Is there really any incentive for scum to claim loved townie?

I thought your reaction to Chris' claim was pretty weird and play around it was very odd.

You immediately voted him after claiming, then hopped off as soon as Odo said Strongman can be town. May I ask why?

My initial reaction was that Chris had woken up without a scum team around and in claim territory and given his inexperience thought he could just claim the strongman part of his scum role .

I've personally never seen that role as town and in my head it doesn't make a whole lot of sense as a town role. Hence the vote.

Obviously Odo rebutted some of my initial concerns so I jumped back to Jeff whom I still thought should be made to claim.

I still don't buy it from Chris and have said i'm still happy to lynch him.

because if haza was town i could have easily just not played for awhile longer and had town mislynch him and then jumped on the people that led the mislynch as scum, considering ya know, i can get away with inactivity these days.

last game i played i started playing on day 3 basically after saying we should lynch sky on day 1 through night 2 and she was never lynched. day 3 and day 4 we lynched non-town and still lost. i didnt even have a chance to narrow down my poe with mislynches that would help it as they were all used up by then. id prefer to now. i think haza is most likely going to flip town. youre coming at me for not reading odo. that doesn't really add up, why should i care about odo? i care about my poe and solving the game and odo isn't relevant right now to any of that, is he?

I’m willing to hear you out, but I’m of the opinion that him claiming strongman is ... well I’m not sure who signs off on that, and Chris isn’t exactly impulsive in the sense of this game?

out of everyone that was posting in the first 15 pages he was the only one around but not at all involved. I wasn't aware he claimed strongman but lol I don't think that's a reason to town read him either if scum have no fakes. Has he fake claimed since my first game and was it at all good?

1) I think Jeff is very likely town(post activity aside saying something about haza to the effect of "I don't care if he's town we are still removing a detriment from the game" is something I only see a town player saying and not scum.

2) I think Barry is town. Again his aggression to haza seemed personal opposed to "scum wanting to fit his meta" like people were saying. It was about the last game and basically carrying a vendetta. More likely from town Barry than scum, ya?

3) Haza looks like town too for 2 reasons 1) his posts don't read like how he forces thoughts as scum 2) his interactions and response to Barry, which he could have ignored rather than responding with "I can be an irritant if you want" 3) pretty much no one else is on his side I'm imagining and the thoughts of a blind happening is more typical against a town player than a scum one 4) trying to lynch the previous games scum mvp game that multiple people are annoyed with doesn't turn out well and is easy for scum to hop on and then point at those same town players blaming them i.e. I think it would be Jeff and Barry in this scenario

4) I like big man's play and responding questioning of Jeff's town read in Xenus as I had the same thought. Not positive he's town but a town read.

5) similarly feel tweet is town for the reasons I brought up earlier. Vibes town and the "gut town read on Barry" bit he has before saying we should read him on play was unnecessary by scum imo. they would just leave it as "barry should be read on play" as others were kinda hinting at barry being town just for having a pr. GUT part wasnt necessary.

6) i didnt like xenus initially because of his town read on banez, but his explanation did make me feel better about him because i think as scum he would probably go for banez throat for not voting me. obviously this changes if banez himself is scum cause it could be scum/scum interaction.

so including me this would be 7/19 people left.

that leaves 12. scum probably has 5/6 people so id give myself a 40-50% chance of being right on chris(im most positive about those first three town reads). if you include the people that were only active in those 15 pages opposed to everyone then that would be an even higher percentage. i think there's a very good chance chris is scum.

other person im fine with is banez as i thought he was weird too and he said he just needed to prove his vote as a double voter and it didnt matter who he voted, but like i said last time i played with him and he voted me and said "i should know youre town now" he was also the double voter in that game im pretty sure.

Well you had that one reads list that was prefixed by "this is all just gut" which to me devalues it already a little.

After that I haven't seen a lot in terms of forming reads or developing opinions on players. Can't really say nothing's happened until now either.

It's odd to me that you expect more from me when you, yourself were mislynched last game for this same reason and you've already mentioned it once in this thread.

here's a more straight forward answer: i dont the vast majority of you guys to set up end game properly with early game play.

straight forward answer #2: you never push me on day 1 and not for something as useless as "youre not even caring about odo!" yet the timing of your suspicion seems to line up with me wanting to push chris. is that just a coincidence or why exactly should i have had thoughts on odo and my lack thereof somehow makes me scummy? could it be an attempt to derail my credibility at the exact time i show back up and try to push chris! perhaps!
