The Royal Rumble kickoff show began with the commentary team. Comprised of Corey Graves from MNR and Aiden English from TNS. Taking it in turns to welcome the WWE Universe to the show.

Not one not two but a total of three matches were contested on the Kickoff Show of the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble ppv. In the first match the pair of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable© attempted to defend the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship. Against a set of monstrous challengers in the form of Akam and Rezar aka the Authors of Pain. The defending champions hit a Neckbreaker & Diving Moonsault on Rezar with Gable getting the pinfall.

The duo of Graves and English discussed the opening contest. Both men praised the performances of both teams involved in it.

Next the trio of the “Bulgarian Brute” Rusev (USC) and the Bar’s Cesaro and Sheamus (SDTTC). Defended the gold against the fan favourite trio of the New Day. It concluded with Sheamus pinning Xavier Woods with the Brogue Kick.

The duo of Graves and English once again discussed the match. This time Graves lavished praise on the heels, while English lamented that the New Day didn’t win.

The third and final match to take place on the Kickoff Show. Was a one on one men’s division match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Which saw the “Lunatic” Dean Ambrose©, once again clash with a man he knew all too well in Seth Rollins. This encounter was nothing less than a brutal drag out brawl of a fight. It drew to its conclusion when Ambrose put his opponent through an announce table. And this action resulted in a double count out.

The duo of Graves and English discussed the match for a final time. Both men were pretty sure in the shared believe, that this was far from over.
