WWE 2010: "A New Vision"

In June 2010, the state of Connecticut woke up to find Richard Blumenthal in the middle of a big time sex scandal. Blumenthal withdrawn from the US Senate race later that day leaving the one and only, Linda McMahon as the leader for the seat in the polls. Vince saw the exciting but grueling career that his wife choose for herself and decided it was time for him to stand behind her like she had done for him for years. So a week after Linda was left standing in the Senate race, Vincent Kennedy McMahon resigned from duties for the WWE.

Many people speculated that Stephanie McMahon-Helmmsley would takeover the company after her brother, Shane McMahon's, exit from the family company earllier in the year but in a surprising move the prodigal son returned to the buisness as Shane McMahon was made the new CEO of the WWE while Stephanie was given the title of Chairwoman of the Board. A new era had begun.

Shane and Stephanie embarked on their own version of the WWE, no longer bound by Vince's thoughts of crushing competitiors, The two decided to embrace it and went to the offices of Panda Energy's owner, Bob Carter, and made an offer to absorb the TNA promotion into the WWE. The Carters walked away with a modest profit as the McMahon's bought enough of TNA to hold the majority share of the company.

They decided that the new NXT television show would be the best way to bring in the lesser known names of the TNA as after the first NXT competition, the NXT show will become a third brand of the WWE. The show will shift to SpikeTV and fill the old Thursday night iMPACT. The better known stars such as Kurt Angle and Sting will be placed on either RAW or Smackdown as the three brands will have a new draft to not only disperse the new talent and also for Smackdown's debut on SyFy. The TNA stars weren't the only new additions as creative was turned loose and was able to bring in free agents from around the wrestling world. Shane and Stephanie wanted the best wrestlers in the world and they went out and got them

(The results of the draft and the surprise returns of some great stars resulted in these rosters
the BTB will start in mid-July on the road to Summer Slam)

WWE RAW live from Madison Square Garden, New York City

The Prodigal Son Returns

RAW opened up with Shane McMahon in the ring. Shane went on to tell the fans that he had a "new vision" for the WWE, something his father couldn't see because of his own ego. Shane told the WWE Universe it was time for the WWE to embrace the outside wrestling world and show everybody once and for all that the WWE was the "place to be". He promised after tonight, RAW will change forever. Stephanie McMahon comes out from the back, flanked by her husband, Triple H, she informs her brother that even though their father gave him control of the company, she still had some power around here, especially when she is married to "The Game". Triple H and Stephanie enter the ring as Shane tries to defuse the situation. Triple H isn't having none of it as he tells Shane that it was Stephanie and his time to run the WWE, not Shane. HHH grabs Shane but before he can inflict any damage, the RAW Heavyweight Champion, John Cena, botls from the back. He hits a few punches on Triple H as The Game bails out of the ring. The crowd is going wild as Triple H and Stephanie warn Shane that they have few surprises of their own for tonight's show. Cena and Shane don't look worried about the threat.

It's True, it's Damn True

We come back from the first commercial break and we see the former Olympick gold medalist, Kurt Angle, making his way into the arena. He is met outside by Shelton Benjamin. They both look at the WWE RAW sign flashing on the outside of the arena and Angle says "It's good to be back". Shelton nods his head as they both enter the arena as Jim Ross informs us that both men have been signed as newcomers to the new RAW brand.

Girl Power

We go to the ring as Jerry Lawler screams about the Diva six woman tag match up next. Michelle McCool, Maryse and Jillian is already in the ring as the RAW Women's Champion, Beth Phoenix makes her way out. With her partners unknown she signals to the back as Victoria makes her return to a good reaction from the crowd, then the both of them signal to the back as Mickie James comes bouncing out as the crowd goes wild. The match itself is solid as Mickie James gets the pin over Michelle McCool after Victoria hit the "Widow's Peak.". The winning team celebrates in the ring as the losers make their way to the back. McCool, Maryse and Jillian mouth the fan favorites and don't notice was is about to happen. Awesome Kong stalks down the ramp and sends Jillian flying off the ramp with a hugh slap to the chest. she tosses Maryse off the ramp next with a handful of hair, McCool runs up and connects with a series of kicks but Kong shakes it off and headbutts her and sends McCool off the ramp, landing on top of the other two, The crowd is stunned as Kong signals to the ring for them to bring it on. Victoria runs up the ramp but Kong catches her with a thudding sidewalk slam on the ramp.Mickie James, then takes her turn and connects with a flurry of punches that sends Kong reeling but as she tries to follow up, Kong catches her with a knee to the stomach and signals to the crowd as she connects with the "Awesome Bomb". Beth, finally makes her way to Kong and the crowd is going wild, Stephanie comes from the back and interrupts, she warns Phoenix to stop right there if she knew what was good for her. She tells the crowd that she told her brother she had some surprises for the crowd tonight and this was the first one, Awesome Kong. Stephanie tells Beth that she is lucky tonight as Stephanie sends Kong to the back as the crowd boos. We get a shot of Triple H smiling in the back as the phone rings., he picks it up and asks the person on the line what time he was coming, he smiles and hangs up the phone as we go to commerical.

The Viper Speaks

We come back and we see Shane McMahon walking around in the back, upset about what happened before commerical when he comes across Randy Orton. Shane tells Randy that it looks like battlelines are being drawn on RAW between him and his sister and Shane wants to know on who's side Orton is on. Orton informs Shane that the only side he is on is Randy Orton's. Randy Orton is only worried about becoming RAW Heavyweight Champion, if Shane or Stephanie can help him with that, then that is who side he is on. He walks away with a roar from the crowd as Shane is left contemplating what he said. The crowd pops up as AJ Styles walks up, he thanks Shane for the chance to come to the WWE and espeically RAW to show the world what he can do. Shane tells him that AJ was one of many exciting signings that he made the past few weeks and they have made Shane decide to bring back the WWE Cruiserweight Title and tonight we will crown the new champion in a Battle Royal up next. AJ Styles tells him that he will make history by winning a WWE Championship in his first ever WWE match. Shane wishes him luck as Styles walks off.

High Flying Action

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are pumped up as Yoshi Tatsu comes from the back as we see Tyson Kidd already in the ring. They are joined by WWE veterans Evan Bourne, Hurricane Helms and Jamie Noble as well as WWE newcomers Alex Shelley, Amazing Red, Petey Williams, Jay Lethal and AJ Styles. The match starts and Jamie Noble is the first eliminated as AJ Styles knock him out with a "Pele Kick". Then a few moments laster a hurricarana on Petey Williams goes wrong for Amazing Red as Williams uses his strength to carry him over to the ropes but Tyson Kidd runs over and eliminates both men, shoving them over the top rope, leaving the match to seven wrestlers. On the other side of the ring, Jay Lethal makes the mistake of going to the top turnbuckle for an elbow drop when Alex Shelley runs over and pulls his legs out from under him and then dropkicks him off the turnbuckle for the elimination, leaving six. The six men is going at it and the crowd is loving it as a rumbling is heard in the arena, the crowd goes wild as they realize who it is when Kevin Nash and Scott Hall enter the ring. Yoshi Tatsu runs over to the intruders but Nash tosses him over with no effort at all, Kidd meets the same fate from Scott Hall as he dumps him over the top, leaving four left in the ring. Evan Bourne connects on a missle dropkick on Scott Hall but is sent over the top rope by Nash as he celebrated the move, leaving three. Hurricane mocks Nash with the crotch chop and comes off with a cross body attempt off the ropes but Nash catches him and tosses him over the top as Styles and Shelley is left. Shelley offers his hand to Nash in friendship and the crowd boos as Nash shakes it. Shelley tells them to go after Styles but Hall clotheslines Shelley instead and tosses him over the top leaving Styles. Styles looks worried as he looks at both men but Nash stops and calls for the mic. He tells the crowd that they aren't here to beat up AJ Styles, that they were here to just stop an injustice for the WWE fans. Nash goes on to tell the fans that it was an injustice to have a Battle Royal for the WWE Crusierweight Championship without the greatest crusierweight in WWE history. They make the signal to the back as music hits and Sean Waltman emerges from the back. The crowd boos as Styles can't believe Waltman is entering the match. Nash and Hall attack Styles as he turned to watch Waltman on his way to the ring. Nash hits the Jacknife Power Bomb on Styles and they finally leave the ring. Waltman gives the fallen Styles the crotch chop as he picks him up and tosses him over the top to become the new RAW Cruiserweight Champion. Hall and Nash re-enter the ring and celebrate the victory as Stephanie and Triple H emerge on the ramp, clapping for the victors, Jim Ross is outraged by the turn of events as he points out the obvious that they must all be together as we go to commercial.

Animal Control

We come back from commerical to Shane McMahon's office and Shane isn't happy with the turn of events so far as the 'The Animal" Batista walks in. He tells Batista that he knows where John Cena and Randy Orton stand and wants to know where Batista is. Batista tells Shane that he has followed Triple H before in his career and wasn't looking to do it again. The crowd cheers as Batista tells Shane if he needs him, that Batista is there for him. The two shakes hands as Shane finally looks happy.

Get The Tables

We come back and get informed that the next match is a no- DQ contest for the RAW World Tag Team Champions as the champions, MVP and Mark Henry head to the ring with a good ovation from the crowd. They await their opponents as the crowd goes wild as the old music of the Dudley Boys plays as Devon and Bubba Ray make their return to the WWE. Ross and Lawler call them the greatest team in WWE history as the champions look concerned. The champs hold their own until Bubba Ray hits an implanted DDT on MVP and yells for Devon to get the tables Devon gets the table in the ring and sets it up as Mark Henry charges in to save his partner. He saves MVP from the 3-D attempt and knocks Devon through the ropes with a massive head butt. He ends up slamming Bubba Ray through the table and pulls MVP on top for the win. The champions get booed by the crowd now as Devon checks on the condition of Bubba Ray.

Redneck and Wrestling

We get a shot in the back as we see a new team to the WWE, Robert Roode and James Storm, watching on a monitor in the back. Storm tosses back a drink of beer as they talk about the champions. Someone yells at them, as former WWE Tag Team Champions, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch show up in the picture. They laugh at Beer Money and inform them their is only room in the WWE for one redneck team and that is them. Storm doesn't look worried about the duo as he chuckles and takes another drink of his beer. Cade is annoyed with his actions as he slaps the beer out of Storm's hands. Storm goes wild as he sends Cade down with a right hand as Cade laughed about slapping the beer. Beer Money sends Cade and Murdoch reeling after a lopsided brawl as they look at each other and proclaim that "They are going to like it here."

Goldberg...!!!! Goldberg..!!!!.Goldberg...!!!

We come back from commerical and to the backstage area as we JTG, D-Lo Brown, Ricky Ortiz, Chris Masters, Kenny Dykstra and Mike Knox standing around the back when the outside door swings open and Goldberg is shown. The crowd goes wild as the superstars look stunned about the arrival. Goldberg stares at them all as he walks by and enters a locker room without saying a word to anyone. After the door is shut, we hear voices in the room as Goldberg isn't the only one in there.

Showtime

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler wonder if Goldberg is the one that Triple H was talking to on the phone as the next match is announced as an Intercontinental Title match. The crowd is shocked as Booker T's music hits and Booker comes out for his return match to the WWE. The champion, Big Show is out next and he laughs at seeing Booker T out there. He asks for a mic and mocks the idea of Booker T challenging him for the title. He tells Booker that he has no chance to beat him and it might be better for him to just leave the ring before he gets hurt. Booker asks for a mic and tells Big Show that there isn't a doubt in his mind that he can beat Big Show but the truth is that Booker T isn't his opponent tonight, Booker was just coming down to watch the ass beating Big Show is going to get. Big Show looks confused as music plays and the crowd goes wild as Bobby Lashley comes from the back. Big Show is upset as Lashley enters the ring as the challenger instead. Big Show is shown up by Bobby Lashley's new MMA moves and is in serious trouble when Lashley connects with a spear. Lashley looks on his way to the victory as he signals for the "Dominatior". Big Show struggles to his feet and swings blindly for Lashely but connects with the referee instead. Lashely connects with a knee to the stomach and picks up Show and connects and the crowd is going wild. Lashley awaits the referee's count but the bell rings instead.
The refereee disqualifies Big Show for hitting him as Lashley protests, Big Show rolls out of the ring and retrieves his title as he shakes off the effect of the match. Lashley is upset as Booker tries to calm him down. Big Show raises the title up on his way to the back as he smiles at surviving the match.

Shane's New Plan

Shane roars from the back and passes Big Show on the ramp, Bobby Lashley and Booker T just look at him as he shakes hands with the duo as they leave the ring. Shane tells the fans that the night hasn't worked out the way he planned thanks to his sister and Triple H but Shane will have the last laugh. He announces tonight that John Cena, Batista and a mystery partner will take on Triple H and whoever he wants in the main event. The crowd boos as Triple H, Stephanie, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and the new RAW Crusierweight champion, Sean Waltman appear on the ramp, Stephanie accepts the challenge for her group as they all laugh. Triple H tells Shane that he better keep a better eye on his team as he signals toward the TitanTron. It comes on as we see both John Cena and Batista laid out in the back with "Kliq" spray painted on them. Stephanie tells her brother that he had a good idea but he better find a new team, Triple H jokes with him, saying he saw D-Lo Brown and JTG in the back. Shane slaps the ropes, disgusted, as he looks at his dream team on the screen as HHH and his co-horts go backstage.

Hulkster Returns Next Week

We come back from commercial whenJim Ross announces that next week's RAW from Tampa, Florida will have none other the WWE Hall of Famer, the legendary Hulk Hogan appearing as the RAW Guest Host. They talk about Shane McMahon kicking off his WWE regime with a big bang by bringing in the most famous wrestler of all-time in as his first guest host.

You Got A Deal

We next see Shane in the back as, he charges in Randy Orton's locker room. Orton stands up and looks at Shane and Shane tells him if he will join Shane tonight and if they beat Triple H's team, Randy Orton will get a title shot against John Cena. Randy Orton smirks and tells him he will be there and shakes Shane's hand. Orton sits back down as Shane looks upset about having to go to Orton for help.

Monster Mash

We go the ring as the arena is abuzz from tonight's action and the mystery of the main event when the lights turn to red as Kane makes his way to the ring. Kane is his usual stoic self as he awaits his opponent. As everybody is waiting for a wrestler, Candice Michelle's music hits as the beautiful diva makes her way to the ring. Kane looks intrigued as she makes her way in the ring and walks over to Kane, She puts her hands on his shoulders as Kane looks a little turned on as she flirts with the Big Red Machine. She then backs up and laughs at Kane as she announces his opponent as her new client, A-Train. The 300 pounder comes down the ring as Candice holds the ropes for him as he enters. She caresses his shoulders and gives him a kiss, as the crowd boos. She finally leaves the ring and the match starts. A-Train holds his own showcasing some new moves that we are informed by Jim Ross that he learned in Japan. Kane though takes control and was ready for the chokeslam when Candice jumped up on the apron, she flashes Kane, who lets A-Train go and walks over to her. She jumps down and Kane turns around into a big spinebuster by A-Train, he then catches Kane with a big scissors kick for the upset win. Jim Ross informs us about a medical update that John Cena and Batista had been taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

Wait a Second Randy

Randy Orton is in his locker room getting ready for the main event when Triple H and Stephanie walk in. Orton stands up as the crowd cheers, as him and Triple H get face to face but Stephanie intervenes. She tells Randy, that she knows that they don't have a friendly past but Randy is siding with the wrong McMahon. She tells Randy that she still has the power to give a title shot too and she would give him one if he decides not to wrestle tonight. Randy Orton doesn't say a word as Triple H tells him to think about the offer as they leave. Orton smiles and sits back down as we go to commercial.

Angle Challenge

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler talk about the Randy Orton situation when Angle's music plays and the crowd doesn't miss a beat as he met with the "You Suck" chants. Angle is flanked by Shelton Benjamin as they make their way to the ring. Angle gets in the ring and tells everyone that he is back to dominate the WWE as Shelton applauds. Angle says in his absence other WWE superstars have risen to main event status while other have stayed where they where at. He looks over and chuckles at Shelton but that will all change now that he is back on the scene. He tells them he is going to show the world tonight that Kurt Angle is still the best wrestler in the world with the return of the Gold Medal Challenge. He asks for anyone in the audience to challenge him but nothing happens. Angle and Benjamin laughs and Kurt calls them all cowards and turns to Shelton, He tells Shelton it's time to go and turns to leave the ring. Shelton turns Angle around and hits the T-Bone Suplex, he makes the pin attempt and the referee counts a quick three. Shelton grabs the gold medal from the referee and jumps out of the ring to the roar of the crowd. Angle is shocked when he sees Shelton with the gold medal and realizes he has been betrayed.

Randy Makes His Decision

Shane McMahon is in his office when there is a knock on the door and Goldberg walks in. Shane asks him if he is ready for tonight. Goldberg says he has been waiting for this moment for awhile and he will do his best not to let Shane down. He asks Shane if he has the rest of the team ready when the door opens and The Undertaker walks in. Goldberg and Undertaker stare down each other as Shane announces Undertaker has agreed to team up with him tonight. Goldberg smiles as Undertaker asks Shane where Randy Orton is at. Shane says he don't know when the phone rings. Shane is upset as he slams down the phone and turns on a monitor. We are shown Randy Orton getting in a car and leaving the arena. As he pulls out, we see Triple H, Stephanie and the others standing there. A limo then quickly pulls up and Triple H rubs his hands in anticipation. Shawn Michaels steps out of the limo and the crowd cheers. Triple H and Shawn hug as he shakes hands next with Nash, Hall and Waltman. He then turns to Stephanie and asks if she was able to get it. She tells Shawn that she got him a new contract and that he is now out of retirement. Shawn signs the paper and asks if the WWE was ready for the "Kliq" together again. The group walks in full force back to the arena. In the office, Shane tells Undertaker and Goldberg it looks like they will be on their own tonight. Goldberg tells Shane that he has an idea and smiles. He writes down a name on a piece of paper and Shane looks surprised. He tells Goldberg that he wouldn't do it, that they have offered him a job before but he always turns him down but Goldberg says he saw him earlier and he thinks he can make it happen. Shane looks hopeful again as they leave and we go to commercial.

The Main Event

The Kliq is out first as Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash is dressed for action as Stephanie, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman escort them to the ring. Although they have done everything wrong tonight, the crowd still cheers them as they await the other team. Goldberg is out first as the crowd gives him a mixed reaction, he awaits as Undertaker comes out without his usual entrance as he looks ready for business. The two make their way to the ring when Hall and Waltman cuts them off. Goldberg sends Hall down with a Spear and Undertaker sends Waltman reeling with an uppercut thrust. With two members already down, they enter the ring and stare down Triple H, HBK and Nash. As they stare down each other, the lights suddenly go out in the arena as the crowd goes wild. When the lights turn back on, Sting is now behind the Kliq members. Goldberg smiles as Nash turns around and sees Sting. Sting, Goldberg and Taker clear the ring as the match is ready to start. The match is brutal as each legendary superstar showcase their famous moves. Nash and Undertaker take their fight up the ramp as they exchange blows. Goldberg and Triple H spill to the outside of the ring as Goldberg almost breaks Triple H in half with a spear only to catch a steel chair shot from Scott Hall. The referee doesn't see the hit as Scott Hall crotch chops the fallen Goldberg leaving Sting and HBK as the legal men. Sting was in control as he goes for the Scorpion Splash but Waltman pulls HBK out of the way from the outside as Sting hits the ring post. The crowd goes wild as AJ Styles runs down and plants Waltman with a Styles Clash and heads back up the ramp after getting his revenge. Sting is down in the middle of the ring as HBK tunes up the band. Michaels goes for Sweet Chin Music but Sting surprisngly ducks it and catches HBK and hooks in the Scorpion Deathlock. Michaels goes for the ropes and almost gets there but Sting pulls him back to the middle. The crowd is going wild as HBK is ready to tap out when someone slides in the ring. Sting goes down from a RKO from Randy Orton. The referee calls for the bell as Orton stands over Sting. HBK gets to his feet laughing at the fallen Sting and crotch chops the fallen legend. Michaels turns around to thank Orton but catches an RKO himself. Orton stands over both fallen stars and slithers back out of the ring and into the roaring crowd. Stephanie and Triple H looks shocked at the turn of events as they tell Hall and Waltman to pull HBK out of the ring and they make their way to the back. Nash and Underaker are absent as they must have brawled to the backstage area and Goldberg checks on Sting in the ring. Orton climbs to the top of an arena aisle as the spotlight hits him, he does his signature pose as eveyrbody looks on at the Viper. In the back, Shane knocks over a monitor in angry and charges a at the camera, knocking the camera to the floor as RAW goes off the air.
