just got off the phone with luke(the realest white in ws). he called me to make sure his spot was secure in the 13th round. now i do owe luke. he's a 2 time captain of the chuckers, a former mvp runner up, and has single handedly won me matchups against psych, and the late p1. not only that, he's made me a lot of money doing autograph sessions, and personal appearences. but even for the great ones, nobody beats father time. i don't know how much he has left in the tank. do i really wanna spend the $1,000 salary that comes with the signing of a 13th rounder, when i could get most likely(because the rest of this league doesn't know any better) get him off the wire for free? gonna be a tough decision.

Luke Walton?
He's a retired announcer alongside Byron Scott, James Worthy, and Robert Horry for laker games now.

3 weeks, Kobe's got 3 weeks, I thin 5 but hey ... he can be back shortly around opening night

Liked what I've seen from him in preseason at least. Yesterday I saw him pass the ball 3 straight plays lol. I will take the good with the bad, but it won't bug me if he goes off some nights. Just play hard and ill stomach the chucking. He's the starting SF clearly though. I'm expecting some 25-30pt outbursts and some 7-10, but hoping for a consistent 15 a night on about 12 shots

Lakers haven't had perimeter talent like now since 98. I like Farmar, Young, Henry, and Blake all gunning; can't be worse than Dwight trying to post up or Metta going one on one. And Kaman is a funny ass interview who p can hit a shot and passes the ball to Pau, which Bynum and Dwight didnt do at all. I also finally realized Williams was the one from the Knicks and not the Nets the other day.

Meeks And Wes Johnson could go fall off a fucking cliff though. They pissed me off in preseason, can't wait to see the real one.

It's a shame that our draft will undoubtedly follow the Yahoo! rankings pretty closely.

People are going to be reaching on guys just because Yahoo! says so.

A few notables:
Paul George Late 2nd round value last year, ranked #8 overall by Yahoo (feel bad for anyone who takes him 1st round)
Marc Gasol Mid 2nd round value last year, ranked #10 overall by Yahoo (not a fucking first round pick)
Ricky Rubio 9th round value last year, ranked #20 overall by Yahoo (LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)
Eric Bledsoe #46 overall (da fuq?)

Thought process with Marc, ZBO, and Conley has to be they won't have to share the O with Gay all year long. All their values went up when he was traded.

yea I get that. I mean if he's 20/10 with 2 blocks per game he's probably worth a late 1st/early 2nd round pick.

I also get why Bledsoe is moved up so much, but I wouldn't use my 3rd on a guy who MIGHT do well in Phoenix. We have no evidence that he's going to be anything more than a chucker though. You don't take chuckers that early unless you're chico.

George I don't get and Rubio I REALLY don't get.

Thought it was obvious by now that ranking don't simply come from what a guy did the year before but projections of what they could do this year based on their circumstances. You obviously wouldn't rank Paul Peirce as much as you would the year before since he'll obviously have a big decline in his numbers playing with the Nets. Paul George shouldn't be ranked where he is but not for the reason you gave. He put up crazy stat stuffing numbers last year but this year since Granger is back it could cut into his numbers though I expect Granger to be traded.

I'm still in the camp who won't be shocked if Bledsoe goes the Collison route and flops. I don't see starting pg when watching him, sixth man or SG sure, but not a pg.

Rubio to me is an invest if you believe Love will get hurt, bitch, and be traded before he becomes an expiring scenario.

Rubio is just more of the fact that the more weapons put around him the more valuable he becomes cause of his passing ability and his obvious ability to stat stuff. That said still rated much higher than I thought he would be.

As for the Bledsoe/Collision thing I wouldn't compare the two. Collision got put in the worst type of system he could be put in that didn't fit his skill set so that is why it didnt work and was doomed from the start. Bledsoe on the other hand is in the perfect situation that does fit his skill set. I agree he is more of a small SG than a point guard but still shit load of upside there.
