WWE 2005: CHANGING OF THE GUARD
WrestleMania 21, the biggest event of the year, has drastically changed the landscape of WWE. With the defeats of Triple H and John Bradshaw Layfield, two new stars have taken over, Batista and John Cena. While Batista and Cena have emerged as the faces of WWE, there are also rising stars on the roster. Mr. Money In The Bank Edge has the opportunity to compete in a world championship at any time that he chooses. There's also Randy Orton, entrusted with having posed a huge threat to The Undertaker's undefeated streak. Stars like Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Booker T, Kane, and Big Show all remain reliable names who can make a shift from midcard to main event at any given point. There's also the experienced Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Triple H, John Bradshaw Layfield, and The Undertaker who continue to be staples of the show. But on the other side, the rising stars of Christian, Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, Paul London, and the polarizing Muhammad Hassan are all looking for that one big push to take them to the next level. In light of this, it is highly likely that the WWE's future is in good hands, and it is about time the changes that fans have been clamoring for are finally coming to fruition.
