Maestro's got an interesting story behind him. He's actually a shoot relative of Gorgeous George so he worked the indies as Gorgeous George III. However WCW had already given the Gorgeous George name to a valet (Randy Savage had bought the name with the intent that his brother use it, but he famously never made TV in WCW, so he gave the name to his much younger girlfriend). So he became the Maestro.

At SuperBrawl 2000 there was a skit between Ernest Miller and the Maestro, leading to the actual James Brown, the Godfather of motherfucking Soul, coming out to aid Cat. They did not advertise that James Brown would appear in ANY WAY.
