Post-Rumble News & Notes
2019 Royal Rumble Winners
With the conclusion of the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble pay per view event we now have two more names to add to the history book, those being Becky Lynch (Women’s) and Seth Rollins (Men’s) with the respective victories. Both Lynch and Rollins have cashed their respective tickets for the showcase of the immortal’s aka WrestleMania 35. While it remains to be seen which championships the Rumble winners will challenge for at the event, it can be stated that they will have great matches.
A New Universal Champion & A New Heyman Guy?
At the Royal Rumble pay per view event, fan favorite Finn Balor put it all on the line to reclaim the gold he never lost in the first place. That being the WWE Universal Championship which was then around the waist of reigning champion Brock Lesnar©. Shockingly at the conclusion of the encounter not only did we have a new WWE Universal Champion, but we also apparently had a new Paul Heyman Guy in the form of Finn Balor. As the man behind the “Beast Incarnate” aka Paul Heyman turned his back on his long-time client and friend in favor of backing Balor instead. After the match Balor proceeded to absolutely destroy the former champion aka Lesnar, effectively writing him out of future storylines.
The” Beast Incarnate” Has Left WWE
If there was any lingering doubt on the current standing of the now former WWE Universal Champion aka Brock Lesnar following the Royal Rumble event. It was put to bed as WWE Chairman Shane McMahon has confirmed that Lesnar is done with the company. And the post-match assault at the hands of the man who beat him for the gold aka Finn Balor was done to install some much-needed momentum for the latter.
