The contradiction honestly sounds like how a jester would play it so honestly it's up in the air for me, but it might be worth checking other avenues.

Nah he clearly didn't wanna be lynched when he said he could pick himself (which is more recent), I think he just forgot what he'd claimed before...cause it's fake

If the premise that he has to predict three death and then he meets his win condition is true - and then leaves the game.

Then if he predicts himself as the final death - he is dead. So he can't win - because being dead proceeds the win condition.

Also in an earlier claim - he suggested he would have to survive until end game, so I just think there is a lot of cap going on.
