If you want in on the Fantasy Draft, I'll give you a very basic rundown.
On Saturday next week at the assigned time, we'll be drafting players on ESPN, the site I have linked in the original post. You sign up there and set your team name if you want.
You pick a team with the draft order determined an hour before the draft goes live. If you can't make it, we can always pick another time, or you can just rank players beforehand and it will auto-draft for you. You can still get a decent team with an auto-draft.
One your team is picked, set a line-up. For each starting position you have 82 "games" for the slot (Matching how many there are in an NHL season). How well the player does determined how many points you get.
So in reality all you need to do is set a line-up with your best players. At least for the forwards and defensemen, if they stay healthy, they'll play the 82 games. The goaltenders are unlikely to play all 82 since teams give their starters games off, so you just check every couple days and if you see a goaltender is starting, or someone is injured, adjust accordingly.
