They wouldn't have known they got the janitor yet from how I interpreted Mando's role tho, I think once he got the 5 likes it would just be one of the stronger killing roles but I was thinking they weren't told which one until night started, possibly they were told when the like threshold was reached or they got to choose and knew they'd pick janitor first

My understanding of it was they’d get to pick. Since it says you can only use each one once
