I read this as you get told if someone visited another player, that player being Banez in this case. I thought it was just a budget watcher role

Out of interest, based on what?

I have reason to clear almost everybody on role, play or investigation result, and with you it's play-related reasons. However I think you're the most likely out of everybody left to make heavy WIFOM plays that you can then try and use to avert getting lynched. I'd also argue that the split and overall gamestate with the number of seemingly cleared people calls for desperate measures and plays you wouldn't usually make, like sacrificing Chris for the greater good of your team for example.
