans do a two-sweet with the challengers on the way to the ring.
Michael Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw and right now, the tag team titles are going to be on the line.
Elias: The Good Brothers are two-time tag team champions and will be looking to make that three-time tonight.
Michael Cole: We know their close friend AJ has been suffering some tough losses. Maybe them winning tonight shows him the way to get back on track.
Elias: But would another loss further prove AJ right and The Club needs a reset?
*COAT OF ARMS*
The tag team champions make their way out next also getting boos from the live crowd. THE UNGOVERNABLES are noticeably without their manager Zelina Vega as they walk to the ring. ILJA DRAGUNOV sprints down the entrance ramp whilst CESARO takes his time assessing the situation.
Michael Cole: The tag team champions were able to see off The Usos at Wrestlemania and Backlash proving that they are here to stay at the top of the division.
Elias: Cesaro is what is known as a tag team specialist. You put him with a capable partner and you can pretty much guarantee a tag team title!
Michael Cole: He has won gold with several partners including Sheamus.
Elias: We have seen some tension between the former tag team partners in the past few weeks. Will that distract Cesaro tonight?
Once in the ring, Cesaro starts the match for his team whilst Karl Anderson starts for the Good Brothers and the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway!
Match 4: World tag team titles match: The Ungovernables © vs The Good Brothers
Match summary: In the opening minute, Cesaro and Karl Anderson are fairly evenly matched with Cesaro starting to take control with his power. Anderson uses his brain though to get to the ropes and tags in Luke Gallows. Cesaro also tags out and Ilja comes into the ring showing off his fast-paced offense and hard strikes. Gallows greatly struggles to keep up with the Mad Russian as the champions are in control in the early stages of this heel vs heel match-up.
As the match goes along the Good Brothers start to come back and use their tag team experience to try to isolate the Mad Russian from Cesaro. However, he keeps alive and no matter what the Good Brothers do they can’t finish him off which eventually allows Ilja to escape from them and makes it to the corner of the ring making the tag, bringing in CESARO FOR THE HOT TAG! Cesaro runs into the ring like a house on fire and shows why he is one of the best hot tags in modern wrestling.
Gallows and Anderson try to attack him at the same time but that just allows Cesaro to show off his power hitting them with an AIRPLANE SPIN/CESARO SWING COMBO! The crowd goes wild for the unique offense as Cesaro drops Gallows to the mat and tosses Anderson over the ropes. Cesaro tags Ilja into the ring and lines up Luke Gallows hitting him with TORPEDO MOSCOW! Ilja makes the cover whilst Cesaro makes sure Anderson stays out of the ring and the tag team champions retain!
Winners via pinfall and still World tag team champions: The Ungovernables (10:50)
A decent pop from the live crowd who choose to get behind The Ungovernables during the match. Cesaro joins Ilja in the ring as they raise their hands in the air after another successful title defense.
Michael Cole: The Ungovernables pick up the win and an impressive performance by the champions.
Elias: Especially by Cesaro. Did you see that airplane spin and Cesaro swing combo he pulled off?
Michael Cole: I don’t think there is a single person on the planet who can master Cesaro pound-for-pound strength-wise.
Elias: And that means The Ungovernables are a step closer to taking over Monday Night Raw.
The celebrations in the ring carry on whilst The Good Brothers head up the ramp licking their wounds as we cut to a commercial break.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When we return from the commercial break, we can see CESARO and ILJA DRAGUNOV making their way through the back with their tag team titles over their shoulders. They seem to be in good spirits as they walk through the back but they soon look annoyed as SHEAMUS walks into the shot clapping sarcastically!
Sheamus: Good job Cesaro.
Sheamus then looks at Ilja dismissively.
Sheamus: You too I guess.
Ilja looks annoyed as Cesaro steps forward confronting Sheamus clearly not in the mood for this.
Cesaro: Listen Sheamus, I ain’t got time for this. We have a win to go celebrate and business to take care of.
Sheamus shakes his head.
Sheamus: Hey I was just giving you two credit. You both did a good job out there.
He points at Cesaro.
Sheamus: I mean it was mostly Cesaro who got the job done. Now when it was us…
Ilja steps forward clearly wound up.
Ilja Dragunov: Enough talk.
Sheamus stops looking at the Mad Russian.
Ilja Dragunov: You disrespect him. You disrespect me. You disrespect the Ungovernables. No more.
Sheamus: And how do you intend to stop me?
Ilja looks ready to throw hands but Cesaro steps in between them stopping a fight from breaking out.
Cesaro: OK that is enough. Sheamus this needs to stop.
Cesaro turns to Ilja.
Cesaro: Let’s…
Ilja Dragunov: No. I want to fight him next week.
Sheamus shrugs.
Sheamus: Fine by me fella. I’ll show Cesaro what he used to have when he teamed with me.
Sheamus walks off before stopping.
Sheamus: Because right now, he has a group of friends who act like cowards.
Ilja is clearly provoked by that line but Cesaro once again keeps the peace. He looks at Ilja and says something In German which prompts a headshake from his tag team partner as we cut back to the commentary team.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Cole: Well it looks like Sheamus isn’t dropping his issues with Cesaro being a part of the Ungovernables.
Elias: Sheamus clearly feels his friend doesn’t belong in that group and has more honor than the rest of them.
Michael Cole: Well we saw first-hand that Cesaro can get the job done the right way without help from Zelina.
Elias: And that’s what annoys Sheamus. He knows how good his former partner is. He knows he doesn’t need The Ungovernables.
*THE RISING*
Massive boos from the live crowd as THE CHURCH OF SETH ROLLINS make their way out led by their leader SETH ROLLINS! He is in a white suit and has a black glove on his right hand. He looks angry as he looks at the crowd but he still leads his disciples (THE AUTHORS OF PAIN AND AIDEN ENGLISH) to the ring ready to speak.
Michael Cole: Speaking of annoyance, we are now forced to listen to Seth Rollins once again!
Elias: I can’t wait till I’m cleared to compete again so I can punch him in the jaw!
Michael Cole: Be that as it may, last week saw the return of Curt Hawkins as he and his tag team partner Zack Ryder helped Edge and Big Show fend off The Church of Seth Rollins from another attack.
Elias: And we know Seth can’t stand being shown up by anyone.
The Church are all standing in the ring with Seth Rollins standing in front of his three disciples with a microphone in his right hand as he gets ready to speak to the live crowd.
Seth Rollins: Last week… we saw firsthand the effects of brainwashing!
Seth lifts his left arm into the air pointing towards the sky.
Seth Rollins: Two men Edge had manipulated years ago, used for his own bidding and they still show loyalty to him!
Loud boos as Seth looks at the crowd with total disgust.
Seth Rollins: I wouldn’t expect people in Kentucky to be smart enough to see through the brainwashing either!
And the cheap heat makes the loud boos even louder from the live crowd.
Seth Rollins: He had them fooled just like he has all of you fooled!
Seth points at the crowd as behind him we can see Aiden English nodding along with his leader and The Authors of Pain remaining silent but stoic.
Seth Rollins: But I saw the damage he does to people! I saw the light and that you people were beyond saving!
Cheap heat but very loud boos for Seth taunting the fans.
Seth Rollins: Now I focus my time on the people worthy of being saved!
He points at the disciples. Aiden English nods thanking Seth whilst the Authors of Pain remain silent.
Seth Rollins: And cleansing the roster of those who cannot be saved from themselves.
Seth turns back to the crowd with a look of disgust.
Seth Rollins: We started with The Street Profits!
A pop for the mention of the popular tag team as Seth scowls at the fans cheering.
Seth Rollins: Yeah cheer for them all you want because we made sure they are gone!
And back to loud boos.
Seth Rollins: I could have saved Montez. I could have saved Angelo.
Seth shakes his head.
Seth Rollins: But Edge got to them and corrupted them before I could save them.
Seth looks at his left hand almost disappointed?
Seth Rollins: But anyone else? I will save them and if you are willing Ryder and Hawkins I am happy to save you.
Seth sticks his arms out in a Jesus-like pose. He is about to carry on his promo but then…
*METALINGUS*
A massive pop from the crowd as EDGE walks out with a microphone in hand. He isn’t alone as BIG SHOW, ZACK RYDER and CURT HAWKINS join him at the top of the entrance ramp. Seth looks furious to have been interrupted as Akam goes forward to fight but Seth stops him for now.
Edge: Seth, it is truly amazing how you have convinced yourself you are some kind of prophet.
Seth Rollins: I’m not a prophet, I’m a savior. I will save their careers and I will soon save even more!
The boos get louder for Seth as Edge remains fired up.
Edge: Seth, somehow you’ve managed to become even more of an asshole than I used to be!
A loud pop from the live crowd for that line as Edge carries on.
Edge: Ryder and Hawkins choose to help me off their own backs. It had nothing to do with me.
Ryder asks for the microphone which Edge gives him as he steps forward looking to speak.
Zack Ryder: Bro, this guy is literally insane.
Edge nods next to him as Seth gets angry.
Seth Rollins: No I’m the only sane one here.
Zack shakes his head.
Zack Ryder: Insane people usually think that bro. I read it in a book that Curt got me.
Curt in the background off-mic shouts “it was a good book”.
Zack Ryder: We are loyal to Edge because he gave us a chance when no one else would. He got us in the door and he is the reason we won the tag team titles the first time.
Zack passes the microphone to Curt Hawkins who looks to speak next.
Curt Hawkins: It’s time to face the facts, Seth. You don’t care about saving people, you’re just mad the Street Profits preferred Edge to you.
Seth looks furious in the ring and ready to explode as Big Show asks for the microphone.
Big Show: Now I don’t know about you but I think there has been enough talk. I’m ready to fight.
Loud cheers from the crowd as the group of faces walk down the entrance ramp and head to the ring… BUT SETH SENDS HIS CHURCH OUT OF THE RING AND THROUGH THE CROWD RETREATING TO BOOS FROM THE FANS! Seth still has the microphone in hand though as he speaks next to the booing fans.
Seth Rollins: The Church does things on our terms, not yours. If you want a fight and for us to destroy more of your so-called friends? Next week we are challenging you to a tornado tag match!
A decent pop from the live crowd as Edge has the microphone once again and speaks for the group.
Edge: You are on! But only if its falls count anywhere!
A louder pop for that line as Edge looks at Seth with a ton of anger in his eyes.
Edge: Because I will beat your ass any place, any time, anywhere until I put you down for good!
Edge slams the microphone down and stands in the ring glaring at Seth Rollins who glares back at his rival.
Michael Cole: Well this war between Edge and The Chruch of Seth Rollins is escalating!
Elias: We are still waiting to get word from Adam Pearce but a big challenge for next week’s show.
Michael Cole: We know how chaotic falls count anywhere matches can be, let alone with eight people involved.
Elias: Indeed but after the commercial break, we will see another Queen of the Ring first-round match as Taynara Conti takes on Raquel Gonzalez. Don’t go anywhere!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw and we’ve just got official confirmation from Adam Pearce.
Elias: On next week’s Raw, we will see Ilja Dragunov go one on one with Sheamus!
Michael Cole: And we will also see The Church of Seth Rollins take on Edge, Big Show, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins in an eight-man tornado tag falls count anywhere match!
Elias: An action-packed show is already in store for next week!
Boos from the crowd as RAQUEL GONZALEZ from NXT walks out and for the first time since she has started to appear on these shows, she is without Robert Stone and the rest of the brand! She looks focused as she wrings her hand before stepping over the ropes into the ring.
Michael Cole: Raquel Gonzalez is still very new to wrestling but she has all the potential to be a future Women’s Champion.
Elias: And she has a chance to realize that potential in this tournament.
Michael Cole: That is right Elias. Let’s hear what she had to say ahead of this match.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut to the backstage area and we can see RAQUEL GONZALEZ standing behind ROBERT STONE as he speaks on her behalf.
Robert Stone: Tonight, begins the takeover of the Robert Stone Brand. Tonight we show the world that my brand has the best clients in the business.
Raquel just silently nods as Robert carries on his gloating.
Robert Stone: Raquel’s power will destroy Taynara Conti and eliminate her from this tournament.
Gonzalez stays silent as Robert carries on.
Robert Stone: Then in the next round when she faces Chelsea after she beats Xia Li…
Before Robert can speak, Raquel steps forward towering over Robert and slightly intimidating him.
Raquel Gonzalez: I will beat her too.
Raquel walks off and heads towards the ring bringing the promo to a close as we cut back to the ring.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut back to the ring as we can see Raquel Gonzalez cutting an imposing presence in the ring as she waits for…
*SHAKE SHAKE*
A fairly loud pop from the fans as TAYNARA CONTI walks out with a Brazilian flag themed outside and a smile on her face. She slaps hands with the fans in the crowd, looking fired up on the way to the ring.
Elias: Taynara is seen by a lot of people as a dark horse for this tournament due to her recent performances.
Michael Cole: Overcoming Sasha Banks in a street fight and making the final four in the Royal Rumble. It feels like she is this close to breaking through.
Elias: Let’s see what Taynara had to say ahead of this match!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We see TAYNARA CONTI hanging out backstage in a judo outfit clearly practicing some of her skills ahead of tonight’s match. She turns to the camera with a smile.
Taynara Conti: These last few months, have been the best few of my career so far.
She smiles clearly feeling proud of herself.
Taynara Conti: I pulled off some of the biggest wins of my career and proved I belong at the top of the Women’s division.
She pulls the belt on her judo attire as she stares defiantly at the camera.
Taynara Conti: And now I have the chance to get my hand on gold for the first time ever in my career.
Conti smiles at the possibility of becoming Women’s Universal Champion.
Taynara Conti: Raquel, I’ve seen you on NXT and even at Backlash. You have potential. You are me from this time last year.
Conti showing a lot of respect to her opponent tonight.
Taynara Conti: But I’ve got the experience edge and I know what it’s like to be in your spot. You will get another chance, Raquel…
Taynara smirks to herself.
Taynara Conti: But this, is my chance and I’m taking it.
Taynara Conti walks off bringing the promo to a close as we cut back to the ring…
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Where we can see Taynara Conti in the ring staring down Raquel who towers over her. Conti though doesn’t back down as the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway.
Match 5: Queen of the Ring 1st Round match: Raquel Gonzalez vs Taynara Conti
Match summary: Early on in the match, Gonzalez’s power is shown in full effect. She tosses Conti around the ring with relative ease and really controls the match, with Conti having to take a break in the middle of the match. Raquel though refuses to let her rest, stalking her on the outside and lays into her with a series of big boots. However, Conti uses this to turn the tables and counters a big boot into a DRAGON SCREW LEG WHIP ON THE OUTSIDE! Conti slides back into the ring happy to take a countout win if it comes to her but Raquel slides back in time to break the count!
Conti starts to go after the leg of Raquel and wears her down during the match but Raquel each time breaks out overpowering Conti and tosses her across the ring! Conti gets clattered with a series of blows and Raquel gets her up for the signature ONE-HANDED POWERBOMB… BUT CONTI COUNTERS WITH THE DD-TAY! Conti though due to the damage done throughout the match can’t make the cover straight away laying next to Raquel.
She grabs hold of the wrist of Raquel and gets her ready to go for the BRAZILIAN KICK… RAQUEL COUNTERS WITH A MASSIVE SPINEBUSTER! Taynara winces in pain as an angry Raquel holds her head before grabbing hold of Conti looking to finish this… CONTI COUNTERS INTO THE TAYLOCK (Modified Octopus hold)! Raquel tries to power out of the hold but Conti wraps her whole body around tight. Even after one last attempt Raquel can’t do it and collapses to the mat! The ref lifts her arm three times and it drops each time giving Conti the win!
Winner via pinfall: Taynara Conti (9:49)
A loud pop from the live crowd as Conti rolls away from Gonzalez and sells her ribs having been put through the wringer by Raquel tonight. The giantess meanwhile stays on the mat out cold having passed out whilst in the Taylock.
Michael Cole: Taynara Conti picks up the win but my god, she had to earn it tonight.
Elias: Raquel Gonzalez once again impressed in action on Monday Night Raw and I think she will be a future Women’s Champion down the line.
Michael Cole: But for now the hopes of the Robert Stone Brand during this tournament rest on the shoulders of Chelsea Green.
Elias: Whoever wins between Chelsea Green and Xia Li will face Taynara in the last sixteen in two weeks. Conti could be taking on her tag team partner Xia Li in the next round.
Back in the ring, Taynara is carrying on her celebrations, still struggling and feeling the effects of this match. Raquel gets back to her feet slowly and has a staredown with Conti. The two women look at each other for several moments before CONTI OFFERS RAQUEL A HANDSHAKE! Raquel takes a moment as she looks at the outstretched arm of Conti as she thinks about it… BUT WALKS OFF TO BOOS FROM THE CROWD! Conti looks a little disappointed but shrugs and returns to celebrate the victory as we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see ANGEL GARZA on the phone with someone. He soon hangs up the phone as CHARLY CARUSO approaches him looking for an interview.
Charly Caruso: Angel, tonight you compete for the Cruiserweight title in tonight’s main event. How are you feeling ahead of it? Are you under pressure?
Angel smirks in a flirty way as he looks at Charly.
Angel Garza: Charly, my girl. I always perform under pressure.
Charly can’t help but blush as the Latino lothario carries on.
Angel Garza: Tonight I get a piece of gold around my waist that I should have won two weeks ago.
Charly Caruso: Speaking of what happened two weeks ago, it won’t be a singles match like Backlash. Instead, it will be a triple threat with Dolph involved as well. Does that not concern you?
Angel shakes his head.
Angel Garza: No no. I have him right where I can see him. I can keep an eye on the sneak and kick his ass as well as Ali’s!
Charly Caruso: One last question, we know that Zelina Vega is banned from ringside as well as the rest of the Ungovernables. Does that affect your plans?
Angel shakes his head.
Angel Garza: I don’t need them to win. And I always have a girl in every city.
Angel winks before giving his rose to Charly who once again can’t help but blush as we cut back to the commentary team adjacent to the entrance ramp.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Cole: Well it sounds like Angel Garza is confident of winning tonight.
Elias: He always is. The only thing he has more confidence in than his ability to win is his ability to seduce any lady.
Boos from the crowd as MARINA SHAFIR walks out to the ring ready for action. She is also flanked by her tag team partner JESSAMYN DUKE. She winds up the crowd getting the boos even louder.
Michael Cole: Last week Mandy Rose issued the challenge for either Duke or Shafir to accept and we are going to see Shafir in action tonight.
Elias: Shafir has proven to be a problem for several in the Women’s division and Mandy could be in for a rough night if she is not careful.
*GOLDEN GODDESS*
A small pop from the live crowd as MANDY ROSE makes her way out. She is fired up as she runs down the entrance ramp and heads straight for the ring!
Michael Cole: Mandy Rose is fighting tonight in honor of her tag team partner Sonya Deville who was taken out by the Real Horsewomen.
Elias: But she will need to be careful. She is two nights away from taking on Deonna Purrazzo on NXT in the first round of the Queen of the Ring.
Michael Cole: The last thing she will want is an injury going into that match.
Elias: Marina Shafir is capable of tearing a limb out of the socket easily.
Mandy Rose is in the ring as Marina talks a bunch of trash before the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway.
Match 6: Marina Shafir w/Jessamyn Duke vs Mandy Rose
Match summary: Mandy is aggressive right from the start, hammering Marina with a series of hard punches to the head. Marina gets back into it thanks to a well-timed trip from Duke. Marina works over Mandy but the Golden Goddess catches her out of nowhere with KISS THE ROSE! Mandy makes the cover and picks up the win!
Winner via pinfall: Mandy Rose (3:31)
Cheers from the live crowd as Mandy Rose picks up the win over Marina Shafir and in a quick fashion as well!
Michael Cole: Mandy with the win and gains momentum ahead of her first-round match against Deonna Purrazzo!
Elias: And that is going to be key… hang on Michael.
As Elias is speaking we see Jessamyn Duke slide into the ring and tries to attack Mandy… but the Golden Goddess is ready for it and HITS KISS THE ROSE ON DUKE TOO! Mandy stands tall over The Real Horsewomen goons with a smile on her face as the crowd cheers her on.
Michael Cole: Mandy sending a clear message that she is not to be messed with ahead of this Wednesday.
As Mandy celebrates in the ring we cut to a hallway backstage as…

*ELITE*
We return to loud cheers from the crowd as the United States Champion CHAD GABLE and his manager KURT ANGLE take a seat on commentary next to Michael Cole and Elias.
Michael Cole: Welcome to the commentary booth guys.
Kurt Angle: Thanks for having us guys.
Elias: Doing a bit of scouting tonight Chad?
Chad Gable: That’s right Elias. I want to see firsthand who my next challenger for this title is!
*#MMMGORGEOUS*
A decent pop from the fans as TYLER BREEZE makes his way out with his selfie stick in hand. He walks over to the commentary desk as well and even does a selfie with the champ before heading to the ring.
Michael Cole: Chad, what do you think of Tyler Breeze as a wrestler?
Chad Gable: Tyler Breeze is someone who I feel has deserved more opportunities for gold in the WWE.
Elias: Yet to win a title in his time within WWE.
Chad Gable: And that makes you even more hungry to finally break the duck.
*WEEKEND ROCKSTAR*
Boos from the crowd as the cocky Scottish Supernova walks out and NOAM DAR makes sure to taunt the fans in the live crowd. Breeze in the ring remains unimpressed by his taunts and cocky attitude.
Michael Cole: Well this man makes sure you know everything he has done. A former Cruiserweight Champion and he is looking to add your title to his list.
Kurt Angle: Noam has a lot of talent. His kneebar is almost as good as the ankle lock/
Chad Gable: Almost.
Kurt Angle: Almost. But his arrogance will cost him in the future if he is not careful.
Elias: He is only twenty-six years of age so he has time to learn from it.
Noam Dar climbs into the ring standing across from Tyler Breeze with a smirk on his face. Breeze though doesn’t react as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!
Match 7: Number one contender’s match for the United States title: Noam Dar vs Tyler Breeze
Match summary: Noam Dar starts the match acting like a cocky prick which Breeze tries to not react to. Angle on commentary mentions that Dar might be focusing too much on taunting Breeze rather than getting the job done. Dar though works out how to push the buttons of Breeze and at one point whilst working over him in a submission, GRABS HIS SELFIE STICK FROM OUTSIDE THE RING AND TAKES ONE TAUNTING BREEZE! Breeze though powers out of the hold and lays into Dar with a series of strikes.
Breeze from here controls the match and gives Dar a beating on the mat. He gets Dar in the corner and just lays into him with punches. The referee has to warn Breeze about his actions and drags him out of the corner telling him off. However, as he does this DAR PULLS THE TURNBUCKLE PAD OFF! He plays possum as Breeze turns around and SENDS HIM INTO THE EXPOSED TURNBUCKLE! Dar then rolls him up 1 2 FEET ON THE ROPES 3! The referee didn’t see it!
Winner via pinfall: Noam Dar (8:22)
Noam Dar gets to his feet and leaves the ring celebrating the victory as Tyler Breeze in the ring slams the mat clearly pissed off with what just happened to him.
Michael Cole: Noam Dar steals the victory!
Kurt Angle: I’ll give him credit. He used his brain and got himself the win.
Chad Gable: I don’t agree with his methods but that’s something we’ll have to keep an eye on.
Elias: Well we will see in two weeks if Noam Dar can defeat Chad Gable for the United States title. We are going to a commercial break but when we come back we will hear from Team Kick! Don’t go anywhere!

When we return from the commercial break, we can see RENEE YOUNG standing ready for an interview.
Renee Young: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw and right now, my guests at this time are Team Kick!
TEAM KICK walks into the shot with both TEGAN NOX and DAKOTA KAI having smiles on their faces.
Renee Young: Tegan, congratulations on your victory last week against Candyfloss.
Tegan has a big smile on her face.
Tegan Nox: Thanks, Renee. Getting to fight someone I know from back home in the UK and beating them to get closer to becoming Women’s Universal Champion? It brings a smile to my face.
Renee Young: In the last sixteen you will face the winner of Nikki Cross and Franky Monet, what are your thoughts about facing one of those two?
Tegan Nox: Nikki Cross is someone we are familiar with during our time as tag team champions. It was fun playing with her.
A smile and nod from Dakota as Tegan carries on.
Tegan Nox: Franky? She is someone who I have seen fight all over the world. She is a talented fighter.
Nox smirks.
Tegan Nox: She’s also a horrible bitch!
Said in her full Welsh accent for the full effect.
Tegan Nox: I’ve heard stories about how she treats people and she is as arrogant as she is good.
Tegan shakes her head.
Tegan Nox: I heard her comment about my injury during the Mae Young Classic! Do you want to make threats? I don’t do threats. I do promises.
Tegan is angry and fired up, something we don’t see often.
Tegan Nox: And I promise, if you make it to the last sixteen I will kick your ass for those comments.
Renee nods as Kai puts her hand on Nox's shoulder supporting her in her comments.
Renee Young: Well now onto your first-round match Dakota as you take on Jinny from NXT UK.
Tegan looks at Dakota with a smirk.
Tegan Nox: Now that is another person who can be described…
Dakota Kai: Oh you’ve already told me before.
The duo shares a laugh as Kai gets slightly more serious as he looks at the camera.
Dakota Kai: You’ve told me how much fun it is kicking her smug ass.
Tegan nods as Kai turns to Renee.
Dakota Kai: And when I beat Jinny, I get to fight Ruby Riott.
Boos from the live crowd as Dakota nods.
Dakota Kai: Ruby I know how good you are. Hell, I think everyone paying attention knows how good you are.
Tegan nods as does Renee both agreeing with that statement.
Dakota Kai: And we’ve seen how close you have come to becoming a champion. So you are used to eating defeat.
Ohhh strong words from the former NXT Women’s Champion.
Dakota Kai: Because I intend on becoming Women’s Universal Champion.
Tegan Nox: You’ll have to go through me to do it.
That prompts a staredown between the two friends who share a smile with each other as the interview comes to a close and we cut back to the commentary team.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Cole: Team Kick are fired up and determined to win this Queen of the Ring tournament.
Elias: We know how good they are as tag team wrestlers but they are proving themselves as singles competitors on Monday Night Raw as well.
Michael Cole: Well we can see them in action on this Wednesday’s NXT but right now we are going to focus on a man competing in next week’s main event.
Elias: Let’s see what Paul Heyman has to say regarding his client ahead of his match with Dominik Dijakovic next week.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut to PAUL HEYMAN sitting down on a chair in a fine suit like always as he holds his hands together and looks at the camera with his signature sinister grin.
Paul Heyman: Ladies and gentlemen, you know what my client can do.
We see clips of Brock Lesnar in action throughout the years destroying people before seeing him on his farm plus some of his hunting exploits.
Paul Heyman: So why would you piss him off?
We next get a recap of The Ungovernables attacking Brock Lesnar on the post-Wrestlemania Raw and sending him off the stage.
Paul Heyman: Maybe you think numbers will give you the edge.
We then see Brock at different points of his career destroying multiple men including the most recent royal rumble and his return to Raw attacking the Ungovernables.
Paul Heyman: No that won’t help. Maybe you think you have gold on your side?
We see clips of the Ungovernables members holding gold before seeing Brock’s multiple title wins.
Paul Heyman: No you haven’t got Brock there. Maybe you have the right tactical guidance to conquer the Beast!
We see clips of the mastermind of the Ungovernables Zelina Vega at ringside and helping her clients to victory.
Paul Heyman: I mean Zelina is second to none… well second to no one but me.
Paul smirks and we see clips of some of his clients over the years including in WCW (So we can ignore the shit ones).
Paul Heyman: But there is one hope for you? Maybe your lead client is smarter than mine.
We see Andrade Cien Almas in action and using his cunning to pick up wins before showing Paul Heyman smirking.
Paul Heyman: Except Brock Lesnar isn’t just the strongest, most dominant competitors this business has seen. No, he is one of the smartest.
Paul has an evil smirk on his face as he carries on.
Paul Heyman: Brock is not just some dumb beast. You don’t achieve what he achieved in his career, the wealth he has achieved without a brain. But that’s a good thing for you Andrade.
Paul puts his hands together as he smirks before we see a clip of Aleister Black appear.
Paul Heyman: See most wrestlers? When they get revenge, they do it stupidly.
He shakes his head whilst still smiling.
Paul Heyman: They don’t think ahead, they just look to hurt you. Brock is so much eviler than that.
Paul has the most wicked smile on his face.
Paul Heyman: No Brock wants to get his revenge in a way that benefits him. Let me ask you a question?
Paul lifts his hand up.
Paul Heyman: Why would Brock cost you the Universal title when that doesn’t benefit him?
Paul chuckles to himself.
Paul Heyman: I mean Brock could cost you that match. Break every bone in your body so you don’t even get to compete… but that doesn’t get Brock his title back!
Paul’s face now turns sinister as he looks at the camera.
Paul Heyman: But if you do manage to beat Aleister Black, then the Beast will not only get his chance at revenge, he will get his gold back.
Paul stands to his feet with a big smile on his face.
Paul Heyman: And he will once again be the reigning defending undisputed Universal Champion… BRROCCCCCCCCK LESNARRRRRRR!
Paul says that with his entire chest and a smile on his face as the promo comes to an end with Raw going to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see THE USOS hanging out in the backstage area talking to one another in the locker room. However, they are soon once again interrupted by Jimmy’s wife NAOMI! She has a smug smirk on her face as she looks at Jey who rolls his eyes.
Naomi: And once again y’all back here instead of getting things done.
Jey shakes his head and gets to his feet.
Jey Uso: I’m sorry. Didn’t know me and Jimmy booked the show.
Naomi: You still don’t get it.
Jey Uso: No I don’t get it and neither does…
Jimmy Uso: Hey Uce. Cool it.
Jimmy turns to Naomi clearly slightly annoyed by his wife but looks to keep the peace.
Jimmy Uso: Honey, don’t you want to focus on your last sixteen match with Piper?
Naomi scoffs.
Naomi: Why would I worry about a rookie?
Jey shakes his head in disbelief as Naomi carries on.
Naomi: I’m a two-time champion. I don’t need to worry about someone who isn’t good enough to leave the UK.
Jimmy steps forward.
Jimmy Uso: Listen, you are my queen and I know you are the best in this Women’s division. You deserve to be the Women’s Universal Champion!
Naomi: Damn right I do!
Jimmy Uso: And we might be in a slump but you know we are the best team in WWE!
Jey Uso: Damn right.
Jimmy Uso: But we don’t get cocky. We know it won’t always be our time but we will get back to the top.
Naomi dismissively shakes her head.
Naomi: That’s where you are wrong. You ain’t believing in yourself because no one should be taking out spots. Those are our spots, no one else’s!
Jimmy looks like he is thinking about it whilst Jey clearly disagrees.
Naomi: I’m done showing respect cause it gets me nowhere. Now I’m letting the whole world know how good I am.
Naomi goes to leave but stops before turning to the duo.
Naomi: Just like Roman taught me.
Naomi walks out of the room as Jey looks at Jimmy and mouths “I told you she been talking to Roman” before we cut back to the commentary team.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Cole: Well Naomi might be getting a bit cocky ahead of her last sixteen match with Piper Nevin.
Elias: You do not want to underestimate her. We saw on NXT how quickly she destroyed Billie Kay.
Michael Cole: And I’ve just gotten word, on next week’s Raw we will get to see Piper Nevin in action firsthand as she takes on Tamina!
Elias: Maybe we will see someone meaner than Tamina?
Boos from the live crowd as CHELSEA GREEN of the Robert Stone Brand makes her way out and mocks the live crowd. She is sure to wind them up on the way to the ring and make it clear everything is about her.
Michael Cole: We saw one of Chelsea Green’s tag team partners Raquel Gonzalez lose earlier tonight to Taynara Conti. Chelsea will be looking to get the brand back on track.
Elias: And as always Chelsea Green had something to say. Let’s take a look!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut to CHELSEA GREEN sitting on a beach clearly sunbathing or taking some new photos for her Instagram before she looks at the camera with a smug smirk on her face.
Chelsea Green: Queen of the Ring? I mean when people look at me they already think Queen.
A smug smirk as Chelsea brings her hand up and down to show off her body.
Chelsea Green: There is a reason why I am the face of the Robert Stone Brand. There is no prettier face than mine.
Very arrogant of Chelsea.
Chelsea Green: And there is no better wrestler than me.
Chelsea gets serious as she looks at the camera.
Chelsea Green: I won’t have any tag team partners to let me down in the ring.
Chelsea forgot she was pinned at Backlash…
Chelsea Green: And I will run through the entire field until it is just me left as your Queen of the Ring.
Chelsea lays back down on her towel and goes back to tanning as we cut back to the ring.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut back to the ring as Chelsea Green stands inside and carries on taunting the crowd as she waits for her first-round opponent.
*FORTUNE RISING*
XIA LI makes her way out next getting a decent pop from the crowd. The Chinese superstar slaps the hands of a few fans in the live crowd before heading down the ramp, keeping her eyes on the cocky Chelsea Green.
Michael Cole: Xia Li came to Monday Night Raw with Taynara Conti and with a win tonight she will face her friend in the last 16 of the Queen of the Ring tournament.
Elias: And let’s hear from Xia Li ahead of tonight’s first-round match.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut to the backstage area and we can see XIA LI in her ring gear as she looks at the camera with a stoic expression.
Xia LI: I come with a ton of pressure on my shoulders.
She looks down at the camera nodding to herself for a second.
Xia Li: I’m the first-ever superstar from China to make it to Monday night Raw. First to ever compete in a Royal Rumble.
A lot of firsts in Xia Li’s short career.
Xia Li: And now the first to compete in the Queen of the Ring.
She smiles as she looks at the camera.
Xia Li: I will fight with honor. For my people, for my family. For myself.
Xia looks focused and fired up.
Xia Li: Wǒ jiāng chéngwéi zhǐhuán wánghòu, wǒ huì ràng nǐmen gǎndào jiāo'ào.
Xia Li finishes the promo in mandarin before walking off elsewhere backstage as we cut back to the ring.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xia Li is now standing in the ring as Chelsea Green treats her with total disrespect as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!
Match 8: Queen of the Ring 1st Round match: Chelsea Green vs Xia Li
Match summary: Even after the bell rings, Chelsea is still very dismissive of Xia Li and treats her with no respect… PROMPTING A SPIN KICK TO THE HEAD FOR A CLOSE TWO-COUNT! Xia doesn’t waste time lining up Chelsea to go for a CORKSCREW ROUNDHOUSE KICK… BUT CHELSEA SLIDES OUT OF THE RING! Boos from the crowd but Xia doesn’t let up as she leaps over the rope wiping out Chelsea Green on the outside!
Xia Li even outside the ring peppers Chelsea with a flurry of kicks and strikes before bringing her back into the ring. This though gives Chelsea the opportunity she needs to stop Xia Li for a moment and get some offense in on her. Xia Li though is still able to control the match and Chelsea Green is on the ropes, falling back into the corner as she EXPOSES THE TURNBUCKLE!
The referee however spots it and goes to fix it AS CHELSEA TAKES SOMETHING FROM HER CLEAVAGE AND SPRAYS XIA LI IN THE EYE WITH IT! Chelsea tosses the bottle of what must have been mace out of the ring and hits the I’M PRETTIER on Xia Li! The crowd are booing loudly but Chelsea just taunts them as she gets the attention of the referee and makes the cover 1 2 3 Chelsea Green advances to the last 16!
Winner via pinfall: Chelsea Green (6:06)
Boos from the live crowd as Chelsea Green gets to her face with a smug smile and is clearly proud of her victory tonight even though it came via underhanded means.
Michael Cole: Chelsea Green picks up the win but she had a little help there.
Elias: According to the ringside crew, it was mace. Chelsea doing whatever it takes to make sure she walks away as Queen of the Ring.
Back in the ring, Xia Li is still struggling after being sprayed as Chelsea glares at her, pissed off at being shown up. She waits for Xia Li to struggle to her feet, rubbing her eyes as CHELSEA GREEN CONNECTS WITH A BIG BOOT TO THE HEAD DROPPING HER! Chelsea then bends down and starts hitting Xia Li in the head with a series of punches looking to make her pay for even offering a challenge and it looks like it is going to get worse until…
*SHAKE SHAKE*
TAYNARA CONTI runs down the entrance ramp and heads straight to the ring, immediately going after Chelsea Green! The top face of the Robert Stone Brand quickly flees from the ring and heads up the ramp running away from her last sixteen opponent!
Michael Cole: Taynara Conti saving her tag team partner from a further assault by Chelsea tonight!
Elias: We very nearly got a round of sixteen preview just now between the two women!
Michael Cole: Well these two women will collide in two weeks and the winner will enter the Quarterfinals of the Queen of the Ring.
Elias: A lot on the line Michael but when we return we will hear from Samoa Joe who has a message to send to the Hurt Business. Don’t go anywhere!

When we return from the commercial break, we see SAMOA JOE standing backstage in a shirt and jeans ready to speak.
Samoa Joe: MVP is right, I’ve been thinking about joining his group. But as he said I am a smart man.
Joe smirks slightly remaining serious.
Samoa Joe: I don’t want to join a group full of people I have to carry on my back. I want to make sure I get gold back around my waist.
Joe looks furious glaring at his hands before speaking more.
Samoa Joe: If you want me to join the Hurt Business Montel, I’m going to need to test your clients firsthand. See if they survive.
Joe has a smirk on his face.
Samoa Joe: I’ve spoken to Adam Pearce and he has agreed to let me fight Lio Rush next week!
A big singles match signed for next week’s Monday Night Raw!
Samoa Joe: I’ll either break the Hurt Business or toughen it up and lead them as I become the Universal Champion!
Joe smirks once again as the promo comes to an end and we cut back to the commentary team at ringside.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Cole: Well I’ve just word from Adam Pearce and it is official. On next week’s Raw, we will see Samoa Joe take on Lio Rush!
Elias: A tough match for Lio Rush due to the size difference, can the guidance of MVP help him overcome Samoa Joe?
Michael Cole: And if he does will that convince Joe to join the Hurt Business?
Elias: We shall see next week but right now we are going to take a look at an interview that took place earlier tonight between Aleister Black and Andrade Cien Almas by Renee Young ahead of their sixty-minute Ironman World title match in two weeks. Let’s take a look.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut to a room backstage with ALEISTER BLACK sitting in jeans and wearing a gothic shirt with a leather sleeveless jacket over it across from ANDRADE CIEN ALMAS who is wearing a crisp white suit. RENEE YOUNG is sat in between them and looks to get the interview underway.
Renee Young: Gentleman thank you for agreeing to this interview and for agreeing to no psychical contact throughout.
Aleister nods whilst Andrade smirks and shakes his head as Renee carries on.
Renee Young: We will start with the champion, Aleister at Wrestlemania you stuck to your word and pinned not only Brock Lesnar but Andrade as well.
Aleister Black nods stoically whilst Andrade scowls upon the mention of his loss at Wrestlemania.
Renee Young: How great did it feel to stick to your words and become WWE Champion pinning both men to win the title?
Aleister Black: It felt great to get the devils off my back.
Black takes a moment to pause as he looks Andrade right in the eyes.
Aleister Black: And prove this title belongs around my waist…
Andrade Cien Almas: This proves nothing.
Black looks at him but remains calm as Renee turns to Andrade.
Renee Young: I mean Andrade, some could say Black did prove himself worthy of being champion by pinning you both?
Andrade Cien Almas: Did he beat me mano a mano?
Renee shakes her head bringing a smile back to Andrade’s face.
Andrade Cien Almas: Exactly. Since coming to Raw, every time it is just me and him, I win!
Andrade looks very smug as Black shakes his head not in the mood for this but Renee speaks instead.
Renee Young: With all due respect Andrade, the opposite was true in NXT and the main change since then is you now have the Ungovernables by your side. And we know they won’t be at ringside in two weeks.
Andrade looks furious but before he can respond Black leans forward.
Aleister Black: The lady is right Andrade.
Andrade glares at Black but he carries on.
Aleister Black: You may think you have the advantage after picking the match, but you gave up your key edge. Your allies.
Andrade glares at Black as Renee asks her next question.
Renee Young: Well focusing on two weeks time, you two will both take part in a match type neither of you has competed in before: An ironman match.
Both men nod.
Renee Young: Over the years we have seen some of the best superstars in WWE history fight in those matches and the tolls it can take on the body, the stamina needed to compete can break even the best. Why did you pick an Ironman match, Andrade?
Andrade smiles as he looks at Renee.
Andrade Cien Almas: I picked it so there can be no doubt.
He points at Black.
Andrade Cien Almas: You make all these excuses when I outsmart you. I use my cunning to beat you but you cry.
Black shakes his head in disbelief.
Andrade Cien Almas: And I will rack up fall after fall after fall until there is no doubt who El Idolo is!
Renee turns to Aleister Black.
Renee Young: Aleister do you have any thoughts about fighting Andrade in an Ironman match?
Black uncharacteristically smirks slightly as he looks Andrade dead in the eyes and GETS UP WALKING TOWARDS HIM! Andrade gets to his feet as Renee gets ready to intervene but Black just smiles making it clear he won’t hit Andrade.
Aleister Black: For all your talk, what are you going to do if drop you in the first minute, Andrade?
Andrade scoffs at the thought but Black clearly doesn’t find it funny remaining silent.
Aleister Black: You won’t have Zelina in your corner.
That wipes the smile off Andrade’s face.
Aleister Black: You’ll be all alone, game plan out the window. Can you handle that? Or will you just fade, fade to black?
Andrade glares at Aleister Black clearly furious before storming off bringing the interview to an abrupt end. Aleister stands there with a smile on his face as we cut elsewhere…

And we see MUSTAFA ALI walking towards the ring! However, before the champion makes it to the ring he is stopped by CHARLY CARUSO!
Charly Caruso: Mustafa, can I get a few words ahead of your title defense?
Mustafa stops and nods as Charly carries on.
Charly Caruso: You asked Adam Pearce for this match, putting your title reign in great jeopardy since you could not be involved in the decision and lose your Cruiserweight title. Why did you do that?
Mustafa nods understanding the question.
Mustafa Ali: It’s a massive risk but I felt I needed to take that risk.
Ali stops for a moment before looking Charly in the eye.
Mustafa Ali: I’ll start with Dolph. You saw what he did at Backlash correct?
Charly nods.
Mustafa Ali: He keeps saying he is the reason I still have this.
Ali lifts up his Cruiserweight title.
Mustafa Ali: I never asked him for help. I didn’t want his help and I refuse to be a champion who relies on others to get the job done. Which brings me to Angel Garza.
Charly smiles upon hearing that name as Ali raises an eyebrow.
Mustafa Ali: A fan?
Charly blushes before shaking her head rapidly.
Mustafa Ali: I’ll ignore that.
Ali smirks for a moment as Charly looks slightly embarrassed.
Mustafa Ali: Angel needs help and can’t get the job done by himself. I don’t want to be like Angel Garza. I don’t want him to have any excuses.
Ali pats the title on his shoulder.
Mustafa Ali: I have held this title for seven months! I’ve been a fighting champion and I intend to keep on fighting!
Mustafa Ali walks off bringing the interview to an end as he heads to the ring.
Michael Cole: When we come back, the Cruiserweight title is on the line in our main event in a triple-threat match! Don’t go anywhere!

*HERE TO SHOW THE WORLD*
A decent pop from the live crowd as we return from the commercial break and DOLPH ZIGGLER makes his way out. He does his usual show-off dance for the crowd before walking down the ramp ready to become Cruiserweight Champion tonight!
Michael Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw and right now we are going to see the Cruiserweight title on the line in a triple threat match as part of our main event.
Elias: Dolph Ziggler came very close at Wrestlemania to defeating Mustafa Ali but came up just short.
Michael Cole: Dolph thinks he may have been too caught up in it being his first-ever singles Wrestlemania match.
Elias: The occasion can get to you but tonight is a big occasion. Main eventing Raw and potentially closing a show as a champion is a huge deal.
*RAPIDO*
Boos from the crowd as the cocky ANGEL GARZA walks out and dances to the delight of the female fans at home. He has a rose in his mouth as he walks to a female fan in the front row and gives her the rose before walking to the ringside area, avoiding Ziggler in the ring.
Michael Cole: Angel Garza felt robbed after what happened at Backlash due to Dolph Ziggler’s interference.
Elias: Though it could be easily argued that Dolph Ziggler was evening the odds after Shinsuke Nakamura kept getting involved.
Michael Cole: But tonight no members of the Ungovernables or members of the roster are allowed at ringside during the main event.
Elias: Adam Pearce remembers how Angel Garza debuted to help Andrade keep his WWE title at the Royal Rumble. He doesn’t want a repeat of that.
*GO HARD*
A pretty sizeable pop as the CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION MUSTAFA ALI walks out onto the entrance ramp. He holds the title in the air, treating it like his most prized possession. He places it back over his shoulder and marches down the entrance ramp with a purpose, not taking his eyes off the two men in the ring.
Michael Cole: Mustafa Ali has been champion for two-hundred and eighteen days, fighting all comers.
Elias: Winning a title is hard enough but holding onto it for that long takes an elite level of skill.
Michael Cole: But Ali isn’t happy with how he won at Backlash thanks to Dolph Ziggler.
Elias: Leading to Mustafa Ali demanding this triple threat match tonight!
Mustafa Ali hops over the ropes and stares down Ziggler. Angel Garza smirks as he slides into the ring smirking whilst the usual title announcements are done. Ziggler and Ali are still glaring at each other Garza smirks to himself as the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway.
Main event: Cruiserweight title triple threat match: Mustafa Ali © vs Angel Garza vs Dolph Ziggler
Match summary: As soon as the bell rings, BOTH ZIGGLER AND ALI TURN AROUND SUPERKICKING GARZA OUT OF THE RING! Loud cheers as the two rivals both work together to wipe out Angel before turning their attention to each other and throwing hands in the middle of the ring! They brawl with each other before Angel Garza makes his presence felt once again making it feel much more like a three-person affair. As the match carries on we get a series of unique spots with them all staying in the ring for the majority of the bout.
Ziggler and Garza try to keep Ali grounded but the champion shows exactly why he has held onto the title for just over 7 months with unique high-flying offense including a 450 TO THE RIGHT ARM OF GARZA! This comes into play later in the match causing Angel to be unable to hit a WING CLIPPER ON ZIGGLER! Angel tries to sneak in and take advantage of anything Ali or Ziggler does but the two faces are ready for him each time and in the closing stages of the match they team up to hit a SUPERKICK/ZIG ZAG combo as he rolls out of the ring leaving Ziggler and Ali alone with each other.
Ziggler and Ali counter each other’s moves, being familiar with each other after their Wrestlemania clash but Ali hits a STANDING SPANISH FLY ON ZIGGLER! Ali makes the cover but Ziggler kicks out at 2! Ali nods and heads to the corner of the ring as he lines up Ziggler for the 054… BUT A WOMAN FROM THE CROWD IN A HOODIE RUNS INTO THE RING GRABBING HIS FOOT! Ali is distracted and shakes her off before climbing off the ropes telling her to leave… AS ANGEL CLOCKS HIM IN THE BACK WITH THE CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE! It’s all legal in a triple threat match and the woman in question pulls down her hoodie revealing…
EVA MARIE!!!
Nuclear heat from the crowd for her appearing and Garza tosses the title down as he looks at her… BEFORE MAKING OUT WITH THE VILLAINOUS VIXEN! Garza breaks it smirking as we can see Ziggler struggling back up as Garza slides back into the ring and CLOCKS ZIGGLER BETWEEN THE EYES WITH THE CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE! Garza tosses it to the mat with a smirk before hooking the leg 1 2 3 ANGEL GARZA IS THE NEW CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION!
Winner via pinfall and NEW Cruiserweight Champion: Angel Garza (15:56)
Massive boos ring out from the live crowd as Angel Garza wins a Cruiserweight title for the second time in WWE (after his first in NXT) and is joined by Eva Marie in the ring with her passing him the title!
Michael Cole: Angel Garza steals the title tonight!
Elias: Thanks to Eva Marie, someone we haven’t seen in years.
Michael Cole: She hasn’t been part of the WWE since we saw her on Smackdown over three years ago.
Elias: The Ungovernables play the system once again!
Michael Cole: And The Ungovernables have even more gold in their possession.
Elias: One step closer to fully taking over this show.
The duo heads to the top of the entrance ramp and starts making out once again with Angel Garza having the Cruiserweight title wrapped around his waist. They are still getting an insane amount of boos as we cut to a furious Mustafa Ali at ringside as the show fades to black.
