We are once again prepared to unveil this year's class of esteemed pro wrestlers joining the Wrestling Smarks Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, established to commemorate the legends of this industry who have provided us with countless memories! Following three excellent classes which have included a total of fifteen absolute icons of this industry, I have a great feeling that this year's class will measure up to the incredibly high standards we've set over the prior three years. This year we will induct five new wrestlers that I think you will all find embody the versatility, tenacity and high skill level that are required to make your mark as a great in this field of work.

Induction will begin THIS EVENING (CST) and continue over the next several days as I work to get everyone announced. Follow along to find out who will be added to this distinguished Hall, immortalizing their place as bona fide legends, hand-picked by none other than the WS community!​

Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for our first inductee!

Kicking things off, let’s take a moment to immortalize a worker whose contributions can be felt on any given night, in any given ring, across any number of continents. Though his time in pro wrestling, as well as in life, was not nearly as long as it should have been, this man left an indelible mark not only on the industry, but on the lives of each and every one of his peers. Remembered for his dynamic skillset which allowed him to flourish in seemingly any role on the card, our first inductee would create memorable moments and matches on such a regular basis that seemingly everyone has their own unique favorite. So, with no further delay - All rise for The King of Harts. Please welcome to the Wrestling Smarks Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame –-

“THE ROCKET”
OWEN HART

Yes, the youngest of the twelve Hart children, the prodigious “Black Hart”, takes his rightful and well-earned place in the hallowed annals of our Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. And on such a site as this, where we are constantly so appreciative of the high octane style that permeates throughout much of the modern pro wrestling landscape, it’s only right that we pay homage to one of the men who helped take the pace of the in-ring action in North America up a notch. Whether competing as a Junior Heavyweight overseas, as a midcard workhorse, or a tag specialist… whether playing a straight shooter, a bratty youngest child or a raging egomaniac… Owen Hart was the true definition of a natural. And it should absolutely be noted that, for as prolific as Owen was in the ring, there are numerous examples of Owen’s personality stealing the show. Notorious for his ribs, but commended for his stand-up character, there was certainly an aura to Owen that endeared him wherever he went. Among numerous other accomplishments, Owen will forever be remembered for his legendary feud with brother Bret, an ace tag team with British Bulldog, and his hilarious theft of a Slammy award. Regardless of the tragic circumstances that surround the end of his life, we choose to celebrate and remember Owen Hart for who he was in life, and we here at Wrestling Smarks are happy to forever cement his legacy as one of the greatest performers, or humans, in the history of pro wrestling!​
