These are the pertinent posts about vigging Chimp. I'm not a fan of anyone directing the Vig, but this is what it is. Useful to refer to if the Vig does decide to shoot Chimp and then we have a record of who said what when this was first suggested by Magic - this also backs up my point earlier btw with Magic not softing that he's chimp.

The thing is, Magic is absolutely right about Chimp ducking the thread as scum. I saw it three years ago and I assume it still continues to this day, although that's the reason why I asked about his play in the time I've been gone. However, I'm more of a fan of pushing Chimp D2 than shooting him with 2 posts on the board - it tells us very little other than catching someone else. If we push him when he returns (or is repped out - assuming Odo isn't actually repped out since it was 12 hours ago and there's still no repping despite having a rep list...) then we can learn of his interaction and we have a direction for D2 (assuming people move on from me as I fully appreciate that I seem to be the chosen direction of a vocal minority as of last night).

This seems like fence sitting to me especially considering your reluctance to attempt to read Magic at all.

Why are you deflecting from giving a read on Magic so much but not other players? As well as having a lot to say about Magic as a player, his approach to the game but no hint towards his alignment?

You said yourself Magic is capable enough to force agendas and he's clearly pushing an agenda on Chimp here. Chimp from my experience is quite shit for activity even as town (talking Oct-Dec 2019, not the GOAT era 2012). Directing a vig shot at a player with no info on is hardly a safe move for town and using the inactivity meta as an excuse is just trademark Magic scum trying to get town to waste a vig shot.

Well, I see this was a town Banez who pushed through his scum read and turned out right. It would baffle me if he'd sacrifice a scum buddy there and then when by all accounts there were equally viable options on the table at the time.

He didn't latch on at the very end or in the middle somewhere. He really kickstarted it again (looking back on it at least).

I don't see any way in which Banez is scum at the moment. That was a vote to lynch and he achieved it.

Pretty sure he had already said it had to be him or brutus so his vote had to be on Brutus to coinside with that thought. We have been too quick to clear Banez before and the fact Brutus didn't flip loved means we should be hesitant to do so still imo

He is a town lean sure but thats all for now

Out of two roles: beloved townie and doublevoter, id' be lynching belowed townie everytime. Because beloved townie could be a fakeclaim for scum whereas doublevoter is provable role by voting.

That being said, i've seen doublevoter be scum before. I can assure you guys thats not the case today.

@Xenus When you say things like you rather just wagon chimp, I think you are failing to see a few holes in your plan. For one thing, you've now put it out there, so any scum worth a shit, if they are on Chimp's team and he is indeed scum, will now vote for him, there for giving us nothing on the flip. Chimp wont show up to defend himself or give any reads, so his flip won't give up any of his teamates anyways. It sounds a lot more liek you're trying to inch town towards doing that instead of looking at your tomorrow, I must say

You also once again have missed a big point too, that chimp, if town, will be a massive detriment with his usage or non usage.

Drop the attitude Xenus. It's a game where we need to gather information whilst trying to hunt the scum team. You were around in the 2012 GOAT era right?

You can't "wilfully ignore" questions about suss behaviour about why you're outright refusing to read someone you have said a lot about (that someone is trying to convince a town player to shoot someone who's not active and could likely be repped out for an active player - which btw, does not look great at all) and not expect to be challenged over it. That's silly thinking.

And yes, I saw your opinion about pushing Chimp D2 - I happen to agree with that.

But you dissecting the case to get a vig to shoot Chimp, saying you disagree with it and focusing more on clearing yourself doesn't actually offer town anything? It looks more like a token post to try and cover yourself IMO.

The fact "catching someone else" is written as a certainty in the first rendition of the post.
